Chapter 1402: The King, And Queen Of Hearts [Part 2]

Tiona watched Thirteen softly breath as he slept right beside her.

His face was still a little flushed from their earlier lovemaking, but he looked very peaceful in his sleep. It was an expression only those whom he truly trusted had the privilege to see.

And she was one of those people.

The young lady wiped his body with a piece of cloth, ensuring to be gentle so that he wouldn’t wake up from his slumber.

She tended to him as if he was the most precious thing in the world to her.

Thirteen was her friend.

Her supporter.

And her beloved.

He occupied a very big piece of her heart, and just being with him made her life feel complete.

When he made love with her earlier, she felt like the happiest lady in the world. Tiona understood that in this lifetime, she was bound to share Zion with other women.

But that was fine with her.

The young lady slowly held Thirteen’s hand and watched as the thread of destiny fluttered from his pinky finger.

The red thread connected to her own, while the other threads rose up to the sky. These threads connected him to his other lovers who were millions of light years away from him.

But Tiona noticed something peculiar.

A golden thread fluttered toward the door, passing through it.

In the past, she had never seen these threads of destiny. Only after she and Thirteen became one did they become visible to her.

However, Tiona knew that this was just a temporary thing.

Even now, the threads were fainter than they were a few hours ago. Perhaps, when morning came, she would no longer be able to see them, so she had to make sure.

She had to know who the golden thread connected to.

After covering her beloved with a blanket, Tiona wore a dress and approached the door.

She followed the golden thread until she arrived at the balcony of the residence.

There, Stella stood, looking up at the starry sky.

"Is he finally asleep?" Stella asked.

"Yes," Tiona replied, her eyes locked onto the golden thread fluttering on the young lady’s index finger.

"Are you alright?" Stella asked. "Does it hurt anywhere?"

A tinge of red could be seen on the young lady’s cheek as she asked Tiona this question.

"Zion made me drink a healing potion earlier," Tiona replied. "I’ll be fine by tomorrow."

An awkward silence fell between the two ladies that lasted for nearly two minutes before Stella spoke once more.

"H-How was it?" Stella asked. "I mean... you know. What was your first experience like?"

"He did his best to be gentle," Tiona smiled faintly. "He made me feel loved, and I’m very happy to receive that love from him. I also want to thank you. If not for you, we might have not taken that step together. Zion loved me in his own way, but we never crossed that line in the past."

"You don’t need to thank me." Stella shook her head. "In fact, I should apologize to him for what happened earlier. I should have stopped my Godmother before she could harm him."

Tiona didn’t reply, but she walked closer toward Stella. When she stood right beside her, she looked up at the night sky that was filled with stars.

"Stella, what do you feel about Zion?" Tiona asked without looking at the lady beside her. "Please be honest with me."

"I..." Stella frowned because she didn’t really know how to answer this question. "I don’t know."

Tiona nodded in understanding. She could tell that Stella wasn’t lying, and the other truly didn’t know how she felt about her Master.

However, there were tell-tale signs that the young lady already had feelings for him.

Maybe it was Tiona’s intuition as a woman or something else. But for her, the fact that a golden thread connected Stella to her Master was enough proof that they shared a destiny together.

"Stella, my Master is not an ordinary person," Tiona said after a few minutes of silence. "You shouldn’t treat him as a normal human. He is extremely smart, and yet extremely ignorant about certain matters.

"But he is always willing to listen. Talk to him. Get to know more about him. By doing so, you will also understand how you feel about him."

Tiona glanced at the young lady beside her and rested her hand on Stella’s shoulder.

"Just remember this—Zion is very important to me," Tiona said softly. "If you or your family were to harm him in any way, just like what happened today, I will not take it lying down."

Although she was thankful to what happened earlier, the fact remained that someone tried to harm her Master using Stella.

She had a good look at the Goddess Eros and remembered her face.

Even though Tiona understood that there was no way she would win against her in a fight, that didn’t mean that she would allow the Goddess to hurt her Master.

Tiona would not hesitate to sacrifice herself if it meant she could protect her beloved.

Thirteen was her King, and she was his Queen.

They had once been separated by circumstances, fate, time, and space. But now that they were together again, she would no longer hesitate to fight even if it was against the world or a Goddess.

Stella watched as Tiona walked away, feeling the tension that was left in her wake.

’It seems that I really need to apologize to Zion again when he wakes up tomorrow.’ Stella sighed. ’I just hope he won’t hate me because of what happened.’

She raised her hand to touch her chest that tightened at the thought of being hated by him.

The memory of her being held by him on the ferris wheel was still vivid to her. That feeling of being safe in his arms was something she would never forget.

It felt like she belonged in his embrace. This was something that she wouldn’t dare to admit to anyone, including her family.

A second sigh escaped her lips as she once again looked at the night sky.

In the distance, two people stood on top of a tower and gazed at her in secret.

They were none other than her father and mother, who were both worried about the aftermath of what happened in the amusement park.

William had tried to interrogate the Goddess, Eros, but the latter only smirked at him before returning to the Celestial Realm.

However, before she truly disappeared, she left a warning to the red-headed Half-Elf.

"You can’t keep your daughters forever, William. Sooner or later, they have to make their own choices, and even you will not be able to stop them."

And now, as he gazed at his daughter from a distance, he knew that the Goddess words were right.

Still, he was Stella’s father.

That meant that he would need to test if someone was worthy of her daughter before they could gain his approval.
