This was organized and premeditated. Once they broke through Building 5, they would then engulf Buildings 1-3. The fate of the members was predictable. 

While fireworks were blooming, he kept shouting into the walkie-talkie, but there was no response. 

Seeing the fireworks, instead of being discouraged, the rioters accelerated their assaults. 

Tonight was the best opportunity; they intended to seize and occupy Aoyuan completely before the military arrived.
