System's POV

Chapter 1401: The King, And Queen Of Hearts [Part 1]

Chapter 1401: The King, And Queen Of Hearts [Part 1]

Thirteen was once a System.

Even if he couldn’t feel it, he understood the concept of lust. But since he hadn’t experienced it before, he was quite clueless about it.

Truth be told, it wasn’t impossible for him to remain indifferent even if the key of lust had unlocked this unfamiliar sensation in his heart.

Yes. The past Thirteen would’ve likely been completely immune to this feeling.

However, some variables made the situation entirely different.

And what were those variables?

The threads of destiny connecting him to Tiona and Stella, who were with him at the moment.

This strong connection brought out a primal instinct that shouldn’t have affected him normally.

It wasn’t lust alone.

There was also love mixed in it.

Tiona’s current form looked almost exactly like the Tiona who had once been Thirteens’ former host.

The only difference was their hair color.

His previous host had silver hair, but the current Tiona had black hair.

However, they looked the same otherwise, making the yearning that he had felt for her in the past rise up from the deepest corner of his soul core.

Thirteen might not have known what love was in the past. But he had subconsciously loved all of his hosts and cared for them deeply.

This was why when some of them had encountered great tragedies, like what had happened to Kate, he had been forced to erase these memories.

He couldn’t resume functioning as a system otherwise. But fragmented traces of those memories lingered, influencing his subconscious.

Perhaps a part of Thirteen didn’t want to fully forget about his Hosts and thus clung to what little remained of his connection with them.

The red thread that connected him to Tiona glowed faintly, becoming more vibrant... becoming more alive.

"Tiona... I," Thirteen said hoarsely as he looked straight into her eyes.

"It’s okay, Master," Tiona replied. "I have been waiting for it for a very long time. Make me yours."

Tiona had regained her past life’s memories while comatose. While dreaming of her memories with Thirteen, she had remembered her former human form.

This allowed her to transform into her current form, which fitted her soul perfectly.

While Thirteen didn’t say anything about Tiona’s transformation, it was impossible for him to remain indifferent to it.

He understood that there were things in life that you couldn’t brush off as a mere coincidence.

But he didn’t say anything because he was afraid of changing his relationship with her.

Though the water filling the tub was cold, Thirteen’s body was hot. He was so feverish that Tiona could still feel his warmth through direct skin contact despite the coldness of the water.

She gently pulled Thirteen close to her, letting his head rest on her chest.

"It’s okay, Master," Tiona said while lightly patting the back of his head. "It will help you to calm down."

Thirteen no longer fought and did the thing that helped babies calm down whenever they were hungry.

Tiona watched her Master fondly and continued to lightly pat his head as if to encourage him.

She also gazed at the door of the bathroom with a faint smile on her face. The young lady was well aware that Stella was on the other side of the door, listening to their conversation.

A few minutes later, Thirteen had finally regained a bit of his calm.

But Little Zion was far from being calm.

It was like a soldier raring to go into battle. If Erica and the rest of his lovers had been there, they would have lost spectacularly against the little guy’s vigor.

However, they weren’t there. The only one who could calm him down was Tiona.

And that was what she did.

The trust they had shared during their previous and current lives was a bond that no one would be able to break so easily.

Not even death prevented them from reuniting once more.

With whispers of love, Tiona managed to coax Thirteen to do what must be done to revert him to normal.

Thirteen had gained a lot of experience from his lovers, so he ensured that his special someone would remember today as one of her most fondest memories.

In order to do that, he held Tiona’s hand and led her out of the bathroom.

Stella had already made her escape because she understood what was going to happen next.

She wasn’t an innocent and naive lady. Her father had more than fifty wives, and her mothers weren’t the least bit shy about sharing her father’s prowess in lovemaking.

This was their so-called education so that when it was their daughters’ turn to experience it, they would not act like a dead fish throughout the act of lovemaking.

Thirteen gently placed Tiona on the bed and kissed her lips. He didn’t know why, but they tasted sweet as if she had just eaten some kind of candy.

They gazed at each other lovingly afterwards before Thirteen finally let go of all inhibitions.

He made love to her as gently as possible, knowing it was her first time.

Their union made Thirteen feel as if he had regained something that he had lost in the past.

Something that truly belonged to him as a System that demanded justice for his former hosts who had suffered under the whims of Fate.

But he wasn’t finished just yet.

He sought Tiona’s lips.

His hands wandered around her body.

And her soft sighs encouraged him to continue making love to her.

Both were blissfully together in a world of their own, shielded from the gaze of spectators that couldn’t see what was happening inside the room.

For there were three ladies making sure that no one would be able to disturb the two, who had finally reunited after a very, very, very long time.

Somewhere in the multiverse, far away from the two lovers who had sealed their love with a kiss, a young lady smiled faintly.

Beside her, her two older sisters were also smiling. They were happy for Thirteen, who was very special to them.

"It seems that he is slowly regaining what he has lost," the youngest of the three said happily.

"Indeed. But we must maintain our vigilance," her older sister replied. "The future may change, so one must focus on the present. Fate will definitely play her hand."

"The past stands behind us," the oldest of the three sisters commented. "It is silent and unmoving, yet its light reaches far ahead. The future is not born from nothing. It is illuminated by all that came before it."

The two other ladies nodded before they continued to spin Thirteen’s thread of life, which they had taken away from the machinations of Fate.
