Chapter 946: In person
Chapter 946: In person
In Rowan City, Lina moved swiftly along the fire barrier like lightning, leaving behind purple sparks and the corpses of the beasts that dared to enter its boundaries.
Her sword knew no mercy, and every beast that crossed her path met its death, staining the border of the barrier with its blood.
After killing another beast, Lina felt faint tremors and stopped to wipe the sweat from her forehead.
"It's so stuffy."
Despite her rank, she didn't like the heat.
"Hmm... an earthquake?" — Lina noticed small tremors and shaking of buildings.
Only then did she remember Arabel's words about the predominance of the elements of fire and earth in the Southern Anomaly.
Looking up, Lina saw Idan, who was completely focused on absorbing the fire element in his Flame Spirit Form.
No matter how many times Lina looked at him, she couldn't help but admire his Spirit Form.
"I wish I could see Arabel's Spirit Form as well," she thought, confident that through her connection with them, she and Nemo would also be able to find their own Spirit Forms in the future.
For a while, she admired the Shape of Idan's Spirit and even allowed herself to dream about what her own would look like. Then, pulling out the {Whisper Talisman}, she decided to report to Arabel about the situation in the city and what her husband was doing.
Idan did not forget about his main purpose for coming to this place, and carefully followed the evacuation process.
Using his power over the element of fire, he tried to reduce the heat emanating from the barrier as much as possible under the influence of the Anomaly and his own actions, so as not to accidentally harm ordinary residents.
In his Flame Spirit Form, his body absorbed the necessary amount of fire energy from the Anomaly by itself, which accelerated the process of restoring his own Soul and Soul Space.
To speed up this process, he began absorbing the energies of the "Small High-quality Soul Crystal" one by one.
His Soul and Soul Space not only began to recover quickly, but also strengthened, becoming stronger.
His First Constellation, which revolved inside his Soul Space, was not left out, having been affected by the recovery effect.
The synergy between the three Stars and the creatures trapped within them began to actively move, evenly distributing the energy of recovery.
The cracks on all three Stars began to close, and the lost brightness gradually returned, filling them with power.
Ned, Pulsar, and Baby Dragon's process of repairing their damaged souls accelerated as the Stars recovered.
While recovering, Idan lost track of time.
"Idan..."
"Idan!"
Suddenly, someone called out to him, bringing him back to reality.
Opening his eyes, he saw in front of him a short beauty with light brown hair and four massive wings made of sand.
"Hazel?" wondered Idan, recognizing her after waking up.
"In person," Hazel confirmed, proudly puffing out her chest and keeping her hands on her belt.
Noticing Idan's still puzzled look, she added:
"Big sister sent me to help you just in case."
Then she looked down at the ground.
"And as it turned out, her intuition was right."
Idan, not quite understanding her words, also looked down and, to his horror, saw that the ground beneath them was erupting with lava. His heart began to beat faster.
"What? How?" he exclaimed. "And the residents?"
"Don't worry, we've successfully evacuated them," Hazel assured him. "We just finished. Lina immediately returned to Gravel to speed up the evacuation process there. And after giving you a little more time, I decided to wake you up anyway."
Idan looked down in silence.
His barrier was still in place, but the city he had seen before no longer existed. The ground was completely destroyed, and lava was spewing out of the huge crevices.
"Belle must have sent Hazel to help, considering that her sand element is a type of earth element.", — Idan quickly realized.
He also did not forget that the Southern Anomaly, in addition to the element of Fire, possessed the properties of the element of Earth.
"You did the right thing by waking me up," Idan told Hazel.
He also noticed her doppelganger, who was standing slightly to the side, supporting the other members of Hazel's group, former members of the Flower Gardens Guild.
They looked at them with undisguised admiration, especially at Idan in his Flame Spirit Form.
"Ask your doppelganger to contact Snow and open a portal," Idan asked, canceling his Flame Spirit Form and releasing his mighty Soul Force, scooping up the members of Hazel's group.
"We don't have much time, it's time to move on to the next city."
"I agree," Hazel nodded and looked at her doppelganger.
Her doppelganger, having received the command, also turned into a snow-white fox and opened a rift with a flick of her tail.
Soon, it connected to the rift created by Snow, forming a passage that led to the next city on the evacuation list in the south.
While the city of Rowan was being evacuated, Snow successfully reached this city and waited all this time for Idan to contact her.
"Go!"
With these words, everyone went through the portal one by one, ending up on the roof of one of the tallest buildings in the new city.
As in Rowan, they saw a dilapidated, blood-soaked and smoke-shrouded city.
"Hazel, take your men and your doppelganger and scour the city. Find the survivors and kill all the animals you meet," Idan gave the order.
"Did you hear everything?" Hazel asked her companions.
"Loud and clear," they replied in unison.
"Then let's get started."
One by one, the members of the Kingdom Guild began to complete the task.
Meanwhile, Idan sensed someone's presence.
Someone was watching him.
Turning around, he saw a black crow sitting on an antenna nearby.
"What are you doing here, Crowey?" he asked the bird.
"Fuck!" the crow swore.
"I didn't know why I was here until you showed up."
"Darkia?" — Idan voiced the name, and the crow, frightened, flapped its wings, letting him know that he had guessed right.
