Chapter 1099: Unknown Domain I - Daniel Fang
Chapter 1099: Unknown Domain I - Daniel Fang
"Since when have your parents been so active in your life? Didn’t you say they were deadbeats?" Rebecca asked Daniel Fang, who was busy responding to their messages.
They were seated on a lovely wooden porch made from the [Nature’s Love] Soultrait of a friendly Forest Elf. The porch’s main support pillars were four large tree trunks, whose roots and branches intertwined, forming a neat net, which worked out perfectly to create a ceiling and uneven floor of roots. It took some effort and Lucia’s Nature Divinity to transform the roots into a proper floor – the uneven portions were filled with resilient bushes that highlighted nature’s beauty.
Lucia went above and beyond to grow furniture from the ground and the ceiling, creating a swing of branches, vines, leaves, and several other customized pieces of furniture.
Thinking about Lucia, Daniel smiled vibrantly.
’Did she convince Michael, or is she still trying? Now that I think about it, Michael probably gave in faster than Alice. He’s a pushover when it comes to his daughter. That’s odd, given how powerful Michael is. But then again, being a New Primal doesn’t mean he can easily escape his wife and daughter’s wrath.’
He chuckled and shook his head. A daughter wasn’t easy to raise, especially if you had to do your utmost to make sure that your daughter didn’t turn into an arrogant little prick. Lucia was nice, but she was also powerful. She was aware of her power and had been seen using her power to suppress her peers. Her peers were fools who fell in love with the idiot after she beat the shit out of them.
Until now, Daniel and Michael had no clue how Lucia had done it. They spent countless hours, or it might as well have been days, trying to figure out what Lucia did to the boys for them to fall in love with them after she broke their arms and legs. Some were even beaten half to death, yet they still fell for her.
’Let’s not waste even more hours with that thought. Nobody knows, and we will probably never find out either way.’
Daniel returned his focus to the holographic screen with a thin smile on his lips as he answered all messages. He responded to the questions and went out of his way to answer them, but that much was obvious. After all, they asked about Michael. How could Daniel not answer them when it came to his brother?
"Yes, but no. My parents are weird," Daniel responded, still smiling smugly.
"Is that so? I think you are just as weird. Michael too. No. Michael is probably the weirdest," Rebecca snickered, "But then again…I think the universe would be a much better place with a few more weirdos like you and Michael."
"You think so? I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Too many of us, and we might accidentally destroy a bunch of galaxies. Especially Michael. My brother is a little insane if you know what I mean," He looked up and winked at Rebecca, whose cheeks turned red.
"I…don’t know, actually. But I’m not sure if I want to know. I think I will be better off not knowing anything."
"That’s probably for the best. Other than the news about–...." Daniel’s lips parted, but he shut them before too many important pieces of information left his mouth.
"News about what?" Rebecca asked. She approached Daniel, her eyes glimmering dangerously.
"News about what?!"
Daniel might have attained godhood and acquired the title of the Undefeatable Sword God, but if there was one person who could defeat him…it was definitely Rebecca. Her eyes bore deep into Daniel as she stepped before him. Her finger bore into his chest as she tapped him.
Daniel swallowed hard but didn’t say a word. Not until Rebecca turned away to leave.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
Rebecca grumbled, "You aren’t going to tell me, so I might as well make myself useful and help with the production of more Anti-Blood-I serum."
"But you are on vacation this week."
"They won’t complain if someone with paid time off comes to help," Rebecca shrugged and left. That was enough to break down Daniel’s last defense.
"Okay, okay. Come back, and I will tell you."
Rebecca was back on the porch even before the last word escaped Daniel’s lips.
"I’m good at that, ain’t I?" Rebecca giggled.
"At being a pain in the ass? That’s for sure."
"So what? Now tell me about the news!" Rebecca demanded, and Daniel obliged. He had already lost and there was no need to hide it anymore. In fact, the news would probably spread soon.
We found reason to believe that the Origin Universe has been connected to a much smaller universe, or a fragment of a universe, in the last Primal War. We are unsure if the death of one Primal caused this or if the birth of the New Primal triggered something within the Origin Universe. Either way, the weave is constantly changing and expanding, and we only found out why exactly it is doing so a few weeks ago.
Well, to be precise, Michael found out about it a few weeks ago, and he has been wondering what to do about it. The Guardians have already been informed as well and they decided to share news with the Pantheon. That’s how I ended up finding out a week ago or so."
"You’ve known about it for a week, and you are only telling me about it now?!" Rebecca asked in shock, "How could you do that to me?"
Daniel squinted his eyes. "Calm down. It has only been a week, and you told me not to bother you for the last four weeks because you were busy and that you could not concentrate when I was around. I just followed your order."
Rebecca snickered but she seemed to have calmed down a little.
"So, you found an entirely new part of the universe, which is possibly a fragment of another universe, or a whole universe, though a tiny one? That is lit." Rebecca’s eyes were bright like diamonds at this moment.
"When are we leaving?"
"What?" Daniel responded in confusion.
"Well…when are we leaving for the unknown?" Rebecca asked as if the answer was obvious.
"Michael asked me to check it out. I will be going to research the unknown, yeah. But you?"
"You’re not going to take me with you?"
"Aren’t you busy?"
"Nahhh, others can replace me easily. I was trying to get promoted but exploring the unknown sounds much better."
Daniel raised an eyebrow but nodded slowly. It didn’t sound too bad to be traveling around the unknown, exploring it, with Rebecca. He would love to do that.
"So, you’re coming with me?" Danny asked to ensure that he heard correctly.
"Of course. Who else is coming?" She asked excitedly.
"Nobody. Michael asked me to check it out first. I’m the first explorer."
"Oh…"
Realization struck Rebecca, but she quickly regained composure.
"That’s crazy! Let’s be the first to discover countless new life forms. That will be amazing!"
"Yes, it will be."
As long as they would be together, it would definitely be amazing.
