Chapter 1276: Arabel's battles.
Chapter 1276: Arabel’s battles.
Inside the Tower of Trials, Idan and Arabel had no idea what a commotion they had caused.
As soon as Arabel killed the two 7th floor Beasts and they obtained the achievement, they were instantly teleported to the 8th floor.
[Welcome to the 8th floor of the Tower of Trials.]
[Defeat 2 mid-Diamond rank beasts.]
“Dan, don’t interfere, I’ll handle it myself.”
Arabel stepped forward again.
From the day she found out she was pregnant, Arabel stopped fighting. Now that those shackles were removed, she could feel her blood boiling in her veins and how much she enjoyed fighting.
She wanted to test her abilities and see what she was capable of before they started the Ascension Trial. She was aware that if Idan joined her, they could easily deal with these two mid-diamond-ranked beasts.
Two huge birds appeared on the opposite side of the arena, shining with a bright light.
“The element of light?”—Idan raised an eyebrow in disbelief, looking at Arabel.
She was still in her Dark Valkyrie form. It seemed that the tower had purposefully chosen two opponents for her, possessing an element opposite to her own.
“Wonderful,” Arabel smiled instead of looking worried.
This was exactly what she had been waiting for—a challenge, not another easy fight.
Part of Arabel’s dark robe fell apart, and four dark wings appeared behind her back. She tightened her grip on her Dark Queen sword and, with a flap of her wings, soared into the air.
Scree! Scree!
The Birds of Light soared up after her, and a clash of light and darkness began over the arena.
The creatures from the tower did not act as two separate creatures, but as two well-coordinated and experienced fighters.
Their radiance of light confronted Arabel’s darkness, and for the first time she felt the pressure.
Spells of light began to rain down on her one after another, but she skillfully dodged them, and beat off some with a blow of her sword. The sword not only destroyed spells, but also absorbed them, filling one of the seven runes.
The birds kept their distance, not closing in for close combat. However, they were wrong about one thing.
Due to {Ghost Stats}, Arabel’s {Dexterity} stats were a cut above (869) and surpassed those of a Diamond-ranked creature (500-750).
——————–
Main Stats:
_Strength – 511
_Stamina – 471
_Dexterity – 543 + 326 =>869
_Intelligence – 489
_Mana – 532
_Middle Stats – 509

Arabel didn’t take any action for a while. She deftly dodged and fended off attacks, carefully studying the movements of the birds and the rhythm of their joint actions. Some spells still got into her wings, but she didn’t pay attention to it. She only needed to understand at what point one of the birds would be left without the support of the other.
Finally, such a moment has come.
“Now,” she said, and with those words she rushed forward, opening a rift in front of her, where she dived. The Birds of Light did not have time to come to their senses, as an arc of silvery light appeared in the path of one of them, emerging from the rift.
Everything happened so quickly that the bird did not have time to dodge completely, and one of its wings was split by a spatial incision. The attack was followed by Arabel, who, without slowing down, rushed after the wounded bird. Catching up with her, she struck a second blow, this time fatal, taking the bird’s life.
After the death of one of the birds, Arabel easily overpowered the remaining one, because now there was no one who could distract her.
Scree!
The bird let out a death cry before Arabel’s sword ended its life.
At this point, the eighth floor was passed.
Idan looked up at the sky and at his wife with admiration. He was very impressed by how she defeated two birds, especially how skillfully she used the element of space.
Arabel landed smoothly, without taking her eyes off her husband, enjoying his admiration.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, they were both teleported to the ninth floor.
[Welcome to the 9th floor of the Tower of Trials.]
[Defeat 2 peak Diamond-ranked beasts.]
“Go, they’re yours,” Idan said, crossing his arms over his chest, making it clear that he wasn’t going to interfere before Arabel could say anything.
“Thanks, Dan,” — Arabel smiled. “I really need it.”
She turned her gaze to where her new enemies were already beginning to appear.
Her black hair and wings turned white, and her eyes shone with azure light. The ground beneath her feet was covered with frost.
For this fight, Arabel adopted her more familiar Ice Valkyrie form.
But she didn’t stop there.
In the battle against two Diamond-ranked peak beasts, she refused to use {Ghost Stats}. Instead, she activated the unique ability of the {Exchange of Stats} system, which allowed her to strengthen her parameters by obtaining half of her husband’s characteristics. In addition, she also endowed herself with the energy of madness, which made her even more formidable.
——————–
Main Stats:
Ice Valkyrie Stats + 50% Idan stats + Energy of Madness 20% = > Total
_Strength – 511 -> 656 + 102 => 758
_Stamina – 471 -> 616 + 94 => 710
_Dexterity – 543 -> 690 + 109 => 799
_Intelligence – 489 -> 657 + 98 => 755
_Mana – 532 -> 742 + 106 => 848
_Middle Stats – 509 -> 672 + 102 => 774
——————–
Arabel couldn’t remember the last time she’d used so many powerups in one go.
In this battle, she wanted to use her Ice Spirit Form, but changed her mind when she felt restrictions similar to those in the Simulation. She could activate her Spirit Form, but only once and for a limited time.
Considering that they would pass the 9th floor anyway, and most likely, a rank 6 opponent would be waiting for them on the 10th floor, she decided to keep this ability and use her other abilities.
“Belle,” — Idan called.
As soon as she turned around, he threw something at her.
“Catch it.”
Arabel caught the thrown object and stared in surprise at the light ring covered with dark runes. She recognized him immediately.
It was Idan’s wedding ring, a Vow of Light.
“Use it,” he said.
Arabel looked up at her husband, puzzled.
Idan remembered that she had never chosen a second form for the Vow of Darkness. His wife only knew how to fight with a sword, so choosing any other weapon would require a lot of training.
But who says she necessarily needs another type of weapon?
What if I gave her a second sword?
“Two swords?” Arabel thought, guessing Idan’s plan.
At the same moment, a system notification appeared in front of her.
[Ding! A second compatible weapon has been detected.]
[The conditions for opening an additional branch of the “Moon Sword Style” have been met.]
[Section unblocked: “Twin Moonblades.”]
Arabel’s eyes widened in surprise.
When Idan took her sword, nothing like this happened. So it wasn’t about the Vows themselves. The system reacted to her “Moon Sword Style”, which had a hidden two-blade fighting technique all along.
