Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 1277: 9th Floor

Chapter 1277: 9th Floor

“Twin moonblades?”

Arabel studied the system messages in silence for a few seconds. At the other end of the arena, two creatures resembling monkeys appeared. They were about three meters tall, and remarkably, one had white fur, while the other had red.

Idan, noticing the surprise in his wife’s eyes, couldn’t help but ask:

“Is something wrong?”

Arabel looked up, not knowing how to explain it.

It wasn’t the time for discussion, so she just said:

“I’ll explain later.”

With these words, she turned to her enemies, putting her husband’s ring on her finger.

She glanced at her enemies, but her mind was preoccupied with a new section of the Moon Sword Style.

It was a sword technique that she had obtained from the System itself. Her husband, in turn, possessed the Sun Sword Style. So far, they haven’t spent much time learning these techniques.

And not because they were lazy or uninterested. They just didn’t know how to properly develop them and open hidden sections.

All this time, they used the sword and the simplest technique of their styles: they filled the blade with the power of the chosen element and inflicted the appropriate elemental incision.

In most battles, both she and her husband used the power of their bloodlines.

The discovery of this new section of the Moon Sword Style allowed her to take a fresh look at the Path of Mastery, and especially the Path of Sword.

“Not now.” Arabel shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

It’s one thing to discover a new technique, and quite another to master it and use it in real combat.

She wasn’t naive enough to try an unfamiliar fighting style in the middle of a fight.

At this time, her opponents, without taking their eyes off her and her sword, struck the ground several times.

Then, a white ice blade appeared in the hands of the white monkey, and a red fiery sword appeared in the hands of the red monkey.

“Fire and ice?” a slight smile played on Arabel’s face. Four wings flapped behind her, and she shot forward.

Seeing her approach, the monkeys smiled and, raising their blades, struck in a coordinated manner.

“Do they have sword techniques?” wondered Arabel, and dodged two elemental slashes.

The monkeys started moving at the same time. One of them appeared in front of Arabel, raising a blade covered in frost, and the other, sliding behind her back, sent a flaming sword between her wings.

This was not a random attack, but a coordinated work of two beasts, similar to how it was with the previous birds of light.

Arabel met the first attack with a Vow of Darkness and abruptly turned her wing, trying to stop the second.

The flaming blade struck her feathers, and some of the snow-white feathers were charred and melted. At the same time, the ice monkey changed the direction of the blow, forcing Arabel to retreat.

She opened a rift and slipped out of the encirclement, but her face became serious.

“They don’t just wield swords,” — Arabel realized. “They fight as a unit.”

The ice monkey charged forward again, forcing her to take the blow, while the fire monkey disappeared from sight.

Arabel felt the heat behind her back. This time, she didn’t have time to open the rift.

Her fingers curled around the light ring of their own accord.

“The Vow of Light.”

The ring flashed, instantly turning into a second sword. The unfamiliar weapon fit into her palm as naturally as if she’d been using it all her life.

One blade met the ice sword.

The second one stopped the flaming blade behind her back.

The eyes of both monkeys widened in surprise.

But Arabel herself was most impressed.

A movement from the newly opened “Moon Sword Style” section flashed into her mind. She didn’t have time to think about it or try to reproduce it. The body reacted before the mind.

The silver radiance of the space element enveloped the two blades.

The first sword arced upward, slicing through the icy blade. The second sword shot in the opposite direction, slicing through the flames.

Two spatial slashes pierced through the monkeys.

For a moment, everything froze.

Then, the ice and fire swords split at the same time, and deep wounds appeared on the beasts’ bodies.

Arabel lowered the blades and looked at her hands in disbelief. Her fingers were trembling slightly, and her muscles felt heavy.

“What was that…?” she asked herself.

She only managed to complete one move. It turned out to be rough, heavy and almost uncontrollable. Her body was completely unaware of this technique and was not ready for such a load. And yet, for a brief moment, the two swords moved as if they were parts of a single whole.

Arabel quickly realized what had happened. She did not master the new style — System only helped her reproduce one of its movements.

Bam! Bam!

The monkeys, bleeding profusely, violently beat the ground. Their eyes were red with anger.

The red monkey’s body was engulfed in flames, and the white monkey was covered in ice spikes.

The monkeys, overcome by anger, lost their former coherence, and their movements became predictable. Arabel was in no hurry to attack. She slid between flames and ice spikes, repeatedly forcing the beasts to expose themselves to each other’s blows.

Soon, new wounds appeared on their bodies, and rage finally replaced the remnants of caution.

“Now!” — taking advantage of the moment, Arabel tried to repeat those feelings, but faced a problem: she could not pour the element of space into both swords at the same time.

Quickly giving up on this idea, she concentrated her power only in the Dark Queen Sword and inflicted a spatial slash, aiming at the Fire monkey.

Noticing her attack, the Fire monkey grabbed the ice monkey and held it up in front of him, using it as a shield. However, no matter how smart the monkey was, in the heat of anger, he overlooked the peculiarity of the element of space. The spatial slash, like a knife through butter, cut the ice monkey in two, and then the Fire monkey itself, without encountering resistance.

With this blow, they overcame the ninth floor.

In the next instant, Idan and Arabel were teleported to a new, more extensive arena.
