Chapter 1231: It's time

Chapter 1231: It’s time

Idan couldn’t focus on one thing for the rest of the day, so he decided to devote himself entirely to training. In particular, he actively participated in sparring sessions with Ryan, Milisa and Ned.

“What? Has Arabel gone into labor?”

The news that Arabel was in labor reached him in the midst of a duel with Ned.

Neither he nor Ned could restrain themselves and completely immersed themselves in the battle. During the battle, Ned demonstrated his new abilities, which he gained during a trip to the Ice Caves, which greatly surprised Idan.

He shot out of the Simularium and teleported to Essora’s house.

When he arrived, there were already a lot of people at the house, but what struck him was that Essora’s house was covered in ice.

“Brother!” — Irene ran up with Arslan.

“What’s going on? Where is Arabel and how is she?” he asked Irene.

“She’s inside the house,” Irene replied and added: “She has her three sisters Valkyrie and Bera with her.”

After learning that Sierra, Lucinda, and Esma were with her, Idan’s anxiety dissipated a bit.

He looked around and noticed Essora, who, along with her brother and Milla, were looking regretfully at their ice-covered house.

Besides them, Arabel’s family and his own were all there.

Despite the deep night, even Ina came in the company of the Fire Fox, who had always followed her these days, almost becoming her best friend.

Overcome with anxiety, Idan tried to use his Soul Force, but encountered an insurmountable barrier that stopped him.

“Sierra…” Idan found out and stopped trying.

Looking at the house with concern, he realized that he could only wait with everyone.

Inside the House, Sierra caught Idan’s “Soul Force” and grinned.

“Little sister, your husband is already here and waiting outside.”

Arabel’s tense face barely had time to smile before it writhed in pain.

When the contractions began, Arabel’s ice mana went out of control and froze Essora’s house. She also nearly froze her mother and the others.

Fortunately, Sierra appeared in time and suppressed the flash of icy energy, preventing accidents.

Lucinda and Esma followed her. As previously agreed, all three Valkyries erected a barrier around the room so that no one would interfere. They only let in the persistent Berah, with whom both Arabel and Esma had a connection.

“Breathe easy, sis,” Esma said, taking her hand. “It’s going to be okay.”

On the other hand, Arabel held Bera tightly, who from the very beginning of the birth could not take her eyes off what was happening. She was in complete shock, but she didn’t let go of her master’s hand.

Time passed slowly, but to Arabel, every second seemed like an eternity. There was a struggle going on inside her between two forces that had previously been united and harmoniously coexisted, but now these two entities were trying to separate.

After much agony, Arabel finally felt it.

It was as if something had snapped inside her, and soon her first child was born.

The room was filled with the loud crying of a newborn.

“It’s a girl,” Lucinda said with a smile, holding the baby in her arms.

The birth of her daughter happened so quickly that for a while Arabel really believed that the worst was over.

Lifting her head slightly, she looked at the tiny body of the girl that Lucinda was holding. The baby was actively moving her arms and crying full of life. For the “princess” who was supposed to inherit the bloodline of the Ice Valkyrie, her voice sounded too loud.

Arabel smiled tiredly, exhausted.

But the smile immediately disappeared from her face when a fire broke out inside her.

It appeared without warning, and its strength was so great that sweat instantly broke out on her frost-covered skin. The ice around the bed melted, and steam filled the air.

Esma immediately shook off the steam with a wave of her hand and tightened her grip on Arabel’s hands.

Arabel took a shuddering breath.

Her bloodline reacted before she even realized what was happening.

Her body began to become covered with crusts of ice. The power of the Ice Valkyrie rushed towards the source of the threat, surrounding the flame of her son and squeezing it from all sides.

The pain receded.

However, with it, Arabel immediately noticed how the beating of a tiny life also weakened.

“No…”

Arabel immediately understood what was going on. Her bloodline protected her.

With the imbalance, there was nothing to keep the fire in check without harming the mother. And now her bloodline saw this fire as a threat.

But this fire belonged to her child.

If the cold prevails, it will not only absorb the fire energy, but also harm her boy.

“Stop,” she said softly, appealing to her power.

For a moment, the icy energy froze, but then, sensing Arabel’s weakness, it began to push the fire even more fiercely.

Arabel gritted her teeth and gathered the last of her strength. The snow-white scarf lying nearby disintegrated and turned into her four snow-white wings.

“Stop!” she shouted, and the icy energy wavered, finally starting to recede.

At the same moment, the suppressed flame burst free.

“AAAAAAA!” cried Arabel.

It seemed like a small sun was burning inside her. The fire burned her body from the inside, evaporating the icy energy and leaving scarlet glowing cracks on her skin. Her instinct for self-preservation demanded that she release the cold and destroy the source of the pain.

But Arabel continued to hold on to her power.

“Hold on, sis.” The radiance of Lucinda’s Light that fell on her eased her suffering a little, but did not completely relieve the pain. It was necessary so that Arabel would not lose her composure and lose control of herself.

“Be patient,” she whispered to herself. “I won’t let anyone hurt you.”

A little while later, another child was heard crying in the room. It sounded in unison with the crying of the girl, who had not been silent in Lucinda’s arms all this time.

Suddenly, the boy’s crying stopped abruptly.

Arabel, exhausted and unable to get up, panicked.:

“Why… why did he stop crying?”

Sierra, who was holding the boy, stood motionless, as if mesmerized by the slightly cloudy azure eyes of the baby, who was sniffing, wrinkling his face.

“He’s fine, sis,” Sierra hurried to reassure her, tearing her gaze away from the baby.

Arabel breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, continuing to hear her daughter’s loud crying, which did not subside.
