Chapter 947: Crowey's predicament

Chapter 947: Crowey's predicament

Things haven't been going well for Crowey lately.

Previously, he could manage his time at his own discretion and did what pleased him. However, once in the hands of a mysterious and sinister entity, he turned into a tool for its surveillance and espionage.

His loyal crows no longer fulfilled his wishes, but followed the orders of this entity that calls itself Darkia.

He didn't like it very much.

But there was nothing he could do about this entity.

Resistance was useless.

Resistance was useless. He was already in the tight grip of this entity, and there was no way to free himself. His attempts at rebellion and resistance only worsened his position in the eyes of this entity and even seemed to cause her some joy.

As a reward, this entity loved to torment him and even reduced his time of freedom of action.

The onset of the Disaster further increased the pressure from Darkia.

Now his crows were scattered not only throughout the Federation, but also beyond its borders, on other continents.

"The Little Crow"

One day, Darkia suddenly turned to him and gave a direct order: Crowey had to personally appear with his free crows at a certain place, where a snow-white fox was already waiting for him.

Crowey sent his crows through the portal created by the fox, and after making sure they were safely through it, he stepped in himself.

So Crowey ended up in the city of Rowan in front of Idan.

At the sight of Idan in the form of the Alpha of Light, Crowey couldn't help but laugh, which sounded like the cawing of a crow, mistakenly thinking that this guy was also under the power of that entity.

While laughing, the consciousness of this entity took over his body, plunging him into darkness.

As Crowey regained control of his body in an awkward position, memories of Darkia's conversation with Idan surfaced in his mind. From this conversation, he realized that the person standing in front of him was none other than Irene's younger brother.

What struck him the most was that this guy didn't look like him. He was not under the control of this entity. And he was even more surprised that for some reason this entity showed interest in him.

Crowey noticed that Darkia's interest in Idan was different from how she showed towards other Awakened Ones.

When Idan began to give orders, Crowey wanted to resist, but the words left by Darkia came back to his mind, and this forced him to obey.

His crows scattered throughout the city of Rowan in search of survivors and animals.

During his forced collaboration with Idan, Crowey witnessed his incredible abilities and was deeply impressed. He began to suspect why this entity was so intensely interested in him.

When a huge wall of Anomaly fire appeared over the horizon, he felt great discomfort among his crows and, having completed his task, decided to leave.

To his surprise, Idan didn't hold him back and even thanked him for his help.

Taking most of his crows, he quickly left Rowan City, simultaneously applying the concealment of the element of darkness.

However, his joy and freedom were short-lived.

Soon, his consciousness was plunged into darkness again, and he realized that that entity had taken over his body again.

After waking up, Crowey found himself in an unfamiliar city. He couldn't figure out how he got here or for what purpose.

He didn't have to puzzle for a long time, because one of his crows noticed the opening of an already familiar portal, from which a group of people appeared, led by Idan, his old acquaintance.

Crowey, immersed in silence, watched them leave until they disappeared into the city streets.

Only the sudden call of Idan, who noticed him, brought him out of his reverie.:

"What are you doing here, Crowey?"

"Fuck!" he swore, and the crow echoed his words.

Realizing what really happened and why he was here, he sighed and said:

"I didn't understand why I was here myself until you showed up."

"Darkia?" Idan suggested, and at the mention of that name, a shudder ran through Crowey's body, transmitted to the crow, which beat its wings in fright.

"Looks like I guessed right," Idan said, shaking his head.

From an early observation, Crowey's general reluctance did not escape Idan's eyes. By and large, he cooperates with him only out of fear and submission.

Without a doubt, Crowey's abilities were extremely useful in this situation, and Idan, despite the complexity of Crowey's situation, wanted him to help them.

"Since you're here, help me," Idan said to the crow. "Find the survivors and the beasts, and as soon as you find them, report to Hazel and the others."

"Hazel?" the crow croaked in surprise.

Because of his amazement, Crowey did not even recognize his former acquaintance among the departed people - one of the Heroes of the Federation, like himself.

It should be noted that Crowey has yet to see Hazel after she became a Valkyrie by drinking a Bloodline potion.

Crowey turned his attention to the ravens that were circling over the city and quickly found Hazel. When he saw her, he froze, fascinated by her new look.

Although she was still short, her charm was made even stronger by her four beautiful wings, which made her look like a celestial maiden.

"How did I not notice her before?" thought Crowey, forgetting about Idan's request and completely focusing on watching Hazel. He once again succumbed to his bad habit of voyeurism.

Hazel, busy searching for survivors and beasts, was hovering over the city when she noticed someone staring at her and felt a strangely familiar sensation.

When she turned around, she saw the raven and immediately understood everything.

"Fucking pervert Crowey!" she exclaimed, and without hesitation cast a spell, aiming at raven.

"Ah! Wait, Hazel! Stop!" the crow began to caw, flapping its wings.

"I'm here to help with the evacuation!" he blurted out, trying to calm Hazel's anger, although inside he scolded himself for being distracted and giving himself away.

He also realized that in his own words he had agreed to help with the evacuation.

Hazel stopped when she heard the crow's cry, but knowing Crowey, she didn't immediately believe him.

Meanwhile, on the roof, after a long silence, the crow said:

"Okay, I'll help you," Crowey voiced his willingness to help.

"That's great," Idan, of course, was very happy to receive his support.
