Chapter 1462: Thirteen’s Last Words

"So, it was you." The Demigod smiled.

The Demigod’s looked down on the teenage boy, whose wings made of black flames spread wide. The air around his body seemed to crack as the pressure from his aura intensified.

"You really think you’re some kind of bigshot just because you defeated a small expedition force, huh? That’s not an army meant for invasion, puny human. That is merely a scouting party."

The Demigod then raised his hand and summoned a spear that materialized out of thin air.

"Do you know how many worlds we’ve conquered?" the Demigod asked, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "Do you know how many Gods, False Heroes, and Chosen Ones have stood in our way?"

The Infernal army chuckled darkly from behind one of their commanders.

"These Gods and Heroes all believed they’re special. They all believed they would be remembered." The Demigod sneered. "And do you know what happened to them? They all turned into ash! Do not delude yourself thinking that you are special... boy. The expedition force you stopped was only led by a complacent commander.

"This time, you won’t be facing a scouting unit. You will be facing an army meant to conquer worlds!"

As if to support his claim, the red portal widened once again. Even more infernals poured into Solterra, showing no signs of stopping soon.

"I am Demigod Kharvex of the Ashen Legion," Kharvex declared proudly. "Breaker of the Seven Seals of Vorund. The One Who Split the Twin Suns of Myr."

He leaned forward slightly, a predatory grin forming on his face.

"You may not know my name," Kharvex said with a smile. "But I have conquered hundreds of worlds under my belt."

"You’re right, I haven’t heard of you," Thirteen replied. "But you’ve heard of me."

Kharvex paused for a brief moment before laughing out loud.

"That small win really gave you balls, huh?" Kharvex pointed at the human starting to get into his nerves. "Tell me, how do you want to die? Are those girls your lovers?

"How about I cut off your hands and feet, then let you witness how they are defiled by my minions? Many Heroes broke after seeing their lovers’ debauched faces as they fell into corruption."

"""Kharvex! Kharvex! Kharvex!"""

The Infernal Army chanted, knowing their Commander had truly done what he had stated. They would never forget how those Heroes begged for them to stop as their precious lovers were stripped naked, defiled in front of them.

Tiona and Stella glared at the Demigod but didn’t make any move to provoke him any further. They understood that one wrong mistake could make the situation spiral out of control.

Zaphiel chuckled as he shifted his attention to the Celestials and Fiends, who all had serious expressions on their faces.

"Last chance, my friends," Zaphiel spread his arms as if he planned to welcome everyone to his side. "Are you with me or against me? Think wisely. I promise you that even that Immortal Lizard over there will regret his own immortality after I’m done with him."

The Celestials and Fiends ignored Zaphiel and shifted their attention to the Demigod-Ranked Infernals. If they unleashed their seals, they would also be able to fight them on their own level, so they weren’t too worried about them.

They were more concerned about the red portal continuously expanding and sending Infernals into their world. If they can’t find a way to close that gap in the sky, their chances of winning were zero even if they were to succeed in killing the three Demigods before them.

"I know what you’re all thinking." Zaphiel smirked. "But as you can see, it will be futile resistance. I will repeat myself—this is your last chance to join me. When we start fighting, I will no longer entertain your surrender."

Camazotz glanced at the teenage boy, who was stifling a yawn. The Death Bat wanted to ask Zion if he had a backup plan ready.

Ever since the Death Bat met him, the teenage boy had created one miracle after another.

"Hey, Thirteen, do you have a way out of this mess?" Camazotz whispered. "Because if not, I’m going back to the Domain of the Apocalypse."

"Are you scared, Camazotz?" Thirteen asked.

"You bet I am!" Camazotz replied. "Just look at my hands, they’re shaking like crazy!"

The Death Bat showed his hand that was indeed trembling, which made Zion chuckle.

Frankly, if he wasn’t the System of Cannon Fodders and had witnessed similar scenes in the past, he might have also been as scared as Camazotz.

While everyone else in the battlefield were feeling helpless, he alone remained steadfast.

From the very start, Thirteen already knew that there was a third party that was goading this whole series of events from behind.

It could have been the Army of Destruction.

It could have been the Undertakers.

Of course, he also considered the Infernals, as well as any other cosmic threats in the multiverse.

But compared to what the Goddess of Fate had shown him, this army couldn’t even hold a candle to that... thing that was slowly starting to awaken.

That primordial being whom even the Gods in the Temple of the Ten Thousand Gods feared.

"Just calm down and trust me," Thirteen said. "I’ll take care of these kids in a while."

The members of the Order looked at the "kid" who said that he would take care of the other "kids" that had the power to turn them all to meat paste.

Tiona smiled wryly because she was the only one who understood that Thirteen wasn’t joking.

After seeing that the Celestials or Fiends seemed to have made up their mind to fight, the teenage boy spoke once more.

"Your name is Kharvex, right?" Thirteen looked at the Demigod who looked the most intimidating among all the Demigods that had crossed over to Solterra.

"It’s a good thing you remember the name of the Infernal who will personally turn your life into a living hell," Kharvex replied. "Do you have any last words, Zion Leventis, who thinks that he’s special? Someone who thinks that he can surpass the Gods and Heroes who have perished under our feet?"

"You want to hear some last words?" Thirteen asked for confirmation.

"Yes." Kharvex nodded. "It’s the least I can do before I turn your world upside down."

"Well, in that case, I only have three words for you," Thirteen replied.

"Only three words?" Kharvex chuckled. "Feel free to say more. After all, speaking is free."

Thirteen returned the Infernal’s smile before saying his last words to Kharvex.

"Bye Bye, F*cker."

A second later, a giant blue portal appeared hundreds of meters above Zion’s head, and a beam of light emerged from it.

Kharvex didn’t even have a chance to scream as Thirteen’s secret weapon, Athena’s Full Powered Beam Strike—all the way from Pangea, disintegrated the Demigod, as well as the army right behind his back.
