Chapter 641: The result of practice.
Chapter 641: The result of practice.
In the middle of the snowy ring of the seasons, Arabel closed her eyes and assumed a fighting stance, as if preparing for a blow. She was holding her Blue Veil sword in her hands, which, like Idan’s sword, was covered with many cracks.
She transformed her uniform into comfortable clothes for practice, which did not restrict movement.
Her studies were watched from afar by many beasts, led by three foxes and one wolf.
Coco sat comfortably on the head of the Space Snow Fox, and Octo, in turn, sat on the head of the Snow Wolf.
All the beasts held their breath, and the three creatures that had a connection to the element of space felt the energy that only they could see begin to flow along the blade of Arabel’s sword.
Arabel then struck out with lightning speed, and a slash appeared in front of her, dividing the space into two parts.
When Arabel opened her eyes, she was pleased to see that she had managed to create this incision. It wasn’t very big, only two or three meters long, but it was enough.
[Ding! The "Spatial slice – level 1" has been mastered," the System reported.
Upon hearing this notification, Arabel sank to the ground with relief.
"Finally!" she rejoiced, smiling and trying to catch her breath.
When Arabel opened the "Paths of Magic" window, she noticed that in the "Mastered abilities" section, a second "mastered" ability appeared for the element of space.
--------------------------
Mastered abilities:
[Spatial slice - Level 1]
[Spatial perception - Level 1]
--------------------------
Who would have thought it would be so difficult, Arabel thought. She had already lost count of how many times she had tried to master it, even with the help from the System itself, which could be used to compare and gain experience.
"It wasn’t as difficult with water as it was with space," Arabel recalled, looking again at the "Mastered abilities" section for the element of water.
--------------------------
Mastered abilities:
[Water Creation - Level 1]
[Spear – Level 1] [Hammer – Level 1] [Spikes – Level 1] [Shield – Level 1] [Pillar – Level 1] [Wall – Level 1] [Armor – Level 1] [Chain – Level 1] [Sword – Level 1] [Prison – Level 1][Ball – Level 1]
--------------------------
Although Arabel had only mastered [Water Creation – Level 1], she had to create all these spells. Due to her experience in using similar spells of ice and darkness, she was able to do it after several attempts.
This gave her the false confidence that everything would be easy with the help of the system. However, when she moved on to the element of space, she was faced with a collision with reality.
"Now I understand how different it is to have a bloodline from not having one," Arabel whispered, drawing conclusions from her own experience.
She had no bloodlines related to the elements of water and space. However, she gained an understanding of the water element of the third rank from Esma, which helped her to master it faster. As for space, she had nothing but a little understanding that she had acquired from Octo.
"Up to the second level, I will be able to master all the abilities of the water element relatively quickly, but the third level without a bloodline, like the element of space, will be a real trial," Arabel mused, already beginning to understand how to increase the level of her abilities.
After regaining her breathing, Arabel realized that her mana was running out. All of her abilities, including the "System Abilities" that she used to sense the flow of mana in her body and understand all the stages of application, so that she could repeat them on her own, were draining her reserves.
Although her mana was recovering quite quickly in this place, the continuous practice and attempts to master new abilities noticeably tired Arabel.
"I guess that’s enough practice for today," she thought, satisfied with the result she had achieved.
Lifting her head, Arabel noticed that the sky was dotted with stars. Since the balance of Light and Darkness was restored, the time of day inside the Kingdom has been synchronized with what is happening outside the barrier.
"It’s getting pretty late," she whispered.
Then, her attention was attracted by the beasts that witnessed her practice. Coco and Octo, tearing through space, appeared in front of her and, without hesitation, fell into her arms.
"Haha!" — Arabel was happily hugging two fluffy warm lumps.
She couldn’t resist these two adorable creatures.
No sooner had the two adult beasts approached Arabel than they noticed the sudden appearance of a charming woman in black.
"Are you done?" asked Sierra, instantly moving next to Arabel, using her new power gained as a Guardian.
"You’ve been watching me all this time, so you should know the answer yourself," Arabel said with a smile. As one of the owners of this place, she couldn’t help but notice that Sierra was watching her using her new "Heavenly Eye" ability.
In response, Sierra just smiled.
"I wanted to let you know that the Reset in Limbo is about to come, and I’m leaving soon," she said.
"Okay, and thank you again, big sister," Arabel replied gratefully.
"I’m not only doing this for you, but for him too," Sierra replied.
"I think Dan would glad to hear that from you," Arabelle said without a trace of jealousy.
"Little Sister, I’ve already saturated my second Beast Soul and I want to form my Third Beast Soul soon," Sierra continued.
Arabel took the hint and held out her hands, on which two "Small High-quality Soul Crystals" appeared.
"Here you go, big sister," she said with a smile.
Sierra happily accepted the two Soul Crystals that would serve as the basis for forming her Third Beast Soul and saturating it.
"After I help Idan get to the Lava Lake, I plan to go to the Lake of the Dead to inspect it and find a suitable beast for the third contract," Sierra announced.
Arabel exclaimed happily, nodding in response. Then, remembering something, she added, "Big Sister, if you succeed, please try to catch some silver and gold ranked beasts and send them here. Let those who have just begun to cultivate along the Path of the Beast Tamer try to form a contract with them."
"Okay." Sierra saw no difficulty in catching weak beasts.
Considering that the level of this world was low, the silver and gold beasts from Limbo were quite enough.
