Chapter 1420: The Perfect Place To Start A Riot

"You dare make me wait?!"

Forneus’ roar made the ground around them tremble.

A distance away from the two teenagers stood Sahard.

The pitiful Majin Prince looked at his Master with a face filled with injustice. Since Zion was nowhere to be found, the Fiend didn’t hold back and vented his anger at the only punching bag around.

Sahard almost had a mental breakdown, overthinking the life of hardship and suffering he would have to endure for the rest of his life after making the Fiend his enemy.

"Calm down, Forneus," Thirteen replied. "An issue came up while we were trying to secure the Key of Pride. However, after much hardship, it now recognizes me as its new owner."

As if to prove that his words were true, the Divine Key of Pride appeared before Thirteen, glowing brightly to assert its dominance.

As a sentient divine item that represented Pride, it fearlessly faced off against the Immortal Fiend as if asking the latter, "Do you have a problem, Bro?"

Forneus stared at the divine key and clicked his tongue in annoyance. While he didn’t know how Thirteen managed to get the key, he knew that getting its approval wasn’t an easy task.

Since their goal was to prevent the Celestial, Zaphiel, from entering Pandora’s treasury, the anger and indignation that the Fiend felt decreased a bit.

"Don’t think that this alone will appease me!" Forneus stated. "You made me wait! How are you going to make up for it?!"

Thirteen crossed his arms over his chest, and pondered a bit. After nearly two minutes of thinking, he thought of a good idea on how to appease the Fiend’s anger.

"How about we go and f*ck with Zaphiel’s army right now?" Thirteen proposed. "You can vent your anger, and we can also mess up his plans. It’s hitting two birds with one stone."

Forneus snorted. "Do you think I’m naive, and gullible? Attack Zaphiel’s army? More like letting me do your dirty work for you?"

"Well, you’re not wrong." Thirteen admitted.

"You bastard!" Forneus was so close to unleashing a breath attack to turn the teenage boy to ashes. But he held back because the other held the Key of Pride, one of the keys that the Celestials were after.

"Okay, enough with the jokes," Thirteen stated. "Right now, we have a few options. The first is to find Dantanian. We can’t trust the other Fiends and Celestials, but we can trust him. I’m sure that he’s also doing his best to find a way to stop Zaphiel from doing what he wants."

Forneus frowned. "Dantanian..."

Dantanian was the youngest among the Fiends. He’d always been a carefree person, constantly out on a journey.

He also liked to mingle with other races during his journey. Because of this, he always wore a disguise that led to his nickname, the Fiend with Many Faces.

"Do you have a way to contact him?" Thirteen asked.

"I’m not really the most sociable among the Fiends," Forneus replied. "But there are a few simple ways to get his attention."

"And that is?" Thirteen arched an eyebrow.

"The first is to pay a price and ask that greedy pig Mammon to use his ability to find Dantanian," Forneus said icily. "The second option I have in mind is easier. But we might end up attracting the attention of one more person along with the one we’re looking for."

Thirteen remained silent and allowed Forneus to finish whatever he was going to say.

"All we need to do is make an appearance in one of the major human cities and cause a bit of trouble." Forneus smiled evilly. "One of Dantanian’s abilities is called Gossip. In order to catch his attention, you need to throw in some bait and let people start talking."

Thirteen was well aware of Dantanian’s ability, Gossip. This was why he had asked the Villain he raised, Anwir, to help spread information about him.

Little did he know that Dantanian was already looking for his whereabouts. He even found a clue and appeared in the Valbarra Archipelago to find him.

But since Thirteen was always moving around, and was even sent to Solterra, the traces he left behind had gone cold. This prevented Dantanian from pinpointing his current location, which led to them missing each other.

However, Forneus’ plan wasn’t bad.

The teenage boy believed that Dantanian were also looking for allies, whether they be Celestial or Fiend.

As long as he heard that the Immortal Fiend, Forneus, had made his appearance, Dantanian would come running in order to meet him.

Why?

It was a well-known fact that Forneus and Zaphiel hated each other.

The former thought of Forneus as a weakling who only had immortality going for him.

The latter despised the Celestial’s hypocrisy, which led to them duking it out a few times against each other.

Zaphiel was stronger than Forneus, but so what?

He couldn’t kill what couldn’t be killed.

Meanwhile, Forneus would always come back and attack indiscriminately, destroying Zaphiel’s cities and killing the armies he worked very hard to raise.

This drove Zaphiel to desperation—to the point of asking Mammon and the other Celestials to intervene with their feud.

A compromise was made, and since then, the two avoided each other like a plague.

But now, things were different. Zaphiel was trying to break the status quo, and once he succeeded, the first one he would definitely look for was Forneus.

Forneus understood that even if Zaphiel couldn’t kill him, there were many ways to make him suffer.

If he were to get a divine item inside Pandora’s Treasury, it was possible for the Immortal Fiend to suffer a fate worse than death itself.

This was also why Forneus decided to assist Thirteen. He didn’t like to passively wait for his enemy to come to him.

He preferred to act first and worry about the consequences later!

"I see. So we need to cause a commotion in a major city." Thirteen nodded in understanding. "Where do you want to go then?"

Forneus grinned evilly because he already thought of a place to visit.

"Aurumvale," Forneus replied. "The Gilded City of Gold."

Aurumvale was Mammon’s prized city. It was also conveniently located near the sea and was one of the busiest ports in the continent.

Trade boomed in this region, and merchants from all over the world would come to visit and pay tribute to the Fiend of Greed, Mammon.

"Good." Thirteen smirked. "That’s the perfect place to start a riot."

The teenage boy had a history with the Fiend of Greed.

He still didn’t forget the time when Mammon tried to kill him in the Valbarra Archipelago because Thirteen had forcefully summoned him to deal with Arundel, who thought that victory was already in his grasp.
