Chapter 1256: But not today
Chapter 1256: But not today
Idan was about to leave Leo to rest, but stopped.
He turned back to Leo and asked:
“What about Junonia?”
Leo looked at him in disbelief.
“There is no {Local Systems Network} in Junonia,” — Idan explained, and Leo immediately understood what he was talking about.
“I do not know…” he admitted honestly.
It was known that all the Awakened, without exception, teleported to Junonia and ended up on the continent of Ludelia, the continent of humans.
But the main problem is the lack of communication.
There was already a {Local Network of Systems} on Earth that encompassed all systems and allowed the Awakened to communicate from anywhere on the planet.
Unfortunately, there was no such connection in Junonia, and each Awakened One was left to his own devices.
The lack of a local network of systems, the new features of Leo’s system, and the Talismans of the Whisper—all these thoughts quickly flashed through Idan’s mind.
He was thinking about how they could find and collect the scattered members of the Kingdom after the mass teleportation.
Awakened ones like Irene, Arslan, and others have already had the experience of similar movements, and most likely they will find themselves in the same place where they were last time.
“Leo,” Idan said, “put aside the deposit system for a while and check the capabilities of your system.”
Leo listened attentively, and on the screen next to him, his system opened a new blank page and began taking notes [( ̄ー ̄)φ__].
“Irene and Arslan are currently in Junonia with Milisa and can return at any time,” Idan shared. “Ask them to help with the experiments when they get back. And they will come back because the sister will not be able to leave her son for long.”
“Will they help?” Leo asked doubtfully.
“I’m sure they’ll help,” Idan had no doubt that Irene would agree to help when she found out about Leo’s ability.
“We have about a week for everything, Leo,” — Idan added, reminding of the urgency.
“The Guild building should be ready by now. We will set up a special room in it for the Coordination Center,” Idan continued.
After completing the Third Disaster and visiting the Nexus, Idan and Arabel, in addition to the auction house, came to the conclusion that their house could no longer serve as a Guild Center.
Now they need a separate building.
“Okay,” — Leo nodded.
[It will be done! ☆(>ᴗ•)]
Leo’s system winked.
Idan stared at the screen for a moment, then looked at Leo.:
“Get some rest.”
With that, he teleported to the lawn in front of his house.
There was no one on the terrace. He walked over and sat down in his favorite spot.
His mind was full of many things, and each one seemed important to him.
Opening {LSN}, Idan looked through his friends list and found the accounts of Nayla and Yara, whom he had previously added as friends. Most of the Guild leaders were busy with their own business.
Irene, Arslan, Esma, Yulaya and Hazel were in Junonia.
Milena was dealing with the affairs of the Kingdom’s branch in Limbo, preparing for the extraction of Fire and Ice Crystals, coordinating her actions with Elira. And, as he knew, Ned was helping her with that.
Felicia was in the capital of the Federation, where she was setting up an intelligence post for the Kingdom, and with her was Octo, Arabel’s little fox.
Of all the people Idan could assign business to now, there were only Nayla and Yara.
He quickly wrote his request and, making sure that he hadn’t forgotten anything, sent it to them.
Less than a minute later, both replied that they would take care of the case.
The system window disappeared, and Idan checked the living room without entering the family home.
The relatives haven’t left yet.
His gaze settled on Arabel, who he could see was happy and enjoying her time.
He wasn’t going to bother her and allowed her to spend time with her family as much as she wanted.
Leaning back in his chair, he stared up at the dark sky dotted with artificial stars.
Idan enjoyed the rare silence for a while. Then he remembered that he hadn’t checked the list of active tasks for a long time.
Opening the list, he scrolled through it until his gaze settled on one specific task.
It was a task that he had received during the Disaster and put off for later. But in the end, he completely forgot about it.
[Find a Host whose System has the potential to awaken the “Husband’s System” and take him on as a disciple]
“As the “Supreme Husband System” Host, it is your duty to help the Host of this System by taking him as a disciple, and to acquire the name “Husband” for his System.
He remembered how he got this assignment, and even the name of the city—Rowan. This city was located in the south of the Federation and was subsequently swallowed up by the Fire Anomaly.
“System, can you determine where the potential Host is now?” asked Idan.
[The exact location cannot be determined.]
[Approximate location has been established.]
[The potential Host is located in the territory of the Kingdom.]
Idan raised an eyebrow in surprise.
“Is he here?” he asked.
[Confirm.]
“Ah!” Idan slapped his forehead, remembering that after receiving this assignment, he had asked to recruit all possible newly Awakened Ones.
“So he’s here,” — Idan said, looking at the system window. “Knowing this and the name of the city where he comes from, it won’t be difficult to find him.”
At the same time, he was filled with curiosity.: who is this person who has the potential to become a Host of the same System as him?
“But not today,” Idan closed the system window. He wasn’t going to break his word and dedicate these days to his family.
He could ask Nayla and Yara to do the search, and as soon as suitable candidates appear, Leo will easily gather information about them.
He spent some more time on the terrace before Arabel texted him to find out where he was. That’s when he returned to his wife.
After the relatives left, Idan and Arabel carried the kids to the children’s room, and they moved to the kitchen.
They could have gone to Sofia’s restaurant for a date, but at that moment both were eager to spend time alone in each other’s company.
Calm music was playing, and they were improvising, making fun of each other, without a clear plan or any specific goal.
It was much more interesting than just following the instructions.
Each carefully watched the other’s actions, trying to anticipate and adjust to his movements. Sometimes unexpected ingredients were even intentionally added to make the dish more original.
When they finished setting the table, they looked around the small mess they had made in their kitchen with a smile.
Sitting down at the table, they met each other’s gazes and, as if fascinated, looked at each other. Then, their attention shifted to the dishes they had prepared.
Idan picked up a fork, cut off a small piece, and instead of trying it himself, handed it to Arabel.
“Open wide,” he said, smiling.
“Ahahaha,” — Arabel laughed loudly and leaned forward, allowing her husband to feed her.
“Delicious,” her eyes shone with pleasure, and she took a piece without hesitation and handed it to Idan.
“Delicious,” he said, repeating her words.
Arabel smiled, but soon her smile turned wistful. Idan noticed the change and put down his fork.
“Is something wrong?” he asked.
“I remembered Lucinda, and I’m worried about her,” she confessed.
Idan remained silent. To be honest, he was worried about her too, especially considering their knowledge of the Celestial Continent.
After a short pause, he finally said:
“She decided to come back on her own.”
“I know,” Arabel said. “But still…”
“Belle, Lucinda knows much more about the Celestial Continent than we do. Besides, before making her choice, she discussed it with Sierra, so her decision was conscious.”
“She is now not only a Valkyrie and your sworn sister, but also the Guardian of the Light of our Kingdom.”
“Trust me, she’ll be fine,” — Idan assured her. And added: “She may be back in a few days, or she may not be back for a long time. So be prepared for that.”
Arabel nodded, took a piece, and handed it to Idan. He gladly accepted the treat.
They didn’t talk about anything else for the rest of the meal, enjoying the moment.
When they finished and started clearing the table, Arabel started talking about something else, “How soon do you think the Sword Hero will appear?”
“If what Lina said about her father is true, then he should be expected soon,” Idan said, putting dirty dishes in the sink.
“Lina came to me asking for help with her sword restoration,” Arabel continued.
Idan looked at her.
“System immediately gave her a task to help her restore the sword, but first she asked to get the Sacred Sword…”
“The Sacred Sword…” repeated Idan.
It was one of the seven Sacred Weapons belonging to the human race in Junonia.
