Chapter 1310: Alpha is cool
Chapter 1310: Alpha is cool
Idan found Ina on the terrace of his house. She sat caressing Lissa’s fluffy fur, and Idan couldn’t help but envy her. This charming Fox wouldn’t let him near her, and he had no way of feeling what her fur felt like.
When he approached, Ina looked up at him in surprise and blurted out:
“So fast?”
“I hurried as fast as I could for you,” Idan said, sitting down next to her.
Lissa stood up and pointedly pulled away from him. Idan could have sworn he saw a grin on the fox’s face that made his right eye twitch.
“Brother,” — Ina called out, without looking up, she continued to look at her feet, trying to find the right words.
Idan, noticing this, said:
“You mentioned that you wanted to discuss something with me. I’m all ears.”
Ina pulled herself together, looked up and said with confidence in her voice:
“I want to be like you.”
There was a pause.
The brother and sister looked at each other, and Ina was the first to look away.
“Like me? What do you mean?” interrupted Idan.
“I want to become an Alpha, like you and Ryan,” Ina said in one breath.
“Become an Alpha?” Idan raised his eyebrows in surprise.
Ina nodded, confused, and looked at him expectantly.
In her gaze, Idan saw not only expectation, but also fear. The fear that he would refuse her request.
He let out a chuckle and instead of asking questions he said:
“Why not?”
“Eh…I knew that… huh?” Ina turned her head sharply. “What… What did you just say?”
“I said, why not? I don’t mind you becoming an Alpha.”
“Really?”
“Yes,” Idan nodded.
“Yes!” exclaimed Ina, throwing up her hands and beaming.
Lissa immediately approached her and wagged her tail, sharing her glee.
“Hee-hee-hee, I told you that my brother won’t be able to refuse,” Ina said, wrapping the fiery fox in her arms.
“A moment ago, she wasn’t sure if I would agree,” Idan shook his head with a smile.
When the initial excitement subsided, Ina released Lissa and assumed a more collected look. The smile continued to play on her face. She turned an expectant gaze on her brother.
“So, tell me, why did you decide to become an Alpha?” — Yes, Idan agreed to her request, but still wanted to understand what motivated his younger sister to make such a choice.
“Well… how should I put it…” Ina shifted in her chair. “Alpha is cool.”
“You… you decided to become an Alpha just because it’s cool?” For some reason, Idan couldn’t believe it.
Seeing that her brother wasn’t convinced by her words, Ina sighed.
“I want to be like you and join you. I don’t want to wait until I grow up. Everyone around except Estelle, Noah, and Ellis are all cultivators. Even Mom has reached the Silver rank,” Ina began to tell everything that was on her mind. “It’s only a matter of time before Estelle becomes a cultivator, but Noah and Ellias are still too young. I’m the only one left.”
It dawned on Idan that behind Ina’s childish “Alpha is cool” lies the fear of being the only one outside the common world of the family.
“I want to become an Alpha, because you, Ryan, and baby Ignis have this bloodline,” Ina confessed. “Moreover, I noticed that Aunt Amanda also wants to become an Alpha.”
“So she wants to become an Alpha since she’s my little sister?” Idan let out a chuckle.
“Does your mother know about this? About your desire to become an Alpha?”
“Our,” Ina countered. “Our mother.”
Idan said nothing.
He did not correct her. He also didn’t want to argue about it now.
Ina pouted her lips.
“Mom doesn’t know. I haven’t told her yet.”
“Of course, she didn’t tell about it,” Idan had already foreseen this outcome of events.
“Well,” he slapped his knees, — “Ina, as I said before, I don’t mind. I’ll help you become an Alpha, but first you have to get your mother’s permission.”
“But…”
Ina wanted to object, but Idan didn’t give her the chance.
“No buts, Ina,” he said firmly.
Then his tone softened and he smiled.
“Ina, you’re only fourteen years old, and according to the laws of the old world, you’re still a child.”
He paused for a moment.
“As soon as you get your mother’s permission, come and I’ll help you right away,” he said.
Ina lowered her gaze thoughtfully.
Idan stood up and ruffled Ina’s black hair.
“Ahhh! What are you doing!” She waved her hands away.
“And don’t try to deceive me, little sister,” Idan added, laughing. “Because I’ll ask my mother later if she gave her consent.”
“I… I wasn’t going to,” Ina said, a little uncertainly.
She stood up and looked at Idan, then pointed with her hands.
“You gave your word, so make sure you don’t give up later.”
With that, she ran away.
Lissa grinned at Idan and followed her.
Following her with his gaze, Idan, using his power over the Kingdom, searched for where his wife was now.
“Huh? Is she not in the Kingdom?”
Then his gaze entered the family home, where he found her in the living room, sitting by the family photo frame with a little fox with a small backpack on her back.
“Coco!”
Idan had not seen this little scoundrel for a long time.
When Idan entered the living room, Coco immediately saw him and rushed towards him, happily squeaking and wagging her tail.
“I’m glad to see you too, Coco,” Idan said with a smile.
Arabel, looking up from the photographs, watched the scene with a smile.
Idan joined them, and they slowly began to select photos.
On the same day, a few hours later, all the Awakened Ones received a message from their Systems.
