Chapter 973 - 971-Well Done Beating.
Chapter 973: Chapter 971-Well Done Beating.
To the slowing world, I moved fast. I wanted it to be special. With one movement, I hit the three Imperials hard and forcefully brought them to the ground, crushing their bones. With the same speed, I moved and hit the lead elf, not just once, but at least a hundred times at all different parts of his body before bringing him down to the ground, right before the steps of my tower, where the other three lay.
Soon, time seemed to resume normal around me. The moment that happened, the cries sounded out.
"Urgh!"
"Ahh!"
"Kurgh!"
"AHhhhhh!"
The worst was the lead elf, who screamed the most as he wriggled in the ground. The three Imperials lay on the ground, surprised and broken. The man who took the lead stayed on the ground with blood pooling around him. There were marks all over his body, ranging from different parts I hit.
His face looked like it had got a real good beating. I could see several swellings around the place. Within that moment, everything resumed in the world. The several guards of the war council that were on standby acted. Their eyes widened. Far away, the watching reporters looked shocked. Even the hidden ones who were enjoying the show were shocked.
’This is not over yet.’
Musing on that thought, I made sure to use the rampaging power within me to freeze away the powers of the Imperials for now. I made it so their healing and their own natural abilities were on standby. Right now, they were just a bunch of old men going through a lot of pain all across them.
"There will be consequences to this..."
Suddenly, the lead elf muttered. Even with his face all swelled up and rolling on the ground with pain, he still spoke those words clearly. I smirked at it as I replied.
"I am a kid who acted out in a moment of rage and carelessness. I am sure the elders can understand that."
My words were filled with sarcasm, which only made that dude even angrier. Surrounding me, I could feel several powerful guards positioning their weapons at me, surrounding me. Their expressions were filled with fear as they looked at me. Even right now, near the ground, I was still floating a bit above it, a smirk on my face.
"You sure you want to do this?"
I spoke. My words spread around as they all looked at me. It wasn’t just that. Around me, I felt each of the three floating ships in the sky focus their weapons on me. A powerful cannon aimed right at me from three different angles. The guards that were present surrounded me, not even leaving any space open for me to react or do anything. At least according to them.
The smirk on my face spread wider. I then looked towards the sky. According to what I asked, Eleanor still floated up above in the sky, still not taking any action, even though right now she wanted to jump in and help. That would only be bad for me. When I acted like this, I could play it cool and later bury it. If Eleanor got her hands into it, then the situation would get even more twisted.
Thus, I took it in. I took in the feeling of all of them aiming their weapons at me, even though they were scared out of their minds. Soon, though, I just flexed my shoulders, feeling all the others looking at me. To some, their minds hadn’t even come to understand what had happened yet. They were not able to even go into the reality they were seeing in front of them.
"I will give you ten seconds. Why don’t you all stand back for now? Nobody has to get hurt anymore."
Saying so, I waited, floating above the ground, all golden and such as I folded my hands together. I waited for the ten seconds to pass. It was as if the whole. world had paused in that moment,od quietly. But it felt more like the calm before the storm. Even now, those Imperials were still rolling on the ground, hurt.
I could tell that they wanted to move and help them. But I was still floating close to them and above them. Thus, they would have to get through me to get to them, which wouldn’t be easy at all. Once the ten seconds were up, I spoke.
"And time’s up."
With those words, the world seemingly slowed down for me again. I moved fast, looking through the slowed-down individuals in front of me as I started to take them down. I didn’t want to hurt them up too much like the rest. I only broke one or two of their bones while leaving them unconscious. Soon, I fought through them all. My enhanced senses felt them fall and break in slow motion.
Soon, though, I was standing between the two guards who had blocked me before. The two of them filled with dread as they were still stuck in that slow motion, looking towards the tower. I smirked and punched them both hard in their faces. I saw as their cheeks ruffled, and some teeth flew out. After which, I broke their legs and moved.
Now I was floating fully in the sky with my arms crossed. Time seemingly flew again for me as the sounds of pain started to cry out.
"Ah!"
"Kurkhg!"
"Nooo!"
"Um~"
"Grukh!"
’Did I hear a moan in between that?’
For a moment, even I was surprised. I tried my best not to show disgust towards the guard from whom that sound came. Bro was already getting the eyes from the rest who got the sound. Anyhow, what stood in front of me now were all the guards who were involved in the attack. Everyone who had come outside, at least.
Each of them lay all around me with broken bones, crying out, and many were in pain. Even the ones far away that were watching, even those guards were hurt and broken. In the centre of that destruction lay the Imperials, still rolling around on the ground. With me floating right above them, the pressure around me was crushing as I smirked.
"See, I told you guys to stand down."
Saying this, I looked towards the three ships at the top. My senses had already picked up the communications that had happened inside it as my voice spread.
"You, those fuckers in the ships. I would like you all to stand down. Or will you all like it only if I took down the ships also?"
At my question, the atmosphere turned severe. The weapons once again focused on me. But a few seconds later, those ships stood down. A direct order from the boss that they had received. Seeing this, I smiled, and I landed on the ground. My eyes looked at the lead elf, whose face still swelled up looked at me as he asked.
"What will you do when the effects wear off? Will you be able to handle the consequences of these actions?"
"We will see."
Saying that, I kicked the dude in the face and knocked him out. I just shrugged my shoulders, feeling the weight off me as I walked towards the entrance of my tower. The doors opened up as I saw all around the members of my tower. All of them were looking at me with pure awe and even worship. I could sense the goosebumps that had filled the lot of them. Inside, I also saw several guards that were left to keep them in bay. One look from me was enough as they all took a step back.
By now, all the guards that were spread about had gathered on the ground. Even the Quiver Lord Eldon was on the ground, standing upright. Though he was indeed looking at me like I was some sort of monster. But even then, right now, he was standing straight with pride flooding through him. At that, I looked at this guy in front of me.
He had that slimy smile to him, a smile on his face. While the guards that were spread about the tower were all around him, he gave me a respectful nod as he, surrounded by those guards, spoke.
"My name is Lorel Von-"
"Who said you could stand?"
As I asked this, a will so hard, a pressure so dangerous leaked out from me. That pressure easily fell to the guards and the dude. All of them at the same time fell to the ground, kneeling. Their bodies were trembling as they were unable to handle all the weight on their body. Smiling, I walked through this pressure, soon reaching up to Lorel, who was struggling.
Getting a good quantity of his hair, I made his face look up. Right now, that face was scrunched up as he seemed to be going through the difficulty of even breathing. I liked it. So I got my fingers together in a punching stance as I spoke.
"Better hold your mouth together."
With those words, I punched his face. Didn’t use much power, but enough to hurt this dude. I didn’t just punch once. I punched his face up a few times. After which, I took away the pressure. By now, most of the guards were already unconscious. I let go of the hair of Lorel or whatever this dude’s name was as he fell to the ground unconscious. The swelling in his face matched that of the lead elf’s.
"Man, that was fun~"
I said.
