Chapter 1416: The Weight Of Countless Worlds [Part 4]
Lightning and raging flames danced in the sky as the two powerhouses clashed repeatedly.
Neither of them held back, throwing everything at their opponent with great lethality.
William unleashed a barrage of spells made up of different elements.
Fire, ice, wind, earth, water, and lightning, as well as other skills no one could use due to its complexity.
Thirteen wielded only one power and that was lightning.
His movements, mental calculations, and attacks were as fast as lightning, overcoming everything that William threw in his direction.
Every time they clashed, the Half-Elf was the one being pushed back.
No matter what William did, no matter what strategy he used, his opponent was always three to four steps ahead of him.
But he didn’t give up.
He didn’t reach his current status by giving up when facing strong enemies.
The power of faith that came from the denizens of Hestia poured into his body, supporting the Hero who guarded their world.
There had been a time when the Army of Destruction invaded Hestia.
An Army led by Surtr and the Demiurge, Yaldabaoth.
A battle that decided the fate of the entire world took place.
Asgard once fell to the Army of Destruction, and it was William who fought tooth and nail against these powerful Gods to protect Hestia.
He won that battle, forcing the Army of Destruction to retreat. Since then, he focused on rebuilding his world and hadn’t fought a battle such as the ones he fought before.
But now, facing Zion, he had to admit that his strength was just as powerful as the Gods of Destruction.
"It’s been a while since I fought seriously," William wiped the blood that seeped at the corner of his lips. "This reminds me of old times."
The Half-Elf then raised his hand, and a golden staff descended from the sky.
Thirteen arched an eyebrow after seeing the Monkey King’s staff, which his best friend had allowed him to borrow once.
"Ruyi Jingu Bang," Thirteen muttered before glancing at outer space.
The Monkey King coughed lightly before using his wine gourd to cover his face, as if to hide from Thirteen’s glare.
The Jade Emperor laughed, amused by the Monkey King’s predicament of being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Thirteen was his best friend, but he and William were in a partnership. He couldn’t just abandon the Half-Elf when he was fighting for the sake of his family.
"I see. So you are contracted to him," Thirteen said as if he had come to an understanding. "Very well. I’ll also call for backup."
Thirteen closed his eyes, and his senses extended across the entire multiverse.
Suddenly, he found what he was looking for and locked into something that was moving at high speeds, far away from the world of Hestia.
Without any hesitation, he reached out into the space before him.
A portal opened in the place where his hand had reached out. A moment later, he pulled something from that portal, which made the corner of William’s lips twitch.
"What the f*ck..." The Half-Elf cursed. "Is this a joke?"
Thirteen twirled a wooden staff in his hand and held it firmly.
But it wasn’t just any staff.
It was actually the Wooden Staff William had released years ago, hoping that it would find a suitable host worthy of its strength.
Although the wooden staff didn’t have a face or any lips where it could talk, it seemed to give out a vibe of "awkwardness" after being pulled out of nowhere in order to fight against its former master.
William didn’t know that his staff had helped Thirteen more than once.
But it didn’t choose the teenage boy as its Master. It was simply awed by his unwavering determination, which prompted it to help him multiple times.
But this time was an exception.
The staff was minding its own business, looking for a suitable host in the multiverse that could wield its strength.
Then it was kidnapped without warning, and now, its wielder was facing off against its former Master, making it and William feel awkward.
"What’s wrong?" Thirteen frowned. "Do you know each other?"

"..."
The Staff and the Half-Elf didn’t say anything as if doing so would just make things more awkward.
Thirteen paused before nodding in understanding.
"Do you want to switch?" Thirteen proposed. "You take this staff, I take Ruyi Jingu Bang."
William pondered a bit before nodding. "Deal."
"Okay, we throw our weapons at the count of three." Thirteen said. "One... two... three."
William tossed Ruyi Jingu Bang toward Zion, who caught it without too much effort.
"Um?" William blinked because his opponent was still holding the wooden staff in his hand. "The staff?"
"Oh no... I didn’t know you were this gullible?" Thirteen replied in a teasing tone. "Why would I give you a weapon that you can use against me? Do you think I’m stupid?"
"?#&$^#$&^!" the Half-Elf couldn’t help but curse at his opponent’s shamelessness, but Thirteen was unfazed by the Half-Elf’s indignation.
Even the wooden staff couldn’t help but shake its body and look at Thirteen in disbelief.
It thought that he was a righteous individual who fought for the weak and the oppressed. And yet, he was acting like a Villain who had no ounce of honor in his bones!
"Lesson number one," Thirteen said before he raised Ruyi Jingu Bang over his head. "Being shameless is a strategy. This is what the Monkey King, Sun Wukong taught me!"
"F*ck you!" William shouted in anger. "F*ck you too, Sun Wukong!"
"That’s right. You’re F*cked!" Thirteen replied. "Let’s go nuts! Ruyi Jingu Bang!"
The golden staff increased its size, and descended upon the Half-Elf who was still in disbelief because his opponent was more shameless than him when he was Zion’s age!
"I might have been a bad influence on him," Sun Wukong muttered because when Thirteen was still his system, he had shown his best friend a level of shamelessness that would make anyone faint.
The Monkey King had always been shameless and, at times, resorted to trickery and lies to win his battles.
The Gods and other Celestial Warriors all glanced at the Monkey King, which made the latter cough lightly.
It seemed that this battle had taken a turn for the worse for the Half-Elf, who was currently fighting the strongest, smartest, and most shameless foe that he had faced since he had been reincarnated with the Strongest System.
