Chapter 1197: What’s your nickname
Upon learning about the existence of such a wonderful feature as {Local Systems Network}, Hailey immediately opened the System Window. She easily found the desired option and activated it with excitement.
Earlier, due to the large number of system notifications, she simply did not pay attention to her.
“Hmm… should I come up with a nickname?” she glanced at Leo.
“Yes, you need to come up with your own nickname that others will see,” Leo explained, adding: “Think carefully. It’s free the first time, but if you want to change your nickname in the future, you’ll need to pay for it with System Points.”
“Oh! Thanks,” Hailey said with a sincere smile.
Leo, seeing her smile, blushed and quickly looked down.
Idan and the others, watching their strange interaction, were ready to laugh.
In order not to interfere with this strange couple, they began to communicate through the Soul Force.
Looking at the empty nickname field, Hailey frowned, and Leo instinctively cringed. The fear that had briefly receded began to take hold of him again.
When Hailey finally tore her gaze away from the System Window and looked at him, Leo flinched.
Her dragon eyes both captivated and scared the hell out of him at the same time.
“What’s your nickname, Leo?”
“Huh?” — Leo blinked in confusion.
“I’m asking, what’s your nickname?” she repeated.
“The Duke… the Duke of Insight,” — Leo muttered.
“The Duke of Insight?”— Hailey blinked her dragon eyes.
Leo reminded her of the title she had chosen for herself during the first Guild meeting—”Dragon Duchess”.
Just a moment ago, she was considering using her nickname “Dragon Empress” from her {Whisper Talisman}.
But now she has changed her mind and decided to keep “Dragon Empress” as a unique nickname for her {Whisper Talisman}. In the global and public network, she will use her title, the Dragon Duchess.
Hailey happily typed in her nickname and looked at Leo.
“Okay,” she said, “now add me to your friends list.”
Leo sent the request without hesitation.
“Oh, that’s it!” Hailey immediately accepted his request.
For a while, Hailey became interested in studying {Local Systems Network}.
Having dealt with this, she began to study the {Local Systems Network}.
From time to time she asked questions, and Leo readily answered her briefly but clearly.
Over time, Leo relaxed a little and began to fall asleep. Idan noticed this and decided to intervene.
“Okay, Leo, let’s go,” he said.
“Huh? Where to?” Leo woke up abruptly.
“To train, of course,” Idan smiled. It was the first time he saw such intense fear in Leo’s eyes and noticed how he began to tremble.
“Relax, I’ll just get you out of here before your Dragoness gets mad and grabs you again,” Idan said through a mental link to calm Leo down.
Leo’s fear and trembling disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared, and a joyful smile played on his face.
Hailey, who was initially delighted to see Leo being taken away for training, suddenly frowned and looked at him suspiciously.
Leo, noticing her gaze, theatrically fell down and began to pretend.
“No, I don’t want to train. Noooo!”.
“What an actor,” Idan thought, calmly turning to everyone. Nodding, he grabbed the screaming and struggling Leo with his Soul Force and dragged him away.
As he left, Idan thought about his baby dragon, which, to his surprise, was not next to Hailey.
The Dragoness continued to stare after him, she had a strange feeling that something was wrong here.
“Hailey,” — Irene called, distracting her from Leo. “Let’s become friends in {Local Systems Network}.”
“Of course,” Hailey said, looking away from her Dragon Rider candidate.
Leaving the group waiting for Lucinda, Idan and Leo returned to the Simularium, where Miliсa, hugging the baby dragon, had been watching Ryan all this time.
“So that’s where he’s been hiding all this time,” Idan thought when he saw the baby dragon snuggled between the High Elf’s breasts.
“Master,” Idan greeted again, loosening his grip on the Soul Force and allowing Leo to fall next to him.
As soon as he did, Leo collapsed limply to the ground and passed out.
Milica looked at Leo with interest, and then shifted her gaze to Idan.:
“Why did you bring him here?”
Idan scratched his head in embarrassment and talked about the ridiculous situation that had arisen between a newborn dragon and a homebody.
“The Dragon Rider? Who? He?” — Milica was surprised, turning her gaze back to Leo.
“Master, do you know about Dragon Riders?” asked Idan.
“I’ve heard the legends, but I’ve never seen them firsthand,” she replied, looking at him. “And you know, if that’s true, then Leo is incredibly lucky.”
“Really?” Now Idan was really amazed. If Milica said that, what he thought was mundane probably turned out to be something really amazing.
“Don’t look at me like that, you’d better get back to training if you’re done with your chores,” Milica said, noticing Idan’s gaze.
“What about the legends of the Dragonriders?”
“They’ll wait,” Milica replied.
Soon, Idan and Milica, leaving Ryan, Leo, and the dragon meditating, moved away and began training.
Time flew by unnoticed.
Lucinda reached the edge of the Ice Caves, opened an Access Portal, and the entire group, including Hailey, left the Kingdom.
Leo was fast asleep inside the Simulation, and even the noise from Idan and Milica’s training sessions couldn’t wake him up.
Finding a comfortable spot on Ryan’s lap, the baby dragon fell asleep, drooling.
When the appointed time came, Idan left the Simularium and returned to the Eastern Continent.
Pushing open the door of the Coldhouse, Idan entered and immediately noticed that the hall was silent and deserted.
Only a lone bartender stood at the counter, cleaning glasses.
“You’re here,” the bartender nodded, setting down a polished glass and leaving the counter.
Idan noticed that, despite his unflappable appearance, the bartender was a little nervous.
“Are you ready?” asked Idan.
“As you can see,” the bartender replied, glancing around his empty bar. “I hope you didn’t cheat and keep your word.”
“I can say the same thing,” Idan grinned, waving his hand and opening the Access portal.
The bartender had seen this trick more than once, but each time he couldn’t contain his surprise.
“Please,” Idan invited, inviting him to enter the portal.
The bartender looked around his bar again, then looked at Idan and stepped inside with a sigh, as if taking a decisive step in his belief that Idan would not deceive him.
Once on the other side, the bartender was overwhelmed by a rich, intense energy, and a truly incredible picture appeared before his eyes.
Idan, appearing after him, uttered the words that he would never tire of saying.:
“Welcome to the Kingdom!”
