Chapter 1262: It doesn’t sound so convincing right now.

Esma’s laughter stopped when her hair bound her arms and legs.

Her eyes widened and she turned around.

Sierra stood behind him, still smiling.

“S-Sierra… I just…”

“You dragged Esmari here without permission, made Arabel worry, and now you’re laughing at your older sister?”

“But you just…”

“Arabel told me what you had arranged and asked me to keep an eye on you,” Sierra said with the same smile.

“Wait!” Esma cried out. “This is completely different! Sierra, let’s talk!”

Slap!

“Ahhh! Not in front of everyone!”

Slap!

“Yulaya! Hazel! Don’t look!”

Esmari, who was still lying on the floor, slowly raised her head. A malicious smile appeared on her face.

“Who’s laughing now, little sister?”

Slap!

“Shut up! It’s all because of you!”

When it was over, Esma was lying next to Esmari, equally disheveled and humiliated.

Sierra looked at them both with satisfaction.

“Now it’s fair.”

She turned to the portal.

“And no more nonsense. Arabel has enough to worry about without you.”

With that, Sierra entered the portal and disappeared, leaving a deathly silence in her wake.

Esmari and Esma lay side by side in silence for a while.

Esmari then turned her head towards her avatar.

“So you’re not me anymore?”

Esma winced painfully.

“It doesn’t sound so convincing right now.”

Yulaya and Hazel looked at them in silence. They were glad they couldn’t help but laugh, and that Sierra hadn’t touched them or spanked them.

After a short pause, Esmari asked Esma,

“What the hell just happened? Why is she so strong?”

Both she and Sierra were Rank 8 Valkyries.

When darkness enveloped the Temple, Esmari tried to resist, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t even move.

She was like a child in the arms of an adult.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have let Sierra treat her like this.

“Don’t the restrictions of this place apply to her?” she asked, not waiting for Esma’s reply.

Esma shook her head, “No, that’s not the point. The restrictions apply to her too.”

“Huh? Then how? Where did she get such power from?”

“Her Soul Force is much stronger than yours, and she used her Dark Spirit Form against you,” Esma revealed the secret, and envy could be detected in her voice.

“WHAT?” exclaimed Esmari, sitting up abruptly.

“Oh!” her ass was still burning.

“The Spirit Form? Sierra has?” She couldn’t believe her ears.

Esma nodded silently.

“But how?”—Esmari frowned. “As far as I know, there are few beings in all of Junonia who have learned the way to Spirit Form. And you’re saying that she became one of them?”

“Exactly.”

Esma confirmed and added, “She achieved this thanks to Arabel.”

“Arabel…” repeated Esmari. “Sierra also mentioned this name a few times. Who is she?”

“Arabel? She is our younger sister with the bloodline of the Ice Valkyrie,” Esma revealed with pride. “She’s also the one who helped me gain independence from you.”

Esmari stared at her for a few seconds, and then narrowed her eyes.

“Don’t look like that,” — Esma’s gaze became serious, realizing that she had blurted out too much. “I won’t let you hurt her.”

“Heh,” — Esmari chuckled, watching how quickly Esma’s mood changed. She was pleasantly surprised by how much Esma appreciated this younger sister, and she suddenly wanted to see her and talk to her.

“Wait,” Esmari quickly realized what she had heard. “You didn’t just tell me about it, did you?”

Esma looked away.

“I’ve already seen two phenomena,” she said softly. “I’ve watched others take on the Spirit Form twice. I tried to understand them, to feel the same, to find my own way to find my Spirit Form…”

She clenched her fists.

“But nothing happened. I don’t feel or see anything.”

The smile faded from Esmari’s face.

“And you decided that the reason is because you’re an avatar?”

Silence returned to the temple.

Esma raised her eyes and looked directly at her.

“Maybe I don’t have something that you have. A part of the soul or a connection necessary to take the Spirit Form. I do not know.”

“That’s why you called me here,” Esmari finished for her, finally guessing the reasons for the letter.

“Yes, I am.”

Esmari studied her face for a moment, then grinned.

“So you want to use me as a research material?”

Esma winced slightly.

“When you say it out loud, it doesn’t sound very good.”

“And in my opinion, it’s quite fair. After all, I was the one who used you as a tool before.”

Esma froze, unable to find what to say.

“Okay,” Esmari continued. “Let’s say your guess is correct. What do you want me to do?”

Esma’s eyes widened in surprise.

“You… Are you serious?”

A smirk appeared on Esmari’s face.

“It couldn’t be more serious.”

Esmari quickly realized Esma’s plan and enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity. If Esma’s theory is correct, then their cooperation will benefit both of them. By helping Esma gain Spirit Form, Esmari will be able to explore the nature of their bond more deeply, better understand her soul, and perhaps even find her own path to Spirit Form.

***

After returning to the Kingdom after Sierra punished the two Valkyries, she found that Idan and Arabel had joined the conversation with the Sword Hero.

Lina had already introduced them to her father, who was holding his granddaughter, whom he recognized.

Lovis was silent for a long time, looking from Idan to Arabel.

He had a lot of questions for this young couple, but that wasn’t the most important thing right now.

He handed his granddaughter to Lina and unexpectedly bowed his head deeply.

“You saved my daughter, gave her back her wings, helped my granddaughter find a body, and didn’t leave Nemo in trouble. Gratitude alone is not enough for all this.”

Lina looked at her father in surprise. She was convinced that a man of his status should not bow his head to anyone.

“From this day on, you are the benefactors of my family. If you ever need my sword or the Sword Sect’s help, you just have to ask.”

Idan exchanged glances with Arabel.

“In that case, we really have one request,” he said.

Lovis straightened up.

“Tell me.”

“Can you lend us the Sacred Sword for a while?”
