Chapter 1232: Becoming a Father.
Chapter 1232: Becoming a Father.
Outside of Essora’s house, Idan couldn’t sit still waiting for the news. He couldn’t find a place for himself, but finally the long-awaited notification from the System appeared.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have become a father! Your wife gave birth to two beautiful children.]
[With the birth of children, the condition for the existence of the title “Hearth Protector” is no longer fulfilled. The title has been deleted.]
[Ding! Received the title of “Father”]
[Ding! The ability {Parental Bond} has been acquired.]
——————–
{Parental Bond} are the bond between parents and their children that empowers parents with unique abilities.
* This ability allows parents to sense the location and condition of their children.
* The parent may feel an immediate threat to the child’s life, which will cause an immediate increase in all characteristics by 100%.
In a critical situation, one of the parents can transfer some of his vitality and energy to the child, which will significantly strengthen him.
Note:
The ability does not allow you to take power from children.
The effects of threats to multiple children do not add up.
The enhancement of the ability does not add up to the unique abilities of the System.
——————–
[Ding! All restrictions imposed on unique abilities have been lifted.]
[Ding! The Ascension Trial is available]
“I… I became a father!”
After reading the System’s message, Idan was so stunned that he temporarily stopped noticing everything else. The new title, the ability, the removal of restrictions, and even the possibility of Ascension — all of this became unimportant to him at that moment, as if it had turned into information noise.
It seemed that he had recently turned 19 years old.
Then he met Arabel and became her husband.
And now he was not just a husband, but also the father of two children.
Together with Arabel, they had given the world two lives, and now they were responsible for their well-being.
At the same time, as the System reported this, the ice covering Essora’s house began to melt.
This became a signal for everyone, and everyone, first of all, paid attention to the motionless Idan.
No one rushed forward.
Everyone was waiting for the father of the newborns to go inside first.
“Idan,” Irene called, snapping him out of his daze.
“Sister,” — Idan smiled, only then noticing that all eyes were on him.
When he turned around, he saw that the ice had almost disappeared, and the Sierra barrier was no longer blocking the way.
Idan trembled with excitement and took a step towards the house.
He could have teleported right to where his wife and newborn children were waiting for him, but still gripped by this moment, Idan decided to go inside on his own two feet.
As Idan approached the house, the loud crying of a child reached his ears.
“My… child,” he thought, and quickened his pace.
The crying grew louder, and he noticed that only one child was crying.
“Why only one?” he wondered, and an uneasy feeling arose in his soul.
“No, no,” he began to deny, not noticing how he was already at the door of the room where the crying was coming from.
Pushing open the door, his gaze immediately landed on Arabel, who was lying on the bed, with Esma and Bera standing next to her.
It wasn’t until he was sure she was okay that he noticed the crying baby in Lucinda’s arms.
She had a tiny body, short white hair, and two slightly cloudy red fiery eyes.
It was a girl.
His daughter, who inherited the bloodline of the Ice Valkyrie and the Fire Valkyrie.
“Look who we have here, young father,” Sierra said with a smile, distracting Idan from his daughter.
Turning to Sierra, Idan finally saw the second baby in her arms.
It was his son who inherited the bloodline of the Alpha of Fire and Alpha of Ice.
He had short red hair, but unlike his sister, he had cloudy azure eyes. He didn’t cry, but he sniffed and blinked.
“Why isn’t he crying?” thought Idan.
While he was in turmoil, Sierra came up to him and held out his son.
Idan, worried and afraid to drop or harm his son, carefully picked him up and looked into his eyes.
The boy wrinkled his nose and squinted comically, as if trying to focus his eyes and see his father. His eyes hadn’t adjusted to the light yet, and he couldn’t see properly.
But, not being able to get a good look at the one who was holding him, he finally began to cry.
His crying was quiet, not as loud as his sister’s.
“Don’t cry, don’t cry,” Idan began to soothe his son, cradling him in his arms.
He felt a connection between his son and daughter and understood that both children were doing well, although they were a little worried about their birth.
While Idan was cradling his son, Lucinda came up to him, who could not calm the girl down.
Idan looked up from his work and looked at his daughter. Like her brother, she was very tiny, but at the same time so loud.
“She’s too noisy for an Ice Princess, like fire,” Lucinda remarked with a smile.
“But the boy, despite inheriting Fire, is too calm as ice,” Sierra noted.
At these words, Idan, Sierra and Lucinda looked at each other and laughed, thinking that they had figured out what the point was.
And at that moment, when both babies were next to each other, the girl began to calm down. Sensing her brother, she turned in his direction, and the boy, in turn, also turned his gaze to her.
“My children,” Arabel’s voice rang out, drawing their attention. During this time, she came to her senses a little and now she was eager to see her babies.
Idan and Lucinda exchanged glances and walked towards her at the same time.
“Here, little sister, is your daughter,” Lucinda said, holding out the baby.
Arabel took her daughter with trembling hands, looking at her for the first time, and could not hold back the tears. As if sensing her mother’s emotions, the girl began to cry loudly again.
When Idan came up, Arabel, all in tears, looked at him.
“Look, Dan, this is our daughter,” she said.
Idan smiled at her and, sitting down next to her, held out his son.
“And this is our son,” he added.
Arabel’s gaze fell on the boy, who was crying softly.
Carefully shifting her daughter into one hand, she took her son into the other.
When both children were in her arms, the feeling of emptiness and loss after giving birth disappeared, and she smiled through her tears.
The children, feeling the warmth and closeness of their mother, stopped crying.
