Chapter 1506: Echo In Eternity [Part 1]
Chapter 1506: Echo In Eternity [Part 1]
Countless High-Ranking Undead charged at the incoming Outer Worlders, serving as the vanguard.
It hadn’t been that long since they died, so their souls returned to their bodies, including the two Pseudo-Gods that Thirteen had brutally obliterated.
Their bodies had been reformed, and their heads regenerated. And now, they fought with greater ferocity than they were still alive.
Amidst this battle, a baby blue slime rode on top of a black coffin. Eiko personally targeted the strongest Outer Worlders, prioritizing killing them.
She flew deep within the enemy formation, for her attacks were too lethal and could affect her allies.
The deeper she went, the less she worried about friendly fire, and the more devastating her attacks grew.
Eiko’s strongest bombs were equivalent to the strongest nukes humanity ever possessed.
Wherever she threw her Blast Bomb, mass destruction would follow suit.
The coffin she was riding on, Blackfire, was a Divine Artifact. If a monster came too close for comfort, it would slap them with countless dark hands and send them flying.
Fighting not far from her was William.
When he fought against Thirteen, he still held back since he didn’t want to accidentally kill him.
Truth be told, among everyone fighting at the scene, William’s offensive firepower was the highest.
Not only was he killing everything in his path with his spear, countless divine weapons also circled around him, attacking autonomously.
He also simultaneously cast spells at the same time. Despite his skill in multitasking, someone still dared to nag him at the time.
[You became rusty, Will.]
"Shut up, Optimus," William replied, not pausing his one-sided massacre. "Even your little brother has joined the fight. What about you? Can’t do anything but nag? Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? You’re supposed to be the strongest system!"
[Fine. I’ll show you what I can do.]
An orb of light escaped William’s chest and transformed into a giant... G*ndam!
The moment it appeared, all of its cannons fired at once, erasing vast swaths of abominations in its path.
Even Eiko looked at the giant robot with sparkling eyes. It wished its best friend, the Dim Sum God, Dim Dim, could also see the giant robot going Boom Boom!
Far away from William, Eiko, and Optimus, Thirteen glanced in the direction where the beam of light had come from.
"Did you see that, Pops?" Thirteen asked as he fought back to back with his no-good father. "Even Number One is more useful than you. Can you not drag us down?"
"Shut up, you damned brat!" Deus Ex Machina replied as he obliterated dozens of abominations with the golden gears that hovered around his body. "Gods cannot unleash their full might in battles like this unless another God appears."
"Ahh... So if an Outer God appears, will you handle it?" Thirteen inquired.
"..."
"To think you can’t even beat an Outer God on your own. Old man, you have skill issues."
"Just shut up, and continue fighting!"
Stella and Fate, who shared the same body, couldn’t help but smile as she unleashed countless arrows from her bow, while listening to the banter of the no-good father-son pair.
Even she was surprised. These powerful entities were supposed to be powerful enough to destroy the universe, yet they were resisting just fine.
The Gods were powerful, but their hands were tied. There was a limit to the power they could use, for they might suffer a harsh backlash that would cripple them for thousands of years.
Right now, Deus Ex Machina was only fighting with the strength of a Demigod. Any higher than that, and he would face consequences he wasn’t willing to take.
The Goddess watched as the dead Abominations were revived once more by the Necromancer of Heaven, Lux Von Kaizer. This time, the undead abominations fought other abominations, increasing the undead army.
Even Erasmus, the Death Lord, couldn’t help but be awed at Lux’s powers. It had reached the level of divinity.
"See, Pops?" Thirteen said with a smirk. "You Gods keep on underestimating humanity. Have you all forgotten you personally summoned them to fight on your behalf when the worlds are in danger?"
Deus Ex Machina wanted to retort by saying that the humans fighting alongside them were simply outliers and did not represent the ordinary humans!
Even so, he simply focused on fighting. He understood that soon, the Outer Gods would cross over and join the fight.
Those beings were his main concern.
In fact, it wasn’t only him.
The other Gods in the Celestial Realm also paid close attention to this battle.
As soon as the Outer Gods appeared, they, too, would join the fight!
Suddenly, everyone felt it.
A pressure that made them feel like a giant mountain was about to drop over their heads.
"They’re here," Fate said softly.
Deus Ex Machina nodded and looked at the other side of the universe.
A creature the size of a planet emerged from the other side, bringing with it more abominations that made the first wave pale in comparison.
The most notable feature of this Outer God was its two gigantic eyes, as well as the countless tentacles wriggling around its body. It was a truly horrible sight.
They were the first Primordial Gods of the "old universe."
Unlike the Gods of the Temple of the Ten Thousand Gods who had refined features, the Outer Gods were creatures who moved on instinct.
Seeing this, Deus Ex Machina glanced at his no-good son, wanting to see how he would react after seeing an Outer God in the flesh.
He wanted Thirteen to truly understand the consequences of his actions, giving him the opportunity to tell him, "See? I told you so!"
Fate also glanced at her lover, curious about how he would react to the threat that not even Gods could handle on their own.
But instead of the reaction they expected, Thirteen only blinked.
"That’s it?" Thirteen asked in disbelief. "You two are scared silly by that thing?"
Deus Ex Machina was about to flip in anger. His no-good son really dared to refer to an Outer God as "that thing" as if it was just a common pest that could be seen anywhere.
However, just as he was about to shout at him, a pained cry spread across the battlefield, making everyone who heard it tremble.
