Chapter 680: Weight loss potions?
Chapter 680: Weight loss potions?
As she left the Tailor’s room, Irene began to understand who these people were who had come to her brother and Arabel’s wedding.
“Tailor, Merchant, Blacksmith, Tamer, Builder…” she whispered to herself.
“All of them, like us, are Hosts of Systems, but from other, more advanced worlds,” she continued to reflect. “Their Systems are undoubtedly more advanced and powerful than ours.”
“Is the System of Idan and Arabel as powerful as the Systems of these people?” wondered Irene.
“So it’s because of this connection that Idan and Arabel can get all these amazing things?”
“Without a doubt, this red-haired woman, the real Beast Tamer, is the source of Manual on the Path of the Beast Tamer.” Irene had no doubt about it, watching how easily she commanded a multitude of beasts.
“I wonder if this Tailor sewed their unique uniforms?”
“What about the bloodlines? Is there anyone among these people who is responsible for this?” Irene continued to ponder, stopping at the ajar door of one of the rooms, from where the sounds of a hammer hitting an anvil could be heard.
“The Blacksmith and his young wife must be here,” Irene guessed, peering inside. She saw a muscular man who was engaged in forging, and his wife was sitting next to him and watching his work.
The previously empty room was quickly transformed into a real forge, and even a strange forge that radiated heat was installed inside.
“Who made the order from this master?” Irene asked, continuing on her way.
Then she stopped at the next door, where she found two girls, Ina and Laura, Leo’s sister, peeking inside.
“What are you doing here?” asked Irene, startling them with her sudden appearance.
“Kyaya!” both girls jumped up, but when they saw who was in front of them, they calmed down.
“It’s you, big sister Irene,” Ina sighed, holding her chest.
“I said, what are you doing here and who are you spying on?”
“Well, the thing is…” Ina hesitated a little and looked at Laura, who was also slightly embarrassed.
Irene looked at both girls carefully, then turned her gaze to the room and remembered who was there.
“As I remember, that woman and her daughter stayed in this room.”
“I wonder what kind of System she has?” Wondering, without waiting for the girls to answer, Irene pushed open the door and went inside. And immediately, the pungent smell of various herbs hit the nose.
“What the?” she quickly covered her nose and looked around.
Like the Blacksmith’s room, this previously empty room was quickly turned into a small laboratory.
“Alchemy?” A thought flashed through Irene’s mind when she noticed a cauldron in which something was boiling.
“Oh, what guests,” the Alchemist said with a smile, leaving her daughter to continue brewing the potion, and approached Irene and the two girls who were hiding behind her back.
“What interested you in my offer?” she asked.
“An offer?” repeated Irene, not understanding.
“Oh, so you haven’t heard?” The Alchemist was surprised. “I am an Alchemist, and I offer to exchange potions and pills of my own making.”
“I have recovery potions, healing potions, temporary enhancement potions, beauty pills, longevity pills, and more,” she continued. “And all my creations are of the third rank.”
“You can also describe what kind of potion and with what effect you need, and I will be happy to make it,” Alchemist confidently stated.
“However, it’s worth considering that I can’t make potions above the third rank,” she added with a slight smile. “You understand that, right?”
“The limitation of the world,” Irene nodded, realizing the point.
“Exactly,” the Alchemist confirmed with a smile.
“In honor of this significant day, I suggest that you use barter as payment. You can offer me something in exchange for my potions, and if that thing suits me, the deal will be completed.”
“Hmm,” Irene fell into thought. The offer was very attractive.
“Recovery and healing potions are not something that can be obtained for nothing, especially when it comes to potions of the third rank. They can be very useful in the future,” she mused, deciding to purchase several such potions if possible.
Then Irene, remembering the two girls, turned to them and asked:
“Do you want to exchange something too?”
Hearing Irene’s question, the girls hesitated at first, but then nodded in agreement, confirming her guess.
“And what do you want?” Irene asked.
Ina nudged Laura to speak up.
“Um…I…I wanted to ask… are there any weight loss potions here?” Laura stammered a little.
“Weight loss potions?” Irene repeated, raising her eyebrows in surprise.
But then her eyes widened when she realized who Laura was looking for these funds for.
“How could I forget about that?” she exclaimed to herself.
“Is this for Leo?” she asked bluntly, and Laura, realizing that there was nothing more to hide, nodded.
Laura wanted to help her insecure brother lose weight.
“It’s strange that Leo didn’t think of it himself,” Irene said. “Idan and Arabel have already asked everyone to express their wishes and made it clear that they are ready to help if it is in their power.”
“But Leo hasn’t said anything specific yet and has asked for some more time.”
Irene, slightly lost in thought, raised her gaze and looked at the Alchemist.
“Do you have any weight loss potions?” she asked.
The alchemist shook her head and replied, “No, I don’t have such a potion.”
Hearing this, Laura lowered her head, and Ina tried to cheer her up. Irene, on the other hand, was not surprised and waited for the Alchemist’s next words.
“But I can create a potion that has this effect,” the Alchemist said the words Irene had been waiting to hear.
“Really?” exclaimed Laura, full of hope.
“Of course,” the Alchemist smiled at her. “The only question is, what are you willing to offer me for making it?”
Laura froze.
She had only come here to find out if such a potion existed, and only then was she planning to think about the payment issue.
“What do you think of these things?” said Irene, taking out of her magic bag the items she had collected during her two and a half years as an Awakened One.
Irene wanted to get this potion herself to help Leo, who, if successful, could become one of the groom’s several friends.
