Chapter 1180: Secondary branches
Chapter 1180: Secondary branches
When Idan entered the training simulation, he saw Ryan actively fighting Nemo.
A fierce flame engulfed the training field, in which two figures were rushing. Ryan persistently pursued his opponent, while Nemo dodged and deflected his attacks with amazing dexterity.
Almost every one of Ryan’s fire spells was destroyed by a precise blow from Nemo’s sword, enhanced by a dense aura.
At first glance, Idan realized that Nemo was deliberately giving Ryan the opportunity to unleash all his energy and strength.
Milica and Lina were watching the fight a little to the side.
“Oh, are you back already?” said Milica with a smile, noticing Idan’s appearance. “I thought you’d stay a little longer.”
“I would love to stay longer myself, but it’s all about Belle, who is determined to give birth as soon as possible,” Idan replied with a sigh.
“Master, you seem very satisfied. Did Ryan get your attention?”
Milica shook her head with a smile.
“With my imminent return to Junonia, I am surprised to discover that I have a representative of the Rain Clan, a Valkyrie, and even an Alpha among my students,” she said, watching Ryan and Nemo fight.
“Not everyone has the honor of teaching Alpha races, let alone becoming their master,” she added. “And since their disappearance, it has become almost impossible.”
Milica’s words reminded Idan of how she had told him about the Alphas and their disappearance from Junonia. This question had been bothering Idan for a long time.
From time to time, he wondered where the whole race had disappeared to.
Idan did not ask this question, as he understood that Milica did not know all the details about the events in the past Junonia, when the Alphas disappeared.
His gaze landed on Lina, who was gripping her sword tightly and not taking her eyes off the battle. Idan noticed the sparkle in her eyes and the bright blush on her cheeks.
There was no doubt that the girl in front of him was head over heels in love.
“I think now you understand why Nemo is so eager to return to Junonia?” asked Milica, catching his gaze.
“Yes, I realize that now,” Idan laughed.
As Idan joined in watching the battle, he immediately noticed that Ryan was an absolute beginner.
He had no System, no combat skills.
All the spells he used, he created intuitively, relying on the knowledge passed on to him through his new bloodline. However, he had no idea how to properly and effectively apply this knowledge in battle.
Moreover, he had only recently obtained the bloodline of a higher race and still did not know how to control his strength. That was the most important thing and the first thing he had to learn.
Thinking about how to help his older brother adapt faster, he thought of Ash, his symbiotic creature of fire.
After the Third Disaster, Idan found himself with several symbiotic creatures that were left without a master. Among which were several belonging to the creatures of fire.
Idan remembered Lucinda’s words about the different types of descendants of symbiotic creatures, especially the descendants intended for loved ones and disciples.
These descendants, devoid of control, have inherited knowledge and understanding of the elements and skills. As the symbiotic creature matures, these knowledge and skills will be revealed, and it will be able to share them with its master. Such a descendant will grow up independent, without the influence of a parent, but with deep reverence for him.
“Lucinda and Sierra used this method to take Inessa and Anna as students, and as far as I know, they succeeded,” Idan reflected.
He had heard that Anna had almost reached the Golden Rank thanks to her symbiotic creature of Darkness.
“But Lucinda has a Diamond rank, and Sierra has a Legendary one…” continued Idan.
He himself was only a Golden Rank.
“I wonder if my Ash will be able to create similar descendants?”
[Host, your Symbiotic Creature has been freed from the ancient restrictions, but its current rank is insufficient to create offspring.]
“Huh?” Idan was pleasantly surprised that the System had given him the answer on its own. This saved him from having to look for Lucinda or Sierra to find out more about the creation of the descendants.
“What rank is needed?” he asked.
[Minimum requirement: Fifth rank. Diamond rank.]
Idan frowned. Ash was still far from that rank. After all, Ash’s rank was closely related to his own.
[However, Host has orphan symbiotic creatures that can form the basis for the creation of secondary symbiotic branches.]
“Secondary branches?” wondered Idan.
[These branches will not be the direct descendants of your symbiotic creature. Their cores will be cleaned, rebuilt, and subordinated to the main symbiotic node. After completing the process, they will be able to receive some of the knowledge of your symbiotic creature and transfer it to new carriers.]
Idan immediately understood what the System wanted to tell him.
Right now, he can’t create a new race of symbiotic creatures, but he has the ability to transform existing orphan symbiotic creatures into the first group of free symbiotic creatures not limited by the ancient clans.
[Secondary branches are not direct descendants, but after your symbiotic creature reaches the Fifth Rank, they can be upgraded to the status of true descendants if additional conditions are met.]
This refinement of the System finally convinced Idan of the need to consider this possibility.
“What does it take?” he asked.
As soon as the question was asked, a System window appeared in front of him with a list of necessary resources.:
——————–
** Creation of “Secondary Branches” of a Symbiotic Creature**
* Symbiotic creature of Fire
* “Small High-quality Soul Crystal”
* Fire Element crystal of rank 3 — 3 pieces.
——————–
Idan’s eyes lit up. All these resources were at his fingertips.
[Warning. Not all symbiotic creatures will be able to withstand the purification and establish a connection with the main symbiotic node.]
“What are the chances?” Idan asked, and in response he heard:
[50-50].
“Pan or gone, huh?” he said, sitting down.
Milica, who was watching his actions, did not ask any questions.
One by one, Idan extracted the necessary resources, and the last one was a small transparent fireball, inside of which an orphan Symbiotic Fire creature was hiding.
Following the instructions of the System, Idan opened a gap in the sphere of fire and, throwing resources inside, took it with both hands.
“Come on, Ash, you can do this,” he said to his partner, who had already received the System’s instructions.
Thin threads of fire appeared from Idan’s ten fingers, which reached out to the resources and Symbiotic Creature of Fire.
The threads wrapped around them, and Ash began the process of purifying the Symbiotic Creature of Fire and trying to establish a secondary connection with it.
The process turned out to be slow and a bit tedious.
However, after a while, Idan felt a joyful response from Ash.
And he couldn’t help but smile with joy that he had succeeded the first time.
