Chapter 1166: This is… This is wrong

Over the next few days, Arabel studied hard to be a mother, immersing herself in the manuals of the System and working out on the purchased trainings equipment. Not everything worked out the first time, but she didn’t strive for perfection. She had plenty of time to master everything she needed.

With each passing day, the outbursts of the fire element became more frequent and intense. If before they were just distracting her, now they began to cause discomfort and even mild pain.

One day, when Arabel, humming to herself, was learning how to properly swaddle a baby, she felt another cramp seize her body.

Her body trembled, and she was quickly covered in sweat, and her stomach began to heat up.

“It’s okay, baby, I’m here with you,” she whispered, frantically stroking her stomach.

But time passed, and the attack did not go away.

Arabel had never used her ice element to suppress an attack before. But this time she couldn’t take it anymore and decided to give it a try. To her surprise, she did it! The pain began to subside, and the fever decreased.

Arabel broke out in sweat and took deep breaths.

“I need to tell Dan and the others.”, — she thought. But then, not wanting to distract him, I decided to wait and see how things would develop.

When she had another attack after a while, she couldn’t stand it and immediately used her ice element. Quickly suppressing the pain, she made sure she found a way to control it, and pushed aside her anxiety and desire to inform Idan about it.

Without noticing how, with each new attack and use of her ice power, she gradually envelops herself in an icy aura, dulling her emotions and feelings.

After the Fire Falcon successfully evolved into the Golden Fire Griffin, Idan did not immediately search for the remaining five True Flames.

He waited for Livia to gather all the necessary information for him.

When Arabel re-entered the time room, Idan finally had time for a personal workout. As promised by Milica, she took a break from perfecting her alchemy skills and joined his training.

Since the Kingdom moved to Limbo, the dwarves under the leadership of Hector, with the support of their Doppelgangers, have built their forge. When it was completed, they moved there from the Temple to continue working on creating spatial rings and artifacts for storing contracted beasts using local materials.

Being Idan’s master, Miliсa took up his training with full dedication.

They both had an affinity for the Lightning element, and Milica was also cultivating her Path of Staff.

Idan wasn’t completely focused on the Path of Sword, and he didn’t mind mastering the skill of the staff.

During another sparring session, in which he couldn’t even touch Milisa, Idan fell to the ground with a crash, receiving a powerful blow to the head.

The lightning element that covered his body dissipated, as did the Staff woven from the same element.

“Damn!” he cursed, clutching his head.

At that moment, a bright flash flashed next to him, and a high elf appeared, shrouded in lightning and holding a staff in her hands.

“Not bad,” she said, but Idan felt no joy at her praise, realizing that he still had a lot to learn.

“Don’t be so hard on yourself, Idan,” — Milica smiled. “You’ve just started your training, and you’ve already achieved impressive results.”

“Thank you for the praise, Master. I understand that I’m just a beginner and I still have a lot to learn from you,” Idan said gratefully.

“I’m always happy to help,” Milica was genuinely glad to see him so open and honest. “Do you want to fight again or do you have any questions?”

Idan looked at the time in the System Window and saw that the appointed time was approaching.

“Master, let’s take a break,” he suggested.

“Oh,” Milica didn’t immediately understand why this was so important until she remembered her third student.

“Sure, let me know when you’re ready to continue,” she agreed.

Both left the Simularium, and some of the fatigue and pain that had accumulated during the day disappeared.

Milica returned to her alchemy lab, and Idan straightened his clothes and headed for Essora’s house.

Another day has passed, and it’s time to see my wife again, feed her, and spend time with her.

When he appeared at the entrance to Essora’s house, his mind was preoccupied with what to cook for Arabel.

The door opened, and the hostess of the house appeared on the threshold.

“Leader,” she greeted him.

“Essora,” he nodded in response and, having received the invitation, stepped inside.

“How’s Belle? Has anything happened?” he asked.

“No, nothing unusual happened,” replied Essora. “Wait here, I’ll contact her and let her know you’re here.”

“Okay,” Idan nodded, lost in thoughts of food.

Essora left and soon returned, but alone, with a slight worry in her eyes.

“Leader,” she said, distracting Idan from his thoughts.

“Eh? Where is Belle?” he asked, noticing that Essora had come alone and did not see Arabel nearby.

“The thing is…” Essora hesitated a bit. “Arabel said she doesn’t want to go out today and wants to be alone.”

“What?” — Idan immediately noticed that something was wrong. “Did my Belle really say she didn’t want to go out today? Is that true?”

Essora nodded back.

Idan refused to believe what was happening and tried to go to her, but Essora blocked his way.

“I’m sorry, Leader, but Arabel asked me not to let you near her. She also asked me to tell you to trust her and leave her alone.”

“Did she really say that?” Idan was still feeling anxious.

He looked at Essora and realized that she was only doing Arabel’s bidding.

“System, is Belle okay?”

As a result, he turned to the System.

However, to his disappointment, the System remained silent.

“System,” Idan repeated, but again received no response.

After some thought, he decided to trust Arabel’s words and the System, because if something had happened to Arabel and their child, the System would have reported it.

“Okay, tell her to find me as soon as she wants to go out,” he told Essora.

“Okay, I’ll tell you,” Essora nodded.

With anxiety in his heart, Idan left Essora’s house.

Inside the room, Arabel was breathing heavily, trying to ease the pain by holding her stomach.

“Everything is as I expected,” she said in a cold tone, feeling Idan leave, and with him a twinge of pain.

A part of the room was already engulfed by her cold aura and covered with ice.

Looking around, she realized the gravity of the situation.

“This is… This is wrong,” flashed through her mind.

Suddenly, she wanted to run out and follow Idan, but her own thoughts began to contradict this impulse.

She clutched her head, realizing that something was wrong with her.

She hadn’t slept in a while, and as soon as she got to bed, she collapsed and lost consciousness.

When she came to her senses, she found herself in a strange snow-white place full of snow and ice.

“Where am I?” she wondered, looking around.

But then her gaze fell on the outline of the house ahead, and her eyes widened in shock.

It was her and Idan’s house, but unlike the usual one, it was completely frozen by ice.
