Chapter 1100: Unknown Domain II - Daniel Fang
Chapter 1100: Unknown Domain II - Daniel Fang
"Are you ready?" Rebecca asked in excitement?
Daniel and Rebecca stood before a massive Bridge that would teleport them to the closest border to the unknown domain. After that, they had to travel via spaceship or travel to space like this. However, since Rebecca was not a god, and would probably never be, their traveling speed would be too slow.
In the first place, it was more relaxing to travel by spaceship. They wouldn’t have to waste much precious energy that way.
"I told everyone that it would be hard to contact me in the next…few years. So yeah, I’m ready. Finally, I can have some time for myself." Daniel mumbled, but he caught Rebecca’s gaze and quickly added, "Time for us."
Rebecca nodded and gave him a thumbs-up. She leaned closer to him and kissed Danny on the cheek. That was enough to stir something within Daniel.
"Let’s go!"
Daniel retrieved a small spaceship from his War Rune’s space and approached it to enter. The spaceship was approximately fifteen meters long and seven meters wide. It was flat with a roughly two-meter height and sometimes looked like paper planes. The first time Michael showed him the spaceship, Daniel was certain it was a failure. A spaceship-like that would never rival the large-scale spaceships that could travel at lightspeed through the galaxy.
Reaching the speed of light wasn’t easy and required tremendous amounts of energy. However, Skypiercer was a new creation, a small spaceship capable of reaching the speed of light, which was all they needed to travel through the unknown domain without any issues. At least, that was what they hoped.
Skypiercer would help them navigate the unknown domain, but Daniel and Rebecca would have to solve most other problems independently.
"I’m ready!" Rebecca shouted, charging toward the open gates of Skypiercer to sit down on the co-pilot’s seat and get started. She had used her Soultrait to analyze the spaceship before departure and was up-to-date at this point. It wouldn’t surprise Daniel if she knew more about the spaceship than he did.
That would be great.
He entered the spaceship and started the engine. His mana flooded the spaceship’s control panel, gaining full access to all configurations. His mana had been added to the authorities, allowing him to drive and configure the spaceship as he pleased. But the latter wasn’t necessary, fortunately.
Daniel started the engine and commanded Skypiercer to levitate above the ground.
"That’s not bad at all. Using mana to control everything. Michael did an amazing thing with the Robitcants," Rebecca murmured excitedly, her hands caressing the seamlessly connected metal plates.
"They did a great job, yep," Daniel added lightly before telling Skypiercer to move forward. A single mental command was all it took to shoot forward and charge into the Bridge. The world around Daniel and Rebecca twisted, and it didn’t take long before the harbor built around the Bridges disappeared.
The wide-open space appeared around them, revealing countless stars in the distance. However, Daniel and Rebecca were more focused on the situation ahead.
"Michael told me that the border to the unknown domain couldn’t be missed, but I did not expect it to be like this," Daniel murmured while Rebecca nodded absentmindedly. She used her Soultraits to analyze the situation unfolding ahead of her, but given the missing pieces of information, Analysis struggled to come up with a proper answer.
The unknown domain looked similar to the Origin Universe, but there were a few particular differences. First, the space was even darker than the Origin Universe’s space. It wasn’t eerily dark or anything like that, but it looked like the weave in the unknown domain – if they had something like the weave in the first place – was mixed with a different type of energy. No, not one energy. Different types of energy.
"Do you have enough energy stones to replenish your used-up energy a…bunch of times if you need to?" Rebecca asked at this moment.
"Yep. Michael gave me loads. I didn’t understand why at first, but I got his point. We will have to analyze these energies to find out how different they are from origin energy and if our Energy Pillars can use or convert them," Danny murmured while the spaceship traveled ahead.
The border to the unknown was even darker than the unknown’s space, and it clashed with the weave. At least, that was what it looked like to Daniel.
He hesitated for a moment when they were about to cross the border – the weave tried stopping him, almost like a mother trying to stop its child from moving out – but Daniel did it regardless. They crossed the border in one go and took in the changes.
First, Daniel noticed that his connection to the weave was temporarily severed. He could still access his Divinity, but it was more difficult to do so. On top of that, Daniel could only use the Essence accumulated within his Divinity since his access to the weave had been cut for the time being.
"So that’s why the Guardians didn’t come to check it out," Daniel nodded in understanding.
"What are you talking about?" Rebecca inquired.
"The weave is not in control of the unknown domain. For the time being, I’m not a god anymore. If anything, I’m more like a Demi-God with decent sword skills," Daniel teased, which earned a raised eyebrow from Rebecca.
"So, what you’re saying is that the unknown domain blocks your access to the weave AND weakens your Divinity? Because if the latter wasn’t the case, you would still be a full-fledged god."
Daniel nodded calmly. Something about his Divinity had been altered, preventing him from using its full potential.
"That is problematic," Rebecca mumbled, "If you encounter some sort of god using the powers of the unknown, we might die."
"It will be fine. I can protect you," Daniel winked at Rebecca, who scoffed, "I’m not that weak myself. I’m just telling you that fights against gods will be problematic. That means….you shouldn’t cause any trouble!"
Daniel rolled his eyes but proceeded to travel deeper into the unknown. It didn’t take long to locate some nearby planets, but Rebecca first wanted to scan them for intelligent life, unique plants, and so on. Daniel was certain there was some interesting plant life on all planets—if the right conditions were met—given the multitude of unique energy systems.
"I will analyze the energies. On the other hand, you can…do whatever you want, I guess," Rebecca shrugged.
Thus, that was what Daniel did. He stayed by Rebecca’s side and watched her intently as she released a few strands of origin energy to separate traces of the unknown energy systems from the domain.
It wasn’t easy, as the energies resisted her, but with enough origin energy, it worked, more or less.
Rebecca used her Soullife Arts with Analyzation to analyze the traces of energies and began mumbling in excitement.
"Neither of them have any, or many, characteristics of origin energy. But they all do something origin energy can do as well. One of the energies releases properties similar to the origin energy when used with a mind and soul refinement technique. They’re like spiritual waves if one uses old scriptures to determine what origin energy does in the mind and soul," Rebecca murmured in excitement.
"Then there is an energy that feels like a body refinement technique, after what it does to origin energy when it is altered to refine the body. The physical energy can be used to immediately refine the body by absorbing it. There is no need for a body refinement technique. That is interesting! But the last one is truly astounding as well. It releases a similar frequency as most magical phenomena. It is several times stronger and feels much more magical."
She looked at him, "I wonder if you can use it to unleash even more powerful moves.
