Chapter 971 - 969-Lets Dance!
Chapter 971: Chapter 969-Lets Dance!
Eleanor floated there, confined all around. The eyes of the rest of the Imperials focused deeply on Eleanor, who smirked. Her mind calming down, running through the situation, and within that, suddenly the main leading Elf spoke.
"Interesting. Just what kind of monster have you raised?"
The elf asked, to which confused Eleanor watched as the Elf floated an orb right to Eleanor. Her eyes widened as she saw the scene of Austin’s fighting: him against a huge warrior, going toe to toe. No, Eleanor’s eyes saw it. Austin was dominating the fight.
"For your information, your disciple here is fighting the current named Juggernaut of the generation."
The elf spoke, making the eyes of Eleanor widen, but soon that was replaced with a bubbling sense of pride that breathed within her. That wasn’t just a student; that was HER man, fighting there, dominating the world, and for a moment seeing him shirtless, the idle jealousy of possessiveness filled Eleanor, but she held herself back for now, giving nothing to the elf.
’He is keeping his promise.’
Eleanor thought with a gentle smile on her face—the words that Austin gave to her still ringing in her mind.
<I will become worthy enough to be with you, strong enough to hold the world with you....>
The words that made her smile and feel warm all the time, and right now, Austin was dominating his generation, fighting against the world, and maybe soon itself he will one day hold the world for her too. The situation blooming a great warmth in her heart, and just the thought of that love calming down Eleanor, the sight itself in front of her being more than enough to take away any pressure of the situation from her.
’He is still growing ahead. I can’t fail to protect him.’
Eleanor’s eyes turned ruthless at that thought, when suddenly the Elf spoke.
"He is fighting him toe to toe with just pure physical strength....."
As the elf muttered, he looked at the proud, smiling Eleanor—the elf’s mind running with several thoughts. He didn’t show it, but he was shocked beyond measure from what he was seeing: something which was quite possibly not possible at all—a human that seemed to have no type of weakness at all.
’The council is right. He is growing deep into a monster we will be unable to control. We need to nip his wings now.’
The thought leaned deeper into the Elf’s mind as he spoke.
"You surely raised a monster."
"Nah, I just gave him the real guidance. The rest of it, he created that of his own legacy."
Eleanor responded with a light tone. Then her mind fixed on the man, deep bubbling killing intent and desire burning within her. Eleanor understood the reasons for everything that is happening, but what makes her truly afraid is the goal of the war council to hurt Austin. She could understand that he would be a thorn in their side.
’I can’t let him fall into their control. I will protect him.’
A certain ruthlessness flashed within Eleanor—something she will have to do: force herself to risk everything in a single destruction to move forward. That thought trembling and stumbling through Eleanor, so she calmed down—on the outside looking all normal, but on the inside, she was slowly pulling things together for one final blast.
’I won’t let these chains hold me anymore...’
The thought burned deep within Eleanor.
....
"Oh? This is interesting."
The elf spoke—the attention of all the Imperials focused down at the carriage that just landed, and then Eleanor’s eyes turned blood red at the situation of seeing Austin being blocked from his own place: a place that was his to inherit. There was no deeper disrespect than that.
"You dare...YOU DARE!?"
The shout that came from Eleanor sounded like it came from the depths of hell, shaking the skies, but before she could do anything else, something else unfolded in their eyes. Austin didn’t get angry. Austin didn’t shout. Instead, he called his grandfather!
Seeing this, the lips of the Elf twitched. He knew better than many what kind of status Max Lionheart held. To the outside world, he is just the greatest General, but deeper into it, he holds a high status—one that will supersede several things during the time of war, and such a time was approaching. Pissing off that man won’t be good for anyone.
Just as the Elf was about to let Austin in—the plans in his mind running, along with a certain hint of appreciation to see what Austin would do—something mind-numbing happened. Austin took out 2 stones into his hand. The moment they appeared in his hands, all the Imperials felt a tremble in their spine. To them, it looked like normal stones, but their instincts, born from all the life and death battles that too taken them to reach here, told them something else.
’Danger!’
A very great danger!
And thus under everyone’s eyes, Austin crushed those stones—a deep golden light flashing that covered the eyes of everyone, even the Imperials: perhaps even the watching princess who felt the greater shock as she understood what the items were—a wry smile filling her face.
...
Austin POV:
What is the best reaction to take in this situation?
In fact, there is no single action that can be best. The situation itself is very complex. I mean, my master, Eleanor, won’t be able to take action with this situation at hand, this being because any being that once falls into the Imperial realm will have to take an oath to protect the realms when the time comes.
In the beginning, that was just a normal oath—something to use in case to keep the lands clear, create a sense of belonging and more—but later down the line, as power started to seep in, the value of the oath twisted. The war council had the right to act upon the situation where corruption lay, and when corruption lay, it forms a situation where it will be a fight for the realm.
And when that happens, the Imperials that had taken the oath will have no choice but to stand down and let the situation unfold as the war council takes and corrects all in the name of protecting the realm—something that started as innocent, something that was created and made to protect the realm had been twisted into something very, very wrong.
And there was no way out of it either. The war council knows when someone reaches the imperial realm, and they will have no choice but to take the oath. If not, are you against the very realm you are born in?
It was a boxed, closed situation—something which binds like chains to them. Though it’s not completely like a slave like situation—with there being several restrictions on how it can be used—but if played cards correctly like now, then it will be very useful.
Eleanor won’t be able to react ’cause the action of the war council is indeed legit. There was indeed such a situation, so her interference would be an act against the protection of the realm. Of course, if the war council does this and fails to prove any kind of corruption exists, then they will have to pay a huge, huge price.
But till now, this tactic hasn’t failed.
’Till now.’
I thought as the light covered over me. Within my mind that moved fast, I thought up several plans, and truthfully, I can say that the way of talking it out—subtly flexing my powers and some intelligent play here and there—will be more than enough to get out of this. I had built up such power personally and socially after all.
But I am pissed.
One problem after another keeps being thrown at my face, but even above that, what really pisses me off is what I can see in the sky. My master, my lover, my woman—a person I love—was currently being held tightly up high in the sky, locked and unable to move like a slave, and worse than that, I could feel what Eleanor was trying to do, and it’s something that will kill her if not done correctly. She was risking it all for me.
They were then coming into my home, my association—in all words I am their young leader—and right now they break into my home and treat me, its owner, as a stray dog that came to the door. And I am pissed, and I want to beat them all up—beat them all up nice and good, punch their faces in too. Does doing this cause more problems?
Absolutely 100%, no doubt.
Do I care...nope...
Will I be able to fix it?...yup.
’Being young comes with its advantages after all.’
I smirked at that thought. To those who can remember, at the start of the academy to take down Xavier, I used an arrow from the Dragon God—earned from an inheritance that was left behind: a mind-killing, body-killing one that almost killed me, but that wasn’t the only one left behind by the Dragon God. There were several ones that gave several different rewards, and technically, I am the only one who survived it and came out with the rewards.
The one stone in my right grants me the power that is equal to that of a Dragonoid level 3. Of course, for my body to handle it, I will be using the stone on my left—an even more rare one that will help me handle and use that power without imploding, such that when it ends, I will be fine. Both by the Dragon God.
’Now, let’s dance.....’
