Chapter 656: Formless Doppelganger

Chapter 656: Formless Doppelganger

Phew… Phew…

Idan, sitting in the center of the cave, slowly inhaled and exhaled, trying to regain his breath. His body was aching with pain, covered in sweat, and the energy of madness was flowing out of his body like steam.

His hair turned a pinkish purple hue, as did his shining eyes. A relaxed and contented smile appeared on his face, although his consciousness was not completely stable due to the overload of the effects of the Energy of Madness.

“Did he succeed?” asked Geminia, slightly worried.

“Yes, he did,” Idan replied, looking up.

Idan’s consciousness was instantly transferred to his Soul Space, where his gaze went to the First Star. She shone with renewed vigor, eclipsing even the second Star with her light.

If the First Star of Idan used to have a red hue, now, thanks to the abundance of Energy of Madness, it glowed with a pinkish-purple glow. However, it wasn’t this that caught his attention, but the creature trapped inside the First Star.

“Ned has finally been reborn,” Idan said with excitement in his voice.

Through their connection, which was also restored, he felt some confusion of his partner, who was in a semi-conscious state. But even so, Idan clearly understood that this was not some new being, but his old friend.

After leaving the Soul space, Idan, still overcome with excitement and not fully recovered, decided to summon Ned.

When he activated his summoning, a small rift opened in front of him, from which appeared not a dark fox, but his exact copy with pinkish-purple hair and the same eyes.

Idan didn’t pay much attention to this, smiling at the completely healthy Ned, who stared at Idan in confusion, not quite realizing what was going on.

Geminia also couldn’t contain her excitement as she watched Ned, her first descendant, completely separate from her.

Yes, Geminia no longer felt the connection she had always felt with her descendants. Ned was now perceived by her as a completely independent being.

This meant that Ned had become the first true representative of her own race.

All the others were just a part of it, but with one big drawback.

Being a part of her, if she, Geminia, dies, then all the descendants associated with her will die.

However, now everything has changed.

If she died, Ned, who was no longer connected to her like the others, would not die.

Idan was very happy to see his partner again.

Having already gotten used to using the {Eye of Identification} frequently, he used it to search for information about Ned.

———————————-

**Identification:**

Name: Ned

Race: Formless Doppelganger (Rank – The same as the Host.)

Age: ???

Random information: A unique being who, in the process of evolution, became a new race, incorporating the best features of the Doppelganger and Formless races.

———————————-

“A Formless Doppelganger?” Idan read the name of Ned’s race provided by the System. As in the description of the random information, the name of Ned’s race now combined the names of both races.

This made Idan think about how Ned had changed, what new abilities he possessed, and what he had lost in the process of his evolution into a new race.

Geminia couldn’t help but ask the same questions, too. She couldn’t wait to find out all the changes that had happened to Ned.

Ned, for his part, was just beginning to come to his senses and realize what had happened.

He looked at his hands, then at Idan, his master, and also at his ancestor. For the first time in his life, Ned felt violent and chaotic feelings that were unfamiliar to him. These feelings confused him, and he did not understand what was happening to him.

“Ned,” Idan called, trying to get his partner’s attention.

But before he could say anything else, a notification from the System appeared in front of him, and his joyful mood changed to alarm in the blink of an eye.

[Ding! Host, your partner has fallen into a trap set by outsiders.]

[Ding! You have been given a task: “Come to the aid of your partner and eliminate all the outsiders who ambushed you.”]

“System, teleport,” — Idan immediately gave the command.

[The teleportation preparation process has begun. The countdown is 10 minutes.]

“Damn, System, I don’t have time to wait! Use the System Points and teleport me right now!” exclaimed Idan, not wanting to waste precious time waiting for 10 minutes.

“I’m sorry, Geminia, but I have to get back. Belle is in danger,” he said, immediately summoning Ned back to his Star.

Geminia, extremely surprised, noticed Idan’s serious look and nodded.

“Okay, be careful and good luck,” she said, before Idan was swallowed up by a rift and teleported back to Earth.

Idan emerged from a rift on Earth, finding himself far to the east, near the sea, where he had already reached earlier.

“Woo-woo-woo,” his appearance was immediately noticed by one of the Spatial Snow Foxes, whom he asked to stay here. She instantly appeared in front of Idan and began to seek his attention, unafraid of the abundance of energy of madness hovering around him.

However, Idan was in a hurry and couldn’t give her enough time and give her what she wanted.

“Snow, I’m in a hurry. The Mistress is in danger. As soon as I solve this problem, I will definitely come back and treat you to something,” Idan said and, opening the Access Portal, returned to the Kingdom.

The fox froze in place, watching Idan leave, slightly disappointed. But, remembering his words and the way he called her, she wagged her tail in joy.

Suddenly, she got a name for herself.

Upon entering the Kingdom, Idan, wielding power, began searching for Arslan and his older sister, but could not find them.

Teleporting to the Access Portal leading to the Capital, he used it and found himself inside the branch building of their Guild. There he found Arslan, Irene, and almost all the Guild leaders gathered in one place.

“Idan!” they exclaimed, noticing his appearance.

Seeing him in his new form, wrapped in a thick energy of madness, everyone swallowed hard. And only Irene remained calm and full of confidence in her brother.

“What happened?” he asked.

“We don’t know for sure, but it seems Arabel is in danger,” Irene said.

“Turn on the video again,” she asked, and a video taken by eyewitnesses appeared in front of Idan.

The recording showed a Dark Dragon wreaking havoc in the Capital, some distance away from the building where they were.

And then he saw her, Arabel, who appeared and cut off the Dragon’s head. But before she could leave, she fell to the ground, and a barrier began to be erected around that place, which completely hid what was happening inside.

“Stay here and don’t go there in any case,” Idan warned seriously.

His gaze, filled with the Energy of Madness, scared everyone.

Idan watched their reactions carefully and continued:

“There are outsiders involved, and you can’t do anything against them at this time.”

“But…” Irene started to object, but Idan interrupted her.:

“There are no buts. You’ll only get in the way there.”

After saying everything he wanted to say, Idan hurried to the scene.

However, he had barely left the building when he was stunned by a System notification that sounded to him like a bolt from the blue.

[Ding! The Supreme Wife System is deactivated.]
