Chapter 1463: We’re Not Scared Of A Few Demigods!
Chapter 1463: We’re Not Scared Of A Few Demigods!
A full-powered laser beam shot out from the blue portal that appeared several meters above Thirteen’s head. Before everyone could even register what just happened, Kharvex and the Infernal Army right behind him were already annihilated.
Even as their bodies dissipated into the air as dust, no one had yet to react.
Zaphiel stood frozen in place, wondering if the view before him was mere illusion.
A Demigod died just like that, and he couldn’t even do anything to defend himself. As everyone reeled from the shock, a chilling voice reached their ears, making them shudder.
"Okay, so who wants to die next?" Thirteen asked. "Speak up. I don’t have all day."
The teenage boy had his arms crossed over his chest, staring at the two other Demigods as if they were insects. Earlier they were laughing at him, but now, their bravado was gone.
"H-Hahahaha!" Camazotz laughed before standing beside Zion. "Fools! Do you see now?! This is the power of the Order of the Apocalypse! You dare defy us?! We are the World Enders! You call yourselves Infernals? more like Inferiors!"
The Majin Kings, Majin Princes, and Princesses all looked at the Death Bat before fixing their posture.
Beelzebub planted the tip of his sword on the ground and stared at the Infernal army with arrogance.
Although they didn’t really get what exactly happened, Thirteen was one of them anyway. Didn’t that make Camazotz’s words true?
"It’s been a while since I fought in a grand stage like this," Beelzebub said in arrogance. "I guess it’s time for you all to understand the might of our organization."
"Indeed." Baal lightly patted the shield in his arm. "We have been silent for a long time that these so-called Infernals think they could walk over us like they own the place? Simply courting death."
"So what if they have a Great Warlord?" Zagan sneered, while the divine mace in his hand hummed with power. "We are backed by a God. We’re not scared of a few Demigods!"
The other members of the Order of the Apocalypse looked at the three Majin Kings, the strongest in their group, and understood that they were simply riding on Thirteen’s coattails.
After glancing at each other, they decided to follow suit!
Hey! They were in the same organization, so what belonged to Thirteen, also belonged to them!
"You guys should prepare yourselves for trouble," Kamrusepa said darkly.
"And make it double," Paimon giggled. "No. Make that a Tridecagon."
Since there were thirteen seats in the Order of the Apocalypse, a tridecagon fit them perfectly.
One by one, the members of the Order raised their voices, and gazed at the Infernal army in arrogance.
After what happened earlier, the Infernals now felt intimidated by the weaklings whom they looked down on earlier.
The atmosphere was filled with tension. Forneus, Dantanian, and Cranky all moved to Thirteen’s side, ready to defend him at all cost.
They understood that if there was someone who could turn the tide of battle in their favor, it was none other than the teenage boy that was standing fearlessly against the Infernal Army.
"I see... now I understand why those who invaded Artem failed," One of the two remaining Demigods, Eryndor, stated. "It seems like you really have the ability to back your words."
Thirteen simply glanced at the Demigod, and a second later, another beam of light erupted from the portal behind him.
This time, the Demigod was prepared, so he used his life-saving artifact to escape, or at least, that was his plan.
He activated his artifact, but he inexplicably remained rooted in place, unable to move!
The Demigod wasn’t even able to utter a scream before his body disintegrated, alongside the Infernals right behind him. From now on, they existed on no face of the multiverse.
The battle formation of the Infernal Army that, which thoroughly covered the vast sky, now had two gigantic holes that were at least a hundred meters wide.
That was the aftermath of Athena firing two of her beam attacks, making the Infernal Army tremble in fear.
Before Thirteen left Pangea, he tweaked Athena’s output, and set it to maximum. This further amplified her beam attack, condensing the power of ten suns.
Even a Demigod wouldn’t be able to survive a direct hit from such force, resulting in complete annihilation.
When Eryndor tried to escape earlier, Thirteen activated his magical formation that prevented everyone from leaving his established territory.
Any kind of escape artifact that could instantly teleport their users away would be nullified.
Thirteen also used a binding spell to hold the Demigod in place. Though it only lasted for a very short time, it was more than enough to kill another Demigod in the blink of an eye.
"I was kind enough to give him the opportunity to say his last words," Thirteen said in a teasing tone. "But it seems that he didn’t use it properly. Oh, well... whose next?"
He then shifted his gaze to the last Demigod, who subconsciously took a step back from his gaze.
Although Athena’s firepower had greatly improved, its ammunition was limited to only three shots only.
Thirteen had already used two of them, and only one remained.
"I-Infernal Army!" the last Demigod shouted. "Attaaaaa—Aaaaaaack!"
The Demigod wasn’t able to finish whatever he was going to say before he, too, was hit by Athena’s beam strike.
Thirteen didn’t only target the Demigods during his three strikes earlier, he made sure that the Celestial-Ranked Infernals were also hit.
Right now, only five of those Celestial-Ranked Infernals remain, and their earlier bravado was nowhere to be found.
In fact, as soon as Thirteen gazed at the remaining Celestial-Ranked Infernals, all of them fled in haste and flew back up to the red portal in the sky.
But an angry roar that came from their warlord stopped them in their tracks.
"Deserters will be killed!" the Warlord Arkael roared. "Fight or die by my hands!"
The warlord glared at Zion from the other side of the portal. If not for the fact that he couldn’t cross over to Solterra, he would have personally fought the one who killed his three Commanders!
Thirteen also felt regretful, for Athena no longer had any ammunition. If he still had one shot, he would take a gamble and make sure the giant eye peering at him from the other side of the portal would be obliterated by one of his most powerful Trump Cards.
The Infernal Army’s morale dropped to rock bottom, but since they had no choice but to fight, they prepared themselves for battle.
The members of the Order of the Apocalypse, on the other hand, now felt emboldened after seeing Thirteen’s powerful display.
"Warriors of Beelzebub, rally to me!" Beelzebub shouted and over a dozen purple portals appeared behind him.
The army he had carefully raised over the past hundreds of years emerged from the purple portal and glared at the Infernal Army in the sky.
"Come my Legionaires!" Baal raised his hand. "The time to kill has come!"
"Brave knights of Zagan, hear my summons!" Zagan roared.
All the members of the apocalypse now summoned their full armies. Dozens of purple portals emerged above the Fortunate Isles.
Thirteen clapped his hands twice, and a transparent platform appeared above the sea, allowing the armies of the Order of the Apocalypse to stand on top of it.
Forneus couldn’t help but be impressed by the powerful lineup.
Dantanian, the Celestials, and the Fiends also wondered why such a powerful organization had been unheard of until now.
Although they didn’t have Celestials or Fiends leading them, the sheer number of their armies made Zaphiel’s Celestial Army look like a joke!
"Let’s rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Camazotz shouted and led the attack.
Cranky smirked and followed one of his little brothers to battle to ensure that he wouldn’t accidentally die from a Celestial’s stray attack.
Forneus, Dantanian, and Wormwood also joined the fray alongside the members of the Apocalypse.
This time, Apollyon no longer watched and flew toward Zaphiel, intending to beat some sense into the bastard who had allied himself with invaders that came from the Void.
Screams, roars, and war cries reverberated in the surroundings. Bloody rain fell from the heavens as the Infernal Army and the Army of the Apocalypse tore each other.
