Chapter 654: Dark Dragon, the Capital.

**Identification:**

Name: Umbracks

Race: The Dark Dragon (Platinum Rank)

Age: ???

Random information: A Dark Dragon who is in love with his ruler.

———————————-

“Indeed, a Platinum-ranked Dark Dragon,” Arabel said after reading the information about him.

Arabel had a lot of questions about this Dark Dragon, but seeing how it continued to destroy the capital, she decided to act. After transforming into a Dark Valkyrie, Arabel used [Concealment Level 3] and spread her four wings, rushing towards the Dragon.

After Arabel left, Sofia came running out of the diner a little late. She hadn’t noticed Arabel was here, but she had seen a mythical dragon wreaking havoc towards the center of the capital.

And her heart stopped in fear at the very sight of this Dark Dragon and the destruction that was happening around her.

As Arabel noticed, flying into the epicenter of the destruction, the Dragon appeared right in the center of the city, on one of the busy streets, where there were many shopping malls and shops. Although it was still evening, the area was full of people, and in a short time, the Dragon had already caused a lot of destruction and death.

The dragon with a creepy grin destroyed buildings and purposefully attacked the terrified residents of the city. It was obvious that he was enjoying this process of destruction.

Buildings collapsed like toy houses under the onslaught of the Platinum-ranked creature. Many Awakened Ones who were in the event zone did not dare to confront the Dragon out of fear, which gave him complete freedom of action.

Arabel quickly got to him and, after assessing the situation, decided to act on her own, without waiting for someone else to come and solve the problem. She knew that there were other beings, such as Beings of Light, who could stand up to the Dragon, but seeing how much destruction it caused and how many lives it took from mere mortals, she couldn’t wait.

The [Ghost Stats] immediately took effect, which doubled Arabel’s {Dexterity} stats.

She pulled out her {Blue Veil} sword and, gripping it tightly, filled it with the element of space. Then, with the help of the System, she activated the ability [Walking through the Void – Level 1].

Arabel rushed forward swiftly before the rift opened completely, and crashed into space, tearing through it. Her vision blurred for a moment, but then she was right on the right side of the dragon’s head, tearing apart the space on the other side.

This unusual sensation made her feel a little seasick, but she, already ready for battle, struck with her sword with such speed that the dragon did not have time to react.

The range of [Spatial slice – Level 1] was small, but this ability had one important advantage: the strike cut through space itself, ignoring any defense.

Knowing this, Arabel deliberately chose this particular attack to kill the dragon for sure.

Arabel couldn’t leave alive a dragon that had caused so much destruction and death. There was no pity in her eyes as she struck.

With one swipe, the space was sliced open, along with the dragon’s head, which still had a creepy smile on it.

It was only when his head began to separate from his body after the impact that the expression on his face first changed to bewilderment, and then to fear when he saw his huge headless carcass.

It was the last thing he saw before the darkness swallowed him up.

The mythical dragon, which the inhabitants of the Earth knew only from movies and books, fell from just one sword strike. His huge body crashed down on the destroyed houses, raising clouds of dust.

The surviving people tried to escape by running away from the aftermath of the battle.

Only a few people noticed that the dragon that wreaked havoc had fallen.

These mortals, along with the Awakened Ones, saw Arabel in the sky in her form of a Dark Valkyrie with four massive black wings above the defeated body of a dragon. Her [Level 3 Concealment] ability stopped working after she dealt a blow that took the dragon’s life.

Arabel sighed, putting away her sword after confirming that the Dark Dragon was indeed dead.

“It’s time to leave.”

Noticing that more and more people were paying attention to her, she reactivated [Concealment Level 3] and was about to leave when a system notification appeared in front of her eyes.:

[Host. Run, it’s a trap.]

The System only had time to warn Arabel, as she felt the already familiar wave of power.

“Black Stone!” she exclaimed in her mind, feeling her unique ability [Ghost Stats] lose its effectiveness, and her {Dexterity} stat return to its normal level.

In addition, the {Ghost Mask} had stopped working, and before it fell, Arabel managed to catch and store it in her spatial ring.

The effect of the black stone deprived Arabel not only of her connection to the System, but also of all her connections, including contracted creatures, the Kingdom, and System abilities.

Since she had not yet “mastered” [Walking through the Void – Level 1] without the help of the System, Arabel could not use it.

But unlike in previous cases, Arabel did not transform back into a human, remaining in her Dark Valkyrie form.

Realizing that she had fallen into a trap, Arabel tried to run as fast as possible, but she was stopped by more than a dozen Soul Forces of beings of Platinum rank and above, who attacked her at the same time.

This combined pressure caused Arabel to collapse onto the rubble of buildings.

“Ah…” Arabel moaned, feeling the pain of falling.

Overcoming the pressure of the multitude of Soul Forces, she rose, brushing off debris and dust. Her four dark wings trembled, but she continued to resist this onslaught.

Lifting her head, she saw more than ten unknown figures surrounding her in front of her. Even without the Eye of Identification, she could tell that all these creatures were outsiders from other worlds.

There were both people with blonde hair and dark hair, as well as several with red, green, and blue hair.

Arabel laughed, feeling no fear, even though she was aware that she had fallen into a trap.

“This dragon did not appear here by chance,” Arabel concluded.

“There aren’t many creatures in the world that can stand up to a Platinum-ranked creature,” she whispered to herself. “And if we exclude from the equation those who came from another world, then only Dan and I can handle this task. So it was a trap meant for the two of us.”

The outsiders were divided into two groups. One group began to retreat, while the other, consisting of beings of Light and Darkness, moved towards Arabel.

Under the influence of the Soul Forces, Arabel watched without fear as the barrier she already knew began to be erected around her and those outsiders who were heading in her direction. The same barrier that Erza had erected at the time, sealing the space without giving her a chance to escape.

When the barrier was fully erected, some of the soul power that had been restraining Arabel subsided, and she finally gained freedom of movement. Now she could resist.

She looked at all the creatures of Darkness and Light that remained with her inside the barrier.

Suddenly, dark figures dressed in black cloaks and masks began to appear from under the rubble of buildings, like shadows.

“And who is this?” asked Arabel, finally feeling uneasy.

Meanwhile, from afar, from the roof of the building, Arabel, surrounded by ten platinum-ranked creatures and many dark figures, was watched by a black figure with a wide smile on his face.

“I finally got you, Arabel Morgan,” the figure said in a monotone, and it was hard to tell if she was feeling joy or sadness.

I would like to express my gratitude to those who give gifts, power stones and golden tickets. Your support allows me to stay motivated and continue working on the book.
