Chapter 1505: I Am Never Alone! [Part 2]
Chapter 1505: I Am Never Alone! [Part 2]
"You’re right. I am a System," Thirteen stated. "I am just one of the cogs in a machine that allows the world to move according to its designed purpose. But you’re wrong about one thing.
"Wrong?!" Deus Ex Machina laughed in anger. "Are you saying you can beat [????] With what?! Your confidence? Your will? Your existence?"
As if to prove his point, countless abominations had started to gather on the other side of the transparent universe. Some of these creatures had already tore apart the thin lining that separated both universes from each other.
Suddenly, giant abominations appeared on the other side and forced their way into their world, breaking the final barrier blocking them.
At their appearance, the expression of the System God turned pale. However, Thirteen’s words forced Deus Ex Machina to shift his attention back to him.
Facing off against overwhelming odds that seemed impossible to overcome, those who had weaker wills froze in place.
And at that moment, Thirteen’s words reached everyone’s ears.
"Pops," Thirteen smiled faintly before shifting his attention to the giant alien abominations that were starting to cross over to their side. "He who can’t bet on himself can’t win against Fate. Also, you’re wrong. I’m not fighting alone."
One by one, countless beams of light streaked across the universe.
They were the Heroic Spirits that had realized the danger their realm was about to face, and they had come to help fight against the incoming threat together.
But among those countless lights, a certain Heroic Spirit landed on Thirteen’s left side.
Sun Wukong gave the young lady in his best friend’s arms a glance before giving the young man a thumbs up.
Thirteen smiled and returned the thumbs up. Unlike his innocent no-good father, his sworn brother quickly understood what was going on.
Suddenly, a cute yet powerful shout spread in the heavens, inviting attention into the giant pirate ship sailing across the sky.
"Ei!" Eiko and her pirate ship moved to hover behind her Papa’s benefactor, Thirteen.
The baby slime looked at the approaching enemies not with fear, but with determination to do battle.
Meanwhile, a black coffin materialized a few meters away from Thirteen. Its lid opened up, and a red-headed Half-Elf walked out of it with a smile on his face.
"It’s been a while, Thirteen," Lux Von Kaizer greeted with a smile.
"You look much better now," Thirteen replied. "You resolved your problems?"
"Yes," Lux nodded. "All thanks to your help. So this time, I will help you with yours."
"Thanks." Thirteen smiled.
The Necromancer of Heaven stood by Thirteen’s right side and looked at the "Outer Worlders" that were sent by the "Outer Gods" of the parallel universe as an advance raiding party.
As someone who had stared death in the face, the Half-Elf looked very calm. It was like he was a tourist about to start his sightseeing tour.
Just as the enemies were starting to amass themselves in great numbers, a silver spear flew across their ranks, annihilating everything in a straight line.
This was the same silver spear that saved Thirteen in an earlier battle, solving the mystery of who had saved him at that time.
When the silver spear returned to James’ hand, he raised it high to the sky, and a bridge of light appeared above him.
The Bifrost Bridge had connected the world of Solterra and the world of Hestia, allowing its Champion to cross over to their side instantly.
When a Red-Headed Half-Elf appeared on the bridge, Thirteen immediately recognized him as Stella’s father, William Von Ainsworth.
He was the God Slayer, and the creatures crossing over to their side were fair game to him.
Both William and James crossed their arms over their chest, acting like two Gatekeepers who would not allow anything to get past them.
Behind them, the Einherjars also appeared en masse, ready to fight like they did during Ragnarok.
Across the void a giant creature emerged. It was none other than the Guardian of Eternity, Ouroborous.
Riding behind his back was a young man with long blue hair fluttering in the breeze.
He was holding a trident in his hand, and his eyes were calm and serene. Just like the sea before a storm. His name was Ethan Gremory, and he had also come to protect those who were important to him.
Thirteen then raised his own hand towards the heavens, calling out to his people.
And then it happened.
The multiverse shook.
Amongst the countless worlds in creation, people of different races raised their hands to the sky.
Their Champion was once again asking for their help, and they answered his call.
The power of Faith.
The power that created miracles washed over the multiverse like a raging tide.
It was heading to the System of Cannon Fodders, who believed that everyone, whether they were Heroes, Villains, Cannon Fodders, and Extras, have the right to have a happy ending.
And he would ensure that they would have that ending.
Three halos appeared above Thirteen’s head, and they merged together as one. A blinding flash of light emerged from his back, creating an aurora of colors that served as his wings.
"I am never alone!" Thirteen declared, and all the powerhouses of the multiverse gathered to fight by his side.
"Let’s rumble," William said coldly. He moved in an instant, quickly annihilating all the Outer Worlders just to vent out his frustration at the sight of his darling daughter hugging Thirteen like a koala.
"Sounds good." Lux waved his hand. All the Infernals and the Wanderers, as well as all the lives that died in the battle earlier, were all revived as High-Ranking Undeads.
Their souls returned to their bodies, giving them an opportunity to fight for their realm one last time.
The young man with long blue hair pointed his trident at the Outer Worlders, and his Ouroborous gave a mighty roar.
"Sing with me!" Ethan shouted. "Illumina!"
Behind him, the mermaid princess, his lover, manifested, ready to battle by his side.
Thirteen then calmly patted the back of the young lady in his arms, and she finally left his embrace.
She then summoned a bow and gave Thirteen one last kiss on the cheek before facing the enemies that had dared to enter her domain.
"Let’s go." Thirteen took a single step forward.
And in that single step, all the Heroes, Villains, Cannon Fodders, and Extras of the universe moved to fight as one.
Historians all around the universe would fondly remember this day as the Battle of Conquerors. A tale that would be shared from one generation to the next, until the end of time.
