Chapter 1199: Near the Ice Caves.

Chapter 1199: Near the Ice Caves.

“What are we waiting for? Shall we go?”

Hailey, inspired by the upcoming adventure, took a step towards the snowy lands, but she was immediately grabbed by the collar and pulled back.

“Wait, take your time, you fool,” Irene scolded her.

“Why?” pouted Hailey.

“We’re here to help Nemo conquer this Forbidden Zone, not just walk around,” Irene reminded. “The search for the Ice Dragon can wait.”

“Huh? What?” Hailey asked, cocking her head in disbelief.

Irene, frowning, massaged her temples and turned to the others for help.

“If we help Nemo capture this Forbidden Zone, it will become part of his domain, just like the Forest of Doppelgangers. So…” Lucinda didn’t have time to finish, as Hailey interrupted her, guessing the rest herself.

“Then we can safely explore it and easily find and tame the Ice Dragon I need!” — Hailey’s eyes sparkled with delight.

“That’s what they would have said right away,” she muttered.

The others stared at this troublesome dragon in silence.

Milena started up. They hadn’t reached the boundaries of the Forbidden Zone yet, but the cold was already permeating her body.

She used her element of Light to expel the icy energy, warming herself. Milena noticed that the others had already surrounded their bodies with mana, protecting themselves from the effects of the Forbidden Zone’s energy.

“We know exactly where the two remaining Temples appeared this week — in the Lava Lake and on the Wind Cliffs. Therefore, the Ice Caves are in their usual state,” Lucinda began, looking around at everyone gathered and stopping at Nemo.

“Yes, this is one of the necessary conditions for the beginning of the ‘Conquest,'” Nemo said, using a mental link to communicate with everyone.

“Meow!” the black cat purred, snuggling on Nemo’s shoulder and snuggling up to his mask.

Nemo turned around and, reaching out, gently stroked her head. Kitty happily raised her head, accepting the caress.

While Nemo was on Earth, Kitty spent time in the heart of the Forest of Doppelgangers, absorbing the Energy of Madness and visiting Izzy and Rizzy from time to time.

During the attack of the Valkyries, Kitty realized that her strength was too small, and instead of helping Nemo, she herself became his weak point. Therefore, she decided not to follow him to Earth, but to focus on absorbing energy and gaining strength under the guidance of her Geminia ancestor.

During this time, she missed Nemo and his gentle touch so much that now she demanded his attention whenever possible.

Momentarily distracted by Kitty, Nemo turned to the others and noticed their gazes directed at his partner. He realized that they were jealous and also wanted to touch this dark fluffy ball.

However, thanks to the contract with Kitty, Nemo felt that at the moment she would not allow anyone to touch her except him.

“Listen…” Nemo began, ignoring their stares, and shared the information about the process of the so—called “Conquest” that he had learned from the {Information Crystal} he had received on the day of the Temple’s conquest.

Of course, the Crystal contained only the necessary information, without unnecessary details.

“So, as a candidate, you have the opportunity to choose which of the six Forbidden Zones without a Temple to challenge. However, the format of the “Conquest” remains at the discretion of the Supervisor of the Forbidden Zone, right?” said Lucinda.

“Yes, that’s right,” Nemo nodded.

Three possible formats of “Conquest” flashed through everyone’s mind: a personal challenge, a team challenge, and a battle for territories.

Everyone exchanged glances and realized why Nemo had brought so many people with him.

He wasn’t sure which format of “Conquest” the Supervisor of the Ice Caves would choose.

Everyone knew that there was a Rank 9 creature behind the ice caves—a silent woman with long white hair and the same white eyes.

After a short discussion, the group decided to find out exactly what format of “Conquest” awaits them.

United by a common desire, Nemo led the others to a snow-covered slope, in the distance on which the outlines of a huge mountain could be seen.

Soon enough, they crossed the boundary separating the Forbidden Zone from Limbo and entered the outer layer.

Everyone immediately felt how the surrounding environment had changed.

The concentration of the ice element has increased markedly, and at the same time, the rate of snowfall has slowed down.

The group stopped.

Nemo turned to Lucinda, a man who had more experience visiting RForbidden Zones than anyone else.

“We’re here,” she nodded.

Nemo, turning towards the mountain, took a deep breath and then turned his gaze to Kitty. She understood his desire without words and, turning into a black substance, slid over his right shoulder to his missing right arm, taking the shape of his limb.

Irene, Arslan, Hailey, Milena and the others, unaware of Kitty’s amazing ability, watched in amazement as Nemo clenched and unclenched his overgrown hand.

Nemo himself could not get used to the feeling of his right hand.

On the back of his hand, Nemo noticed the familiar three slowly rotating circles with letters that intersected with each other.

All three circles immediately began to move, starting to spin rapidly. Letters began to appear at their intersections, one after the other, as if forming an unknown spell.

In the next instant, the world lit up with white light.

The snowstorm broke out so quickly, as if the Forbidden Zone itself had breathed into their faces. A white haze engulfed everyone. The cold wind attacked their bodies, seeking to destroy the protective layer of mana, and the icy energy penetrated through the slightest cracks.

Milena frowned, amplifying her Light around her.

Hailey instinctively clenched her fists, and her body began to turn red, but Irene immediately put her hand on her shoulder, silently ordering her not to move.

Nemo didn’t move. He just stood there, holding his right hand in front of him.

And then everyone felt it.

Sight.

The cold, silent attention of something that had existed in these caves for so long that winter itself seemed only its shadow descended upon them.

One by one, those present felt this gaze slide over them. He didn’t hurt, but he made my soul tremble.

Then the storm subsided as suddenly as it had begun.

The snow, which had been covering everything around until recently, began to slowly melt. An ice wall appeared in front of the group. She appeared out of the snow completely silently, as if she had always been there, she just hadn’t allowed herself to be seen before.

Silver cracks ran across the surface of the ice wall, and then formed into words.:
