Chapter 1221: It’s done

The last thing Nemo remembered, before the world around him turned white and dark, was the word “Stop” uttered by Supervisor.

Suddenly, an incredible chill swept over him, replaced by blissful warmth, and he slowly opened his eyes.

“Oh, you’re awake.”

Nemo’s ears picked up a familiar voice.

His vision was still blurred, as was his mind.

Only after a while did he see a familiar face in front of him.

“Hailey?”

The name of a girl with long red hair like lava flames and four graceful dragon horns on her head flashed into his mind.

“Huh? Hailey!”

Nemo jerked violently, trying to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through his body.

“Ah!”

Groaning in pain, he collapsed back and froze, breathing heavily. His whole body ached from the agony, but what he quickly noticed was that his wounds were slowly recovering under the influence of the healing spell of light.

Turning his head, he saw Ned, the first one Supervisor had taken away, alive and unharmed.

In the distance, he noticed Irene, who was tenderly caring for Arslan, who was still unconscious.

“They’re all here… they’re fine,” Nemo thought with relief, and only then remembered the recent battle, about Lucinda, about Lina and her sword.

Turning his head the other way, he saw them. Lucinda, Milena, and… Lina, who was sitting wrapped in a Light spell, surrounded by her two Valkyrie sisters at once.

When he saw everyone, Nemo was finally able to relax.

He looked up at the dark ceiling of the cave and allowed the light spell to heal his wounds, which he now realized had been inflicted by the «Rampage» bloodline technique.

As for his defeat, it didn’t bother him too much.

He and the others understood that they were participating in a losing battle.

The only question is, was the Supervisor satisfied with their actions?

But that didn’t bother Nemo too much right now.

Everyone was alive, and that was the main thing.

Looking down, he saw a black fluffy ball snuggled on his chest and sleeping peacefully.

As he watched Kitty sleeping peacefully, a system notification appeared in front of him:

[Ding! The bloodline seal has been restored]

[Ding! Dark daggers are unavailable]

Nemo raised his left hand and noted with regret that the dark mark had disappeared. However, he now understood that if he could remove the seal and awaken his bloodline, the dark daggers would once again be available.

Previously, Nemo had not been particularly interested in his origins. But this incident made him want to learn more about himself and the Rain Clan. Adding another reason for him to return to Junonia and continue his journey.

After a while, Nemo was able to sit down. And soon after, accompanied by the wind and a snowstorm, Supervisor appeared.

She looked around at everyone and settled on Nemo.

After a short silence, she tilted her head, and only then did Nemo remember that she couldn’t speak.

“Hi…” he said, using a mental link.

Supervisor nodded and immediately asked:

“Can you stand up?”

Nemo quickly examined his body and nodded affirmatively.

“Okay, then get up and I’ll show you something,” she said.

Still recovering from his internal injuries, Nemo struggled to his feet. His movements woke Kitty, who immediately jumped on his shoulder, settled herself comfortably and, closing her eyes, continued to sleep.

With a wave of her hand, Supervisor created a snow vortex that enveloped them. The next moment, Nemo and Supervisor found themselves in a new spacious cave with several entrances.

Lifting his head, Nemo saw a huge hole in the ceiling, through which daylight and snow penetrated.

After allowing Nemo to look around a bit, Supervisor said:

“Hold out your hand.”

“Huh?” — Nemo turned to her.

“Hold out your hand,” she repeated.

“The other hand, where you have the mark of the Temple,” Supervisor corrected when Nemo raised his left hand.

“Ah, Okay,” Nemo turned around and woke Kitty, who had just fallen asleep.

The kitten opened her sleepy golden eyes, met Nemo’s gaze and, catching his intention through the contract, turned into a black liquid, which, sliding down, became his right hand.

Nemo clenched and unclenched his right hand several times and held it out to Supervisor.

She, in turn, put her left hand under his palm, and her right hand on top.

Nemo’s hand, trapped in Supervisor’s palms, shone slightly, and he felt the mark on the back of his hand absorbing something cold.

By this time, Nemo had already realized what was happening, and his heart was beating faster.

“It’s done,” Supervisor said, and took her hands away.

Nemo raised his hand in surprise and noticed how two of the three rotating circles with unknown letters had changed color.

One of them turned blue, the color of ice, and the other turned pink, the color of the energy of madness.

While he was admiring his changed mark, Supervisor said:

“Now summon the Temple.”

“Huh?” — Nemo looked up from his hand in surprise and looked at her.

Supervisor looked at him calmly with her pupil-less white eyes.

Nemo swallowed hard and activated his mark.

The three spinning circles began to move, and Nemo realized that he had acquired a new ability, in addition to being able to open a passage between Limbo and Junonia.

This new ability was called “Temple Anchor”.

When he activated it, the rotating blue circle disintegrated, the letters flew forward and began to spin, absorbing the icy energy and distorting space.

The ground around them began to freeze and become covered with ice, and soon a huge block of ice grew out of the ground. Then it cracked and disintegrated, and a familiar Temple appeared in its place.

And then the Ice Caves shook.

No, the whole Limbo shuddered.

And beyond Limbo — there are all the dungeons.
