Chapter 822: Snow and Whitey
Chapter 822: Snow and Whitey
After Iona left, Arabel, after making sure that everyone who wanted to join the Kingdom had already done so, unlinked the Permanent Access Portal from the guild branch in the capital. Then, using the portal created by the two Snow Spatial Foxes, she moved to the city of Nordist.
Almost a week given to the girls from the Red Fox Guild, led by Yara, was enough for them to purchase a rather impressive building for the new branch of the Kingdom Guild.
After switching sides in Nordist, Arabel established a new Permanent Access Portal that will allow Guild members and residents of the Kingdom to easily enter and exit the Kingdom.
"Come here, Snow," Idan called, addressing one of the Snow Spatial Foxes. He gently stroked her fur and scratched behind her ear.
"I hope you weren't bored in the east while you were waiting for me?" he asked.
"Woo-woo-woo," the fox replied, shaking her head as if to confirm that she wasn't pining.
"Woo-woo-woo," the other Snow Spatial Fox whined plaintively, as if it was jealous of the first one and, upon hearing Idan call it, felt left out.
"Ha ha ha, you come here too," β Idan called to pet and scratch the second fox.
"What about Whitey? Do you like, like that name?" he asked, and Whitey pricked up her ears and stared at Idan. Then she nodded, indicating that she liked the new name.
"Then your name will be Whitey from now on," Idan said solemnly, and the fox, expressing her gratitude, began licking his face.
"Snow and Whitey, right? I like it," Arabel smiled, watching Idan play with two foxes without feeling a shadow of jealousy.
"Woo-woo-woo," the little fox's plaintive whine suddenly rang out, and both adult foxes immediately pricked up their ears, their heads drooped down.
A gray ball of fur popped out of the spatial slit, and Arabel deftly caught it. The fox cub carried her small backpack on her back and looked at the two adult foxes with a jealous look.
"Coco," β Arabel said happily, hugging the warm and very pleasant-to-touch bundle. "Are you really jealous? How about I scratch you?"
Coco raised her head and nodded her agreement. Arabel couldn't help but gently squeeze the little scoundrel, enjoying herself and relaxing. Idan continued to scratch the two big foxes, who really liked Idan's actions and enjoyed this moment.
After playing with the foxes for a while, Idan and Arabel returned to the others, who had already finished collecting information.
Almost all the key members of the Kingdom Guild and their allies from Limbo were gathered in the living room of their private home. All that was missing was Sierra and the Princess and Geminia, who returned to Limbo due to time constraints in the Kingdom.
"Well, let's start the meeting," Idan said, calling everyone's attention and looking around the room.
Among the Red Fox Guild members who joined the Kingdom was Felicia herself, who had returned from the Capital where she had finished all her business. Yara was with her, who also successfully completed the tasks of arranging and preparing for the Guild's relocation to the new city of Nordist in the northeast of the Federation.
On the side of the Queens Guild, Irene and Nayla were present, and Arslan was sitting next to them.
Yulaya and Hazel came from the Flower Garden, and next to them, as always, was their older sister Esma.
Idan was pleasantly surprised that the Hero Ren, the leader of the Dojo Guild, who, as far as he knew, had not joined their Guild yet, also joined the meeting.
Leo was present on the Kingdom's side, and this time he wasn't hiding in the void, but timidly sat next to Hailey, who also represented the Kingdom.
On Limbo's side were Milica, Eulalia, Nemo, Lina, Milena, Lucinda, Aliya and Alois, as well as his disciple Liam.
"We have moved the Permanent Access Portal from the capital to the city of Nordist, and now we can begin to fully move there and begin preparations for the Third Disaster," Idan announced, and Milena frowned.
"Little sister, I'm sure you're good at hiding, because you have an affinity with the element of Darkness and have been following big sister lately. If you want to return to the Capital, you can just leave the barrier and enter through it," Arabel told Milena, watching her reaction.
"Okay," β Milena nodded, realizing that she could easily return to the capital without using the portal.
As Arabel had said, Milena was good at hiding and could easily leave the barrier, avoiding the attention of the military surrounding it, who were still watching it closely.
"Before we discuss Disaster preparations, what do we know about the impact of the Lucinda phenomenon on the people of the Kingdom?" asked Arabel, glancing at Lucinda. She continued to smile, rejoicing at her success in taking on the Form of a Spirit, and also waited impatiently for an answer, wanting to know how her phenomenon affected others.
"This time, the impact was not as strong as in the case of the Sierra phenomenon," Irene announced, and Lucinda's smile faded slightly.
"How is this possible? How can my phenomenon be inferior to that of the Dark Witch?" She thought, but didn't voice her thoughts out loud.
"This time, far fewer people were able to gain an affinity with the element of Light," Irene continued.
"This is probably due to the peculiarities of the element of Light," Irene suggested.
"It's not that surprising," Milica said. "Even in Junonia, Light is not as widespread as other elements."
Milica's words made everyone think. There really aren't many pure and righteous people in the world.
"By the way, Idan," Irene said to her brother. "How should I put it⦠This time, your mother, Inessa, has awakened an affinity with the element of Light."
"Oh!" everyone was surprised.
"If I'm not mistaken, did his foster mother, that is, his aunt, awaken the element of Darkness last time?" Lucinda raised an eyebrow. "And as far as I know, Ivette and Inessa are sisters, right?"
"Yes, last time, my mother Ivette awakened an affinity with the element of Darkness. She is also the younger sister of Inessa, Idan's mother," Irene confirmed.
"Light and Dark, huh? And these are two siblings..." Lucinda said with a smile, finding this unusual and amazing combination. "Although Light and Darkness are two sides of the same coin, so there's no denying their connection."
After a short silence, Lucinda turned her gaze to Idan.
"Idan, I have a suggestion that I want to make to your mother."
Then she looked at Arabel and Irene and added:
"I'm sure the Dark Witch has also made a similar offer to the mothers of Arabel and Irene."
Lucinda's words made the four people frown, and they wondered,
"What is this sentence?"
