Chapter 1264: 2 out of 7

As soon as Lovis removed his hand, the Sacred Sword trembled.

The Sword slipped out of its scabbard by itself and rose smoothly into the air, hanging next to its owner.

There was a distinct intent coming from the Sword.

Discontent. Alertness. And the requirement to explain.

Idan looked with interest at the Sword hovering in front of him.

Lovis took his hand away and crossed his arms over his chest.

“You’ve convinced me, now try to convince him,” he said.

Idan smiled slightly.

“Of course.”

He turned to the Sacred Sword and spoke calmly:

“We won’t hurt you. All we need to do is analyze you, study your structure, the flow of energy, and the connection between the blade and the will contained within it. It can help to restore Lina’s sword.”

The Sacred Sword vibrated briefly.

A low, incredulous hum echoed through the air.

“The analysis will be completely safe,” Arabel added. – “We will not separate or destroy anything.”

The humming of the Sword stopped for a moment.

The Sacred Sword seemed to ponder her words, but then it wavered again and moved a little away from Arabel.

Obviously, the prospect of being the subject of unknown research did not appeal to it.

Idan and Arabel exchanged glances.

Lina, who was watching what was happening, suddenly remembered something.

When she visited her father, she happened to see a very unusual picture: a Sacred Sword coming out of the bathroom, and a small towel was neatly hung on its guard.

Then her father calmly explained to her that the sword likes to take hot baths from time to time.

Lina stepped forward.

“If you let Idan and Arabel study you, we’ll give you a nice hot bath.”

The Sacred Sword instantly froze.

The dissatisfied buzzing from it disappeared.

The Sword hung motionless in the air for several seconds, as if carefully considering the offer. Then it slowly turned to Lina.

“Very hot,” she clarified. “And no one will rush you.”

The Sword spun around and flew towards Arabel, stopping in front of her hilt first.

Silence returned to the terrace.

Idan raised his eyebrows in surprise. Arabel blinked several times, not immediately realizing that the negotiations had already ended.

Lovis continued to stand with his arms crossed.

His expression barely changed, but the corner of his lips twitched slightly.

“I expected you to have more dignity,” he said dryly.

The Sacred Sword hummed angrily.

“Yes, of course,” Lovis continued. “It’s not a bribe at all. You just found their arguments convincing.”

The Sacred Sword swung contentedly.

Arabel, who was about to pick up the sword, stopped and looked at Lovis.

“I want to take the sword for analysis, but I want to warn you: during this process, your connection to the sword will completely disappear,” Arabel said seriously.

Lovis’ gaze immediately became intense.

“That doesn’t mean that anything happened to the sword,” she added hastily. – “The analysis will take about one hour, after which we will definitely return it to you.”

Lovis looked at her in silence, then looked at Idan, who nodded slightly.

After a few seconds, Lovis finally agreed.

Only then did Arabel carefully take the Sacred Sword by the hilt. This was the second Sacred Weapon she had come into contact with. The first was a staff, and now a sword.

She did not put the sword back into the spatial ring right in front of Lovis. Instead, she turned to Idan, nodded to him, and entered the family home. Only when she was there, away from prying eyes, did she hide the sword in the spatial ring.

[Ding! The Sacred Sword has been obtained for analysis.]

[Ding! The analysis of the Sacred Sword has begun, and it will be completed in one hour. After that, it will be returned.]

[00:59:59]

“Two out of seven,” — Arabel said with a smile, looking at the System notification.

Meanwhile, outside in the Kingdom, Lovis frowned. As Arabel said, he really lost touch with his partner.

The connection was not broken. It existed, but he couldn’t sense the condition and location of the Sword.

“I’m not going anywhere and I’ll stay with you until the end of the analysis,” Idan laughed when Lovis glanced at him. “I don’t want you to think that we stole the sacred sword and ran away.”

The analysis was supposed to take about an hour, so Idan decided to join the conversation by taking an empty chair.

“Mr. Lovis,” he said to the Sword Hero.

“Lovis,” he corrected. “You can just call me Lovis.”

“Okay,” — Idan nodded. “Lovis, as one of the seven Heroes of Mankind and the owner of the Sacred Sword, are you probably familiar with other Heroes and owners of Sacred Weapons?”

Lovis, leaning back in his chair, stared intently at Idan.

“I don’t know them all personally, but I know who they are,” he said briefly.

Idan felt a little nervous, but he quickly hid his smile.

“Could you tell me who these people are and where they can be found?”

“Why do you have such an interest in them?” Lovis asked in response.

“These are Sacred Weapons! Legendary weapons that everyone knows about. Of course, I want to find them and ask the owners to borrow them for analysis,” Idan did not hide his intentions.

Everyone paid attention to him, amazed by such a frank confession. Before that, neither Idan nor Arabel had told anyone about their intention to find the other owners and explore all seven Sacred Weapons.

It wasn’t like he was the first to try to unravel the mysteries of Sacred Weapons. Many have tried to figure out how the Legendary Blacksmith created them, but so far no one has succeeded.

However, for some reason, everyone present, except Lovis, had little doubt that if Idan and Arabel took up this task, then the secret of the Sacred Weapons would finally be revealed.

After a short pause, Lovis spoke:

“I can provide information about the five owners of the Sacred Weapons, except for the Owner of the Sacred Staff, who is believed to be missing. No one has seen him for many years, and no one knows where he is or where the Sacred Staff is.”

After saying these words, Lovis noticed how not only Idan’s face, but also the faces of everyone else present had changed.

Idan scratched his head in embarrassment, and Sierra could barely contain her laughter.

“I’m interested in the five Sacred Weapons, except for the Sword and Staff,” he said.

After a short pause, Idan continued:

“Because we know where the Staff Hero and the Sacred Staff itself are located. They’re here in the Kingdom.”
