"Huu..." Rui exhaled a long breath. Because of the headband, her strength had undergone a change.

So, she had to adjust her power accordingly. It wouldn’t be good if she ended up failing to control her own power.

She then leaped into the sky. As expected, the ancient demon bear that she was supposed to fight roared, challenging her.

Rui realized that the headband actually gave her more power than she originally expected.

"I see. If this is the case..." Rui was ready to concentrate her power one more time.

The bear couldn’t allow Rui to cause a ruckus on the battlefield, so it charged forward.

The bear ran while accumulating enough energy in its paws. The moment it was close enough to Rui, the bear slapped the ground, causing the ground to come out.

If it continued, those rocks would hit even her own people.

Hence, Rui waved her hand as if creating a plus symbol in the air. The plus symbol then released a powerful beam of light, which generated a force even more powerful than the earth itself.

It broke apart not only the ground but also the spiritual energy itself.

Then, Rui used the power of light to increase her speed to the very limit, carrying all that momentum to hit the bear. The latter halted its steps and slapped her.

However, Rui kicked with even more force than the slap itself.

"!!!" The demon widened its eyes. The bear was confident in its strength, yet against Rui, it couldn’t do anything.

However, Rui wasn’t in the clear either. It was true that the headband enhanced her power, but there was also a hidden problem.

’Kh...’ Rui blew away the bear, but she looked like she was the one in trouble. The energy from her body was fusing with the headband.

As a result, the headband could strengthen that power at a cost. And that cost was the uncontrollable power, both in input and output.

When she poured the energy, the headband sucked her energy to strengthen it. But the way it drained her energy made it hard for her to control the amount of energy she planned to insert.

In other words, she would end up using more energy. If she carelessly used her energy, it wouldn’t be long before she ended up exhausting everything.

’I can’t waste too much energy. I have another task here, so I have to conserve as much energy as possible and go there...’ Rui took a deep breath.

’If one couldn’t control the flow of water, then build a container to control it.’ Rui muttered inwardly. A new layer formed, containing the power of light.

Then, she let one part of it shatter, forming a hole that allowed the light to come out.

The light flew much faster and contained even more power.

"Ahhh!" Rui gritted her teeth as her body was shaking, causing the beam to become uncontrollable, like a child failing to control a hose.

But the laser casually exploded upon impact, incinerating the spiritual energy around it and killing dozens of demons.

Because of her uncontrollable beam, it ended up destroying their ranks, causing massive devastation to the demon army.

The bear also got hit for a moment. It managed to block the laser by raising both arms. Still, the power from the laser almost burned its arms away.

If it took the entire attack by itself, the bear couldn’t imagine what would happen.

Rui bit her lip. Thanks to the headband, her power might rival that of someone with a king path.

However, her skill was nowhere near enough to control this level of power.

That was why Rui was having a hard time despite having a clear gap between her and the bear.

After all, Anna and Noel would never have a hard time against an ancient demon at this level.

"Ahhh! I can’t control it with the vessel, so..." Rui ended up combining Noel’s theory with her own fighting style.

She might have some abilities to control the light, but her main fighting style was hand-to-hand combat.

Since she couldn’t create a vessel to control that power, there was only one solution left.

Rui flew toward the bear, using her light speed to cover the distance in an instant.
