Chapter 986: So what happened?
Chapter 986: So what happened?
Rezkar Smoky Claw.
That was his name and was known in the territory of Darkness.
In the form of a dragon, his body was elongated and flexible, like a predator's.
The unusual scales, made of dense smoke and soot, looked black from a distance, but upon closer inspection, iridescences of graphite, dark purple and cold blue could be seen in it. A light haze spreads along the edges of the scales, which is why the contours of the body are constantly blurred.
A head with a long snout and curved horns that look like charred branches or fragments of the night. The dragon's bright scarlet eyes were filled with rage.
It spread its two massive wings with translucent smoky membranes, ready to soar upward.
The dragon's paws were thin but strong, with long claws like obsidian blades. A long tail with a sharp bone spike at the end wriggled behind his back. Dark smoke poured out of the dragon's mouth, like a mist enveloping its silhouette.
"Graaaaa!" he growled furiously, looking at Ned, ready to continue the fight.
However, his mind, clouded by rage, did not notice that besides Ned in the form of Lumiar, two other beings more powerful than Ned were looking at him with cold eyes.
"Graaaaa!" a new, more powerful and majestic roar of another Dragon thundered, drowning out the previous furious roar of Rezkar.
Then, a crushing pressure surged towards Rezkar, pinning him to the ashen ground.
Chains of fire burst out from under the glowing stone surface, entangling Rezkar's massive body like a vise. And spears of Light rained down from the heavens, finally pinning him to the ground.
Completely overwhelmed by the three forces, Rezkar's mind began to clear up.
The first thing he saw was the hateful creature whose death he most desired.
He couldn't forget Ned's humiliating act in the Awakened Association building, and only death could soothe his wounded soul.
The only thing that kept him from going berserk at the sight of Ned was the presence of two powerful beings who shouldn't be here.
Of course, Rezkar's attention was first attracted by another dragon, larger and more majestic, with red fiery scales, massive wings and horns on its head. His fiery red eyes bored into him with a cold, furious gaze, as if wanting to burn his soul.
Idan was the last to attract attention, and after jointly suppressing Rezkar, he no longer paid attention to him.
"He's yours, do whatever you want with him, just don't kill him. We still need him to learn more about the state of the Territory of Darkness, including the territories of the Dark Beasts."
After giving this message to Ned, Idan went to the rest of the group.
Ned was at first slightly annoyed that he was interrupted in the battle, but after seeing the state of his group, he suppressed this feeling, replacing it with anger directed at Rezkar.
"Graaaaa!" came an agonized, painful growl from Rezkar, as Idan headed towards the group. More precisely, to those who survived this ambush.
The Fire Dragon, watching Rezkar's suffering, relaxed with satisfaction. He left the hated dark dragon in Ned's care and began to shrink, returning to his human form—a handsome young man with long red hair and horns on his head.
After creating clothes around his beautiful, slender, and sculpted body that could attract the gazes of all women, he appeared next to Idan, carefully examining his Flame Spirit Form.
Idan noticed his slightly jealous gaze.
"What? Do I look delicious?"
"Oh, it's delicious," Reynar did not deny. His Fire Dragon bloodline was actively reacting to Idan's Flame Spirit Form, especially considering that Idan's true rank was below his, and it would be easy for Reynar to suppress him.
"It's a pity..." sighed Reynar regretfully, turning his attention to the rest of the group.
Idan, unwilling to wave a red flag in front of a true sixth-rank being, finally cancelled his Spirit Form, taking on the form of an Alpha of Light, starting to emit healing light.
"So what happened?"
Reynar replied after a short silence.:
"We were attacked by five, as you say, Creatures of Darkness: that dragon and four more Platinum-ranked creatures."
Idan frowned, looking around. Considering that Ned had taken on Rezkar, the only Diamond-ranked creature, it was unlikely that four Platinum-ranked creatures would be able to inflict so much damage on their group.
"Listen to me before you draw conclusions," Reynar interrupted his thoughts.
"Your Madman fought the dragon from the very beginning and took him away from the others, leaving his three spears with us."
"Each of them fought one Platinum-ranked creature, and the rest of us managed to suppress the fourth one."
Having said that, Reynar paused, and then, turning to Idan, continued:
"Everything was going well until another group of Dark Creatures appeared, led by another Diamond-ranked Dark Creature."
"What?"
The appearance of a Diamond-ranked creature that ignored the imminent appearance of the Seeds of law was incredible in itself. Something must have happened that attracted this creature more than the Seeds of law.
Rezkar's revenge and anger towards Ned could still be understood, as could the Fire Creatures' attack on him due to their desire to obtain his bloodline.
But what made the second group attack their group?
After giving Idan time to process what he had heard, Reynar continued his story.:
"Shaira, that's what the four subordinates of this dragon named her."
"?" Idan looked at him questioningly.
"A female," — Reynar added. "A dark panther with an incredibly attractive body and mesmerizing eyes. Frankly, I got a hard-on, and I wouldn't mind playing with her and finding out what panthers taste like in bed..."
Idan's face twisted in disgust.
Reynar, noticing this, grinned.
"Ahem," he coughed, trying to get rid of the disturbing vulgar thoughts.
"I'll tell you what, this Shaira was crazy."
"From the very beginning, she showed interest in me and other men, and as for the women, she immediately ordered her subordinates to kill them."
"And you can see the result of these actions for yourself," Reinard concluded.
Now Idan understood why there were only girls among the entire group of dead, while most of the boys were alive but badly injured.
"The guys and I tried to stop them, but the forces were unequal."
"Muscle Mountain suffered a lot while protecting that Valkyrie from Shaira herself, and as a result, he received these severe injuries. And the Valkyrie's doppelganger was torn apart by the claws of Shaira herself."
Idan's gaze fell on Nathan, who was lying unconscious with a huge lacerated wound on his chest and broken arms. Under the radiance of his element of light, the wounds began to be cleansed from the influence of the element of darkness and gradually healed.
"There's a black stone involved," — Idan concluded.
Lying next to Nathan was Hazel, whose condition was more severe than his own. Despite all the terrible wounds, she was still alive. Her doppelganger's body disappeared without a trace. Knowing that the doppelgangers did not have their own bodies, and remembering how they turned into black sludge, Idan assumed that it simply disappeared into thin air.
"Did Nathan succeed?" the thought flashed.
Then his gaze fell on Hailey, who had a baby dragon lying on her chest and crying.
"She's alive," Reynar said.
"But her soul is badly damaged."
"To help everyone, after the death of her doppelganger in an attempt to protect her, she destroyed her Second Beast Soul herself in order to break the contract between us, taking all the consequences on herself."
