Chapter 948: Chapter 946-Helping Hand.

’Even like this, she looks hot.’

I thought as I gazed at the transformed Angelina in front of me, looking like the true demon she is. As she did, I could feel the vulnerability that passed through her as she showed her true self; the attraction between the different species of ours is not always guaranteed after all. For her current looks, she could perhaps make me feel disgusted or not like her at all, thus I could tell she made this decision with the fear of my reaction.

Thus, I looked at her now standing in front of her chair, her eyes landing on me, looking at me with apprehension. This is what. I looked at her from top to bottom, after which, with a gentle smile, I replied.

"You look stunning."

My words were as truthful as they come, and the moment she heard them, a wide smile came to the face of Angelina, one of relief and happiness, seemingly accepting the fact that I still found the real her as attractive as they come. And it’s true; while she does look less like a human, she is indeed beautiful and seductive in her own way.

"I knew it!"

Angelina shouted with a smile as she jumped over the table to hug me, and I quickly stood up and dodged. The only thing she ended up doing was lying on the sofa, her tail swinging dangerously. As she fell on the sofa, she looked back at me with a pout on her face.

"Meanie."

She spoke with a pout, and that was very cute, I have to tell you. Though for now, I kept a wry smile on my face as I replied.

"I can take up many of your antics, Angelina, but there is a limit also. I can understand that you are interested in me, but right now in my life, I have more important things to focus on."

My words made Angelina’s pout only get bigger. As she dusted herself off from the sofa, she looked at me with a smile.

"Yes, I am interested in you. You can see it from how I react around you, and I know that you have suffered a lot..."

Angelina’s words trailed off at the end, but that only made my eyes widen, my expression betraying my surprise, after which I struggled to get it back. I, seemingly a bit shaken as I held myself, replied to her.

"You don’t know anything, and being with me will only bring pain."

My words had deeper meaning to them, but to someone like Angelina, who had ’seen’ my past, knew I am a hero, my sufferings, and all that I showed her, would understand it better. Her expression turned to one filled with worry, sadness, and concern as she tried to walk closer to me, but I took a step back, seemingly filled with unsaid emotions.

"Maybe, but I know more than you think, and what if I am ready to suffer with you?"

Angelina suddenly asked with a serious expression, her question making me look at her with surprise again as, gazing into those pink eyes, I seemed to be taken aback. After which, regaining my sense of calm, I replied.

"It doesn’t matter. I have no interest in diving into any of this, and I would prefer if we could stop talking about this and get to the matter at hand."

My expression was serious and filled with conviction as I said this, and Angelina could understand that pushing further anymore would not be good for her, but she was also not willing to let go like this. Thus, regaining a sense of seriousness on her face, she spoke.

"Fine, but I want something. I want some time with you."

Her words made me look at her with a piercing gaze, but she didn’t back down. She looked at me, filled with her own conviction, to which, after a moment, I replied.

"Sigh... fine, that I can do."

My words earned a beautiful smile from her, which even made my heart beat faster. After this time, Angelina took everything seriously and talked it all out. After which, I decided to leave, though as I was, Angelina suddenly caught my hand, holding me for a moment, after which she leaned in to kiss my cheek, a small touch, which quickly brought a wide blush to her face, looking quite divine as I left the place.

’A woman filled with contradictions.’

I thought, Angelina, in a sense, wants pure love for her to survive on, one not filled with lust, yet when she is in love, she is using the limit of her ability to use lust to get my attention. Such a wide range of hypocrisy is quite entertaining, not to mention that when she does something romantic, she melts like butter in the sun.

’Cute in her own way.’

Though the fun part will be when we start dating, and the bloodline changes I made in her will start to act up, because I can tell even now that her expression when I talk to other women or when other women flirt with me will be quite the scene to see. I mean, jealousy and arousal with her combinations would be one hell of a scene to deal with.

’Future... future...’

Calming myself, I walked through the street, moving around to meet the other demon for a talk. This dude himself had set up another secret meeting place in his own private controlled area. Thus, entering the room, I caught sight of Ron waiting for me with a light smile. Even this dude looked a bit lost with dark circles under his eyes as he walked toward me.

"It’s good to see you, friend."

He said as we hugged each other.

"It’s good to see you, too."

My reply made him smile as he took a seat, and some expensive delights spread across the table as the two of us, looking at each other, started to talk. It was small, light dude talks, just speaking about life, how everything is going, and talking away like two normal male friends in the world. The talk itself went forth for an hour.

There were from stupid talks to no-value talks, and each of us had a light, relaxed smile as we pretended like the world wasn’t on fire. We ate some snacks in between and just enjoyed ourselves like normal people. Soon, though, our talks headed toward the important part.

"So, here is my plan..."

As I said this, the faction leader, Ron, came to action, my plan being laid out in the correct order as Ron took it all in. He accepted the plan, nodding his head, after which we discussed some more things as I left the place. The smile that stayed on my face disappeared a bit as I just stood in place for a moment, my mind whirling through the words Ron spoke.

While we talked like normal people, he added certain words, mainly the word he used as a panic indicator, which meant that our talks were being listened to. This was why, during the talks, I had to give Ron the false plan, something different from what we would all be really doing.

’That’s low, Girika.’

My eyes flashed as I took in what had happened. I had the info, but I also wanted to test what Ron would do, and he did not disappoint me. Since he decided to place his trust in me, I have also decided to do the same.

’Guess I will tweak my plans a little.’

This situation reminded me of those words from a certain show I watched.

--> Expect the plan to go off the rail

--> Throw away the plan

’Funny indeed and fun.’

When something goes against what you expect, it always gives you the push to do something against the flow of what is real and what isn’t. With a smile on my face and excited about the future, I went toward meeting the next one that holds the ring, a woman seething with the desire to just unravel me and get to know everything about me.

Thus, moving disguised through the place, I soon reached the elf sector, the place being filled with the beautiful yet relaxing scent of nature, buildings and skyscrapers towering over, with connections of nature to them, guiding them both together. Not to mention, this place all looks filthy rich.

’Rich elves.’

I laughed as I moved through the place, walking into a more distinct district where Sabrina controls herself, as I walked into an open establishment. This looked like the more open fast foos eating places back home as I took a seat in one of the glass walls, my eyes looking to the outside world, and a few moments later, someone sat in front of me.

The ever-charming Sabrina looked at me with a smile as she spoke.

"Hey..."
