Chapter 1514: After Story: A Promising Future

The Goddess of Fate had a tender look on her face as she lightly pressed her hand on her abdomen.

When she woke up about an hour ago, she noticed a very faint presence inside of her womb.

At first, she thought she had sensed it wrong, but after using her powers, she confirmed that last night’s lovemaking with Zion had finally borne fruit.

The Goddess then glanced at the young man beside her and observed his peaceful sleeping face.

She never thought that there would come a time when she and Thirteen would get married, much less that she would conceive his child.

They had been married for six months, but even after the honeymoon ended, all of his lovers had yet to get pregnant with his child.

That was quite understandable. Thirteen had evolved into a superior being after his body had been remodeled by the Goddess.

This meant that it would not be as easy for any of his wives to get pregnant, unless they had a special constitution.

Of course, pregnancy was still possible since they were Wanderers. This meant that their bodies had also evolved to surpass the limits of humanity.

Princess Aracelle and Princess Xynalia were both Jinns. They were also more than capable of birthing Thirteen’s child.

They had once mentioned their bodies were still adapting to receive his essence properly, so that they could bear his children.

They even said that it might take them a year before they could conceive his child.

As for Stella, she was already born with a blessed physique because her parents were very powerful individuals.

And now that the Goddess of Fate had merged with her body, it was only natural for her to get pregnant with Thirteen’s child.

This also meant that she would bear his First Born, which made the Goddess feel a little special.

’So this is how life begins,’ the Goddess thought. ’I’m sure Stella will be surprised when she wakes up later.’

Since their souls had merged together, they could take turns in taking control of their body.

Their senses were also shared, so whenever Thirteen made love with one of them, both of them would feel it regardless of who was in command of the body at that time.

Right now, Stella was still asleep in their Sea of Consciousness, still drained after that night of lovemaking.

Knowing her, she would probably wake up at around noon, allowing Fate to have more time to enjoy this special moment.

The Goddess smiled faintly. She could already imagine how surprised her Other Half would be after she heard the news of their pregnancy.

Just as she was imagining Stella’s reaction to the news, she sensed the movement of the young man sleeping by her side.

She watched as her husband opened his eyes, and looked at her with a tender smile.

"Good mornin—mnn..."

The Goddess didn’t let the young man finish his greeting as she lowered her head to kiss his lips.

The kiss only lasted for a few seconds, but it woke Thirteen up completely.

He could sense that the one that was in command of his wife’s body was the Goddess because Stella wasn’t this bold.

In fact, the moment the two of them had become lovers, it was always the Goddess of Fate who took the initiative to make love with Zion.

This was why the young man made a mental note to never underestimate thousand-year-old virgins, who had realized what falling in love truly meant.

"Waking up like this isn’t such a bad thing," Thirteen said with a smile after their kiss ended. "What happened? You seem quite proactive so early in the morning. Don’t tell me you still hadn’t had your fill last night?"

The young man then playfully rubbed his wife’s abdomen. Since both of them were naked, he couldn’t help but admire her beautiful body, which was filled with youthful strength.

"Alright, tell me the reason why you look happy." Thirteen hugged her gently. "Did you have a good dream? Did you perhaps dream of me?"

"Why would I dream of you?" Fate asked back, her voice sounded amused.

"Then why do you seem to be in a good mood?"

"Make a guess."

"Hmm... did we succeed in making a baby last night?"

Thirteen just asked the first thing that came to his head. But when the Goddess smiled and nodded her head cutely, the young man’s eyes widened in shock.

"You’re not joking, right?" Thirteen’s tone became serious.

"I’m not joking." Thirteen shook her head. "Congratulations, Papa."

The young man stared at her face as if to make sure that she wasn’t joking. After confirming that she wasn’t pranking him, his hand then moved to gently touch her abdomen, right above her womb.

Thirteen felt four emotions at once.

Surprise, happiness, sadness, and anxiety.

He was happy that Stella, also known as Kate, was once again pregnant with his child.

Sad because this wasn’t the first time this happened.

Anxious because it was his second time becoming a father, and yet... he never even got the chance to hold his firstborn due to Kate’s tragic fate.

Perhaps seeing his reaction, Fate understood what he was feeling. Because of this, she reached out to hug him and pulled her close to her.

"This time, it will be different." Fate vowed. "I will not allow anyone to intervene."

Thirteen closed his eyes, and hugged her back. "Yes. This time, it will be different. I will not allow anything to happen to you and our unborn child."

But the Goddess could still feel his worry through the faint trembling of his body. In order to ease his worries, she pulled back and kissed his cheek.

"Let me show you something," Fate said softly before waving her hand.

A projection appeared in front of them, showing a young lady who seemed to be inside a classroom.

Thirteen looked at her closely, but he couldn’t recognize her. She didn’t look like any of his hosts or any people he had met as a System of Cannon Fodders.

In order to make sure, he searched the data in his soul core, which only lasted for ten seconds.

Just as he was about to ask Fate who the young lady was, a thought suddenly popped inside Thirteen’s head.

"Don’t tell me she is..." Thirteen couldn’t finish his words because he was afraid to know the answer to his question.

"It is who you think it is." Fate nodded. "The soul of your unborn child with Kate. Although she is not born with your flesh and blood, you can still consider her as your non-biological daughter."

Thirteen could now understand why his heart started to beat fast as he looked at the young lady in the projection.

He wanted to reach out to hold her.

He wanted to see her.

He wanted to talk to her.

But he understood that if he did that, she would just think of him as a suspicious person.

"Don’t worry. The two of you are destined to meet," Fate said with confidence. "I guarantee it."

"Are you sure?" Thirteen asked.

"You don’t trust your wife?" Fate arched an eyebrow.

"I do trust you." Thirteen nodded.

"Then just wait. Sooner or later, the two of you will meet." Fate hugged her husband. "But make sure to hold back. Don’t tell her she’s your daughter because that will only confuse her."

"I won’t," Thirteen promised. "I just want to meet her. Together with Kate."

"Mmm." Fate nodded before glancing at the young lady in the projection before a mischievous thought came across her mind.

She then waved his hand a second time, showing a handsome young man with short, silver hair through the projection.

As soon as Thirteen saw him, he immediately understood who he was supposed to be.

"Can I kill him?" Thirteen asked, which made the Goddess laugh out loud.

"Of course not, silly," Fate replied after she finished laughing. "Do you plan to make her sad? I should have known you’d be the overprotective father type. I just hope that my baby is not going to be a girl. I fear she might grow up single."

Thirteen took a deep breath before hugging his wife.

"It doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or a boy," Thirteen said. "As long as they are born safe and healthy, I won’t ask for anything more."

"I’ll do my best," Fate nodded.

A faint smile hung on her lips as she looked forward to raising her children alongside her husband.

She never thought she would feel this happy in her lifetime, enjoying the warmth and love of the person who had once dared to defy her.

And for the first time, the future no longer felt like something distant and uncertain.

Because now, no matter what trials awaited them, they would face it together, and overcome the challenges that stood in their way.
