Chapter 470- Revelation (2)
Chapter 470: Chapter 470- Revelation (2)
Divine light flashed briefly within Reinahrdt’s irises, peeling back illusions, lies, and reality itself. And then the visions crashed in.
The place was a pitch black chamber. Diana was chained, both of her hands bound to the pillar adjacent to her. Below her lay a large formation with complex runes and designs.
As the formation rotated, he could see Diana’s eyes slowly losing focus and becoming what they were now. This was the spell that was cast on her. A hypnosis.
However, it was no ordinary hypnosis, but something far more insidious. A Sovereign level spell wielded by only the highest of the demons. A power capable of rewriting identity and grafting commands directly onto the soul.
Reinhardt’s eyes became a little grave. The next second, the scene shifted. Now it was the corridors of the Underground Vault.
Diana walked forward, in her hand was the key that opened the Underground Vault. The royal guards who were alerted hurriedly, tried to stop her. However, before they could even get near, a soft pink light exuded out of her body, stopping the guards and pulling them towards the world of the dreams.
While all this happened, there was no emotion on Diana’s face, only an ominous pink glow.
She disarmed all the traps using the royal key and stepped towards the Abyssal Compass, breaking the artefact sealing it. The dormant Ultimate Demonic Treasure was partially awakened; demonic energy oozed out of it in droves.
This was the trigger that later caused the battle of the Underground Vault, where the Royal Lion Guards, Knights of Lunar Veil, and Reinhardt’s Temple of Light participated to seal the Abyssal Compass.
The perpetrator was not the Organisation, but Diana.
Right after, the scene shifted again. This time, it was a meeting place in some hidden chamber. The high ranking demon that he had just killed earlier was bowing before Diana as she stood there unmoving.
It was whispering some kind of instructions into her quiet, blank ears.
More visions flickered in front of Reinhardt, fragmented glimpses of all the acts that were orchestrated from the shadows. All their actions and schemes had a single motive... him.
A scene was in the midst of playing out in front of him when suddenly, everything froze. It was for a second, but the vision he was seeing glitched. And then she appeared.
A being of unparalleled authority and seduction. A presence that the Compass recognised as its master. A figure of breathtaking beauty: pink hair, amethyst horns, and eyes that held the very abyss itself.
Reinhardt’s eyes narrowed. The person who appeared was not Diana. Nor was it the high ranking demon or any pawn.
But the mastermind behind everything that befell the capital. The Queen made her appearance.
As if sensing his gaze through time itself, her figure in the vision turned slowly. And for an instant... she smiled.
The world crashed, and the vision stopped there. Reinhardt’s eyes snapped open, the golden glow slowly fading away.
"So that’s how it is..." His expression slowly turned cold.
He now had the full picture; however, the pieces of the puzzle still did not fit. To be absolutely sure, he had to meet with the person herself and hear it from her own mouth.
One could imagine the kind of aura a man as powerful as Reinhardt radiated when he got angry.
GULP... The squires swallowed as the temperature around their commander dropped sharply. Although no frost formed, it was the kind of cold that came not from ice, but from the pressure of his powerful stats.
Of course, Reinhardt did not stay like this. Once the vision was over, he returned back to his usual self. A sigh escaped his lips as he glanced at Diana.
Now that he had seen through her memories, he understood why she did what she did. Even though he was standing in front of her, her hollow eyes didn’t even flicker. She was breathing, but barely, and her soul... it was shackled in a chain of spells so complex and powerful that it would prove difficult even for the Saintess to break it.
Of course, no matter how powerful a spell it was, as long as it was demonic or evil in nature, he was its very bane. Reinhardt placed his hand gently over her head.
"[Sacred Benediction]."
At that instant, light arrived. A single beam descended from the heavens, piercing stone, space, and even dimension as if they were made of paper. The light fell on Diana’s limp body, bathing her in a soft, pure warmth.
With the descent of light, a feather drifted down. The moment the feather touched her, the corruption screamed. Black liquid came out of her seven orifices, burning away like black snow.
The demonic chains that were binding her soul cracked. As for the Sovereign level spell, it might have been ancient and absolute, but when it came in contact with a force far more powerful than it, it shattered like thin glass.
"Ungh~" Diana groaned. The next second, she started coughing and inhaled deep breaths of air as if finally freed from a suffocating hold. Her eyes also regained their colour, trembling in confusion at first, then becoming moist with tears.
Looking at her, it seemed like she had just woken up from a long nightmare. With no strength, her body slumped forward.
Reinhardt quickly caught her and muttered gently, "Don’t worry, you are safe now."
Thanks to his divine presence and firm hold, the trembling of the girl stopped, and she quickly drifted off to sleep.
"Watch over her," saying that, he passed her gently into Karina’s arms. He had healed Diana with [Sacred Benediction], so she should be alright.
With that, he was done here. The squad gathered around, still breathless from everything they had witnessed. Reinhardt’s gaze swept across them.
"Listen carefully. Everything you saw here... keep it to yourselves. Speak of it to no one. Is that understood?" His words were like commands, irrefutable.
The squires stiffened and nodded hard.
Seeing that they understood, he began walking towards the exit.
"Commander... where are you going?" Rolan questioned.
"To resolve everything."
