Chapter 814: I knew you were here, but I hadn't seen you before
"What? Really?" whispered Iona incredulously when her own System informed her that she had gained an affinity with the element of Light.
[Yes, the Host. It's true.]
Iona's eyes shone with joy. After discovering her "status" of the System, she was surprised to find that next to the element of ice that she had from the very beginning, a new one appeared — the element of Light.
"The Element of Light!" — Iona exclaimed with joy in her mind, having learned about her second element. Elated, she hurried towards the restaurant.
Iona herself arrived early in the morning at the place Arabel had indicated and, with her help, entered the Kingdom to witness the so-called phenomenon for the second time.
During her first visit, Iona, like many others invited, was in a specially designated place, but this time she was given more freedom to explore this place called the Kingdom.
Although Iona did not understand what benefits a simple observation of this phenomenon could bring her, her own System strongly urged her not to miss such a chance. Therefore, when Arabel invited her to come and observe another phenomenon yesterday, she did not refuse and accepted the invitation.
Now she knew exactly what Arabel needed those 50 Diamond-grade Light Element Crystals that she had exchanged with Irina.
When she entered the restaurant, she looked hopefully for two familiar figures, but when she didn't see either of them, she was slightly upset.
In the morning, when she came to the kingdom, Arabel took her to a restaurant where they enjoyed a great meal that Iona had never tasted before. She ate with pleasure, feeling every bite of the magnificent dish.
Unfortunately for her, due to the limited number of seats in the restaurant, she had to leave when other guests came to enjoy a delicious meal. As a result, Iona was unable to see Idan, who came later, closer to the appointed time.
Now, after that amazing phenomenon, Iona hoped to finally see him with her own eyes and thank him for saving her.
But it seemed that even now she was not destined to meet him.
"Oh, it's you!" someone exclaimed, and Iona, turning to the voice, saw Nico's familiar face.
"I knew you were here, but I hadn't seen you before," Nico said happily, and then called out to her, "Come join us."
Iona looked at Nico and five other young men, whom she also recognized. Seeing nothing wrong with that, she didn't refuse and decided to join them at their table.
"Waitress, over here," Nico called one of Sofia's waitresses, who had already started working at her new place.
When she arrived, Iona couldn't resist the temptation and ordered food, despite the fact that she usually ate little, following her old habit of maintaining a slender figure, which she had before she became Awakened.
"Have you joined the Kingdom too?" one of the girls asked Iona.
"Well, sort of," — Iona replied evasively. She was already a subordinate of the leaders of this Guild, so in a sense, she was already part of the Kingdom.
While waiting for her order, Iona listened to the conversation of Nico's group, from time to time glancing towards the kitchen and the hall, hoping to see a couple.
As she sat there, she caught a glimpse of Nico and the others discussing how they had benefited from the recent phenomenon.
"The seed of the elements?" she asked, curious about what she had heard.
"Well, unlike you, we are all Hosts of Ordinary Systems," Nico admitted with a smile. "And as Hosts of Ordinary Systems, we can't master magic."
Iona remembered the difference between the Hosts of an Ordinary System and a Rare System and nodded.
"Thanks to these two phenomena, two of us acquired the so—called seed of the Element of Darkness, and this time I received the seed of the element of Light," Nico continued with a smile. "And as we know, if we can increase the rarity of our Systems, we can use this seed to gain an affinity for the appropriate elements."
"Oh, even like that?"
"Uh—huh," nodded Nico and his two companions, who also had similar seeds. The other three looked at them with mild envy.
"Your order," the waitress brought, giving Iona a smile and wishing him a pleasant appetite, after which she left.
Iona had just started eating when there was a commotion in the restaurant.
"What's going on?" — Nico and his friends looked up. Soon they heard the conversations of the visitors and saw them taking out their smartphones, and they realized that another battle had begun in the Simulation.
"Oh, another fight in the Simularium!" exclaimed Nico and his group admiringly, taking out their smartphones and opening the Simularium page.
Iona, who had already seen the fight of the Hero Ren in the morning, was also intrigued, pulled out her smartphone and joined the viewing along with everyone. However, when she saw who was fighting whom, she was shocked, as were many other onlookers. Then the restaurant seemed to explode with excitement.
No one expected such a turn of events, especially considering that their fight will be broadcast online for everyone.
In the end, both Guild Leaders entered the arena at once in a two-on-two battle.
"Who knows these two who dared to go against the Guild Leaders?" someone raised a question, drawing everyone's attention to Nemo and Lina.
An awkward silence hung in the air.
Nemo, Iona, and the others also exchanged glances, but none of them were familiar with these two.
There were those in the restaurant who saw the two but didn't know who they were.
"Ah, look at the guild leader, he's so handsome," Iona heard the whispers of the female half of the restaurant's guests and couldn't help but agree with their remark, finding Idan really attractive.
Meanwhile, the male half couldn't take their eyes off Arabel and Lina, who was as beautiful as Arabel.
As for Nemo, because of his mask, the girls couldn't see his face. However, considering that all Awakened Ones only become more beautiful as they rank up, everyone was sure that he couldn't be anything but handsome.
Iona, holding her breath, forgot about her food along with everyone else and completely concentrated on the screen of her smartphone, waiting for the start of the fight.
