Chapter 1492: Dylan Stargaze

"What?!" The captain rushed to see what the soldier was talking about. On the plain field, they could see a small army charging toward the incoming demon army. Countless flags with the Stargaze family’s crest had been raised.

"They are truly... the Stargaze family... But that’s not possible. I know that their territory will most likely be attacked once we’re done, but they don’t have enough manpower to defeat them.

"Besides, an ancient demon could only be defeated through spirit transcendence. Why are they so reckless?" The captain was speechless.

Dylan had covered himself in full-body armor. His pure white armor was shining as if trying to let people know where he was. This armor would soon be covered in blood and show how many demons he had killed.

Dylan didn’t say anything right away. "My sister?"

"Sister-in-law is coming. She asks us to prevent more devastation in the north and hold them back as long as possible."

"How about our army?"

"Our army is on the way. It will take at least two hours to get here. However, we have asked for trains to transport them, but even they will need at least thirty minutes to arrive."

"I see." Dylan fell silent for a moment before asking with a solemn tone. "I’m sorry for dragging you back to the battlefield."

Dylan smiled as he raised his glaive before shouting, "Our enemies outnumber us by twenty times. If our momentum stops, we will be surrounded.

"I’m sure you are going to be scared, so you just have to do one thing. Look at my back and follow me. I will lead you to victory." Dylan grinned, his blood boiling with excitement.

The moment he ended his speech, his wife raised the flag. This flag was a present from Anna.

She knew how much of a knight her brother was. Although he had become a noble, replacing their father, he was still a knight. And for an army, a flag was a symbol of identity.

And that was why she asked Noel to make this flag.

When his wife raised the flag, she channeled her energy into the flag, activating the rune hidden underneath the family’s crest.

Honor Bearer Rune. An advanced rune hidden in the transition layer between two outer layers. The rune card was too small for an advanced rune, but a flag was big enough to make one even if it was a bit hard.

She was the one supplying its energy to the flag. Thanks to the activation of the rune at a perfect time, people could feel a massive surge of strength as if it was coming from a rousing speech.

Dylan brought only the captain of the Stargaze family’s garrison, while the vice captain stayed behind to organize the rest of the troops.

The captain noticed Dylan was moving a bit too fast. "Wait. My lord. The speech is enough. Don’t go too far!"

"It’s useless, Captain Ran. Even back in the army, we tried to stop him, but it just made him speed up even further."

"What? Madam... You..." The captain was speechless.

As she said those words, Dylan reached the demon army. He raised his glaive and swung it horizontally.

The power coming from the glaive traveled forward like an extension of the glaive, killing more than thirty demons in front of him. That residual power was stopped by a peak level demon, but it still caused a massive explosion, killing even more demons.

With just a single swing, a path was opened.

This was their commander, the one leading their army. When the marquis was leading them in front, the soldiers couldn’t help but grit their teeth.

"How can I call myself a soldier of the Stargaze family if I don’t come for my lord!"

"Kill the demons!"

Dylan smiled. His body was brimming with excitement and power. He swung his glaive one more time, killing tens of demons as he roared.
