Chapter 1284: The Third Ascension Trial III
Chapter 1284: The Third Ascension Trial III
Sierra, Geminia, and Ilveina watched in silence for a while. None of them tried to interfere in the process.
“Their bodies are gradually being destroyed by the laws,” Geminia was the first to break the silence. “If this continues, they will die.”
These words did not surprise Sierra. She had already seen it with her own eyes. Idan’s body was destroyed and repaired by the lightning, while Arabel’s body disintegrated into small ice particles.
“It’s just a miracle that they’re still alive,” Geminia added.
As they watched, two new figures appeared next to them—the elves Milica and Eulalia.
“This is…” Eulalia opened her eyes wide in surprise.
Milica’s gaze was gloomy and heavy.
She carefully studied the condition of her disciples and only then turned her gaze to the trio.
“Don’t look at us like that, we don’t understand what’s going on yet,” Sierra said, seeing her so gloomy for the first time.
Sierra understood her better than anyone.
Milica was also the Guardian of the Kingdom, namely the Guardian of Lightning, and it was thanks to her that the lightning law appeared in the Kingdom. Moreover, like herself, Miliсa should have received a ban on interference from the Kingdom itself.
At first there was only Sierra, but now there are five observers.
Time passed, the process continued, and nothing unusual happened, until suddenly everyone except Eulalia noticed the changes.
In addition to the two elements with the beginnings of the law, two more forces suddenly intervened in the process.
A purple lightning filled with rage shot out from Idan’s body. At the same time, heavy dark energy began to pour out from the crack in Arabel’s body.
Milica’s eyes trembled in shock when she recognized this lightning energy.
Next to her, the atmosphere around Sierra became dark and gloomy. Like Milica, she couldn’t help but recognize the energy of darkness emanating from Arabel.

It is unknown how much time has passed, but the number of sparks sparkling among the storm clouds has decreased significantly.
Now, in the vast expanses of clouds, brighter and more powerful sparks could be seen. Each of them was unique, and no two were the same.
They were all motivated by one desire: to “Gather everyone.”
One spark moved along the edge of the storm clouds, trying to stay as far away from the others as possible to avoid collisions.
The other spark, on the contrary, hunted and devoured every spark it met on its way.
The third spark, having absorbed several others, stopped absorbing and began to gather other sparks around itself, dragging them along with it.
The fourth fiercely attacked and suppressed everyone around it.
There were many of them, and each manifested itself in its own way.
Over time, as their number decreased, each spark began to feel like the main one. None of them wanted to be consumed. Everyone wanted to be the one who swallowed the others.
Even though they were driven by the same desire, the process of unification slowed down, and integrity was never achieved.
It was at this moment that “it” appeared in the depths of the dark thunderclouds.
It was an alien, hostile, and fierce purple lightning.
It appeared suddenly and attacked one of the sparks.
There was a bright purple flash.
And all the sparks felt it. Some of them disappeared, and before disappearing, everyone felt the fear of this spark.
That was the signal.
A predator has appeared — an enemy that hunts them.
All the sparks began to move rapidly, driven by a thirst for life that overcame their common desire for unity.
However, the purple spark was faster, fiercer, and more powerful than them.
It pursued every spark it encountered, absorbing them, and with each new collision, it became stronger and fiercer.
Meanwhile, below, under the sounds of resonance, ice crystals began to wake up one by one. They were attracted to each other, forming small ice clusters.
The “crying” that became the initial impulse kept disappearing and reappearing. With each silence, followed by a new wave, the power of resonance grew, covering the entire peak of the snow-white mountain.
Soon, “crying” ceased to be the only source of resonance. Even without it, it continued to sound, although not so loud, but it was impossible to stop it.
The moment purple lightning flashed among the dark clouds, a living dark slime appeared at the foot of the mountain. It was small, but it began to grow rapidly and take over more and more territories.
From the foot of the mountain, the darkness began to consume everything in its path, rapidly rising up.
It knew no mercy. Everything that came it way became a part of it.
Soon, the entire foot of the mountain was shrouded in darkness.
It was only a matter of time before the darkness consumed the ice crystals.
And so, pretty soon, it happened. The darkness swallowed the first ice crystal and froze.
Then the darkness seemed to come alive. As if sensing something familiar and desirable, she began to rapidly absorb everything around her.
One by one, she absorbed the ice crystals, and the more of them there were, the faster she was saturated.
It was as if the crystals were fuel for it.
And soon the entire snow-white mountain, right down to its peaks, disappeared into the darkness.
High in the sky, predatory lightning absorbed most of the sparks.
The remaining sparks huddled together and followed one of them, which sensed the predator’s presence and avoided it. It was a spark that always avoided others, but now the others followed it.
For the sparks, movement was everything, but escape was not the way out.
Trapped, the Sparks realized that they could not defeat the enemy alone.
To fight back, they must unite.
Not to become one, but to face the danger together.
Even under pain of death, every spark was unwilling to give up.
The purple lightning quickly caught up with them, and when it appeared, all the sparks sensed that their brethren who had disappeared were still inside this hostile lightning.
Suddenly, the purple lightning shuddered and flashed for the first time. What it had absorbed earlier was still struggling inside it.
The other sparks realized this.
They haven’t disappeared, they’re fighting!
Then one of the sparks, the one that avoided everyone, turned and rushed towards the purple lightning. It didn’t slow down it speed, and the purple lightning happily swallowed it up.
But when the purple lightning thought it had captured its victim, there was a bright flash, and a spark flew out behind it back.
That’s the spark.
It was a wake-up call for everyone else.
They followed it example and rushed towards the enemy together.
At the same time, their unity resonated among those inside the purple lightning.
There was a bright flash of collision.
Fierce lightning battle.
As a result, a bright powerful flash of lightning struck the top of the mountain shrouded in darkness.
