Chapter 981: Chapter 979-Beginning Of The Changes.
Indeed, the question lay in what Austin was up to, and for many, they knew Austin had fallen unconscious a week ago, and the word around is that he is still unconscious. The best healers from around the world were called. Heck, even the Saintess of Life, who rarely got involved in any kind of worldly affairs, was moved to help.
And her words gave a sense of help and calmness all around. The fact was simple. Austin had pushed himself too hard handling such a kind of power. He was physically and mentally drained, which was bad in all ways. This had consequences. The good thing was that for now, the only issue was that he was tired. With time, he would awaken on his own. All everyone could do was wait.
Thus started the long wait, and one week had passed. Even then, none of the situations was good at all. Several women who were involved in the secret were going mad with worry. Lora, in all her glory, was almost sick. She doesn’t eat anything much now and is always in a bad mood. She was almost tempted to just leave everything behind and sit by Austin’s side, but she held herself back.
The only good thing to her is the fact that she now knows that Austin is all right and that he will wake up fine in time. Meanwhile, her anger was burning deeper towards the ones who had forced someone she loves into such a situation. She was making ruthless plans left and right to twist this into what can be used for her.
She wanted revenge, and Lora was begging for blood.
The frightening thing was that she wasn’t the only one. Several of the women involved knew that the situation happened mostly because Austin was forced to take this kind of step. The dirty greed of the war council was open for all to see, and all of them knew what kind of man Austin was. He wasn’t one to stand back and have the things he loved crushed, which was one of the many reasons the women all loved Austin.
Which still didn’t take away the real issues at hand. Several of the women were worried sick. The main loving princesses who had already formed a relationship with Austin were going mad, and burning with an unending desire for revenge, hungry for the revolt burning within them.
Olivia was training herself to death. Carmel was sick with worry, being kept at bay by Carmelia. Marlene and Catherine both used their resources to scour the oceans to see if there lay anything that could help, their anger too burning bright.
Mika and Rika found themselves too holed up with their training, their desires for strength only burning brighter. Sana and Rina are the same. The men, all of them raging like beasts as they worked even harder. The main members knew what an important time this was. Austin might be down, but that doesn’t mean the hyenas circling them had calmed down. In fact, they only got even greedier.
Austin had shown what he could do, what his power was, and now, with him out of commission and already on the bad side of several of the organisations, all of them had the full support to crush whatever it was that Austin had built. In fact, the elders wanted to see it. The move that Austin had made had pissed off a lot of powers, because it had, at the same time, also ripped up their reputations too, by showing all the bad that existed within their powers.
Which meant a lot of pissed-off elders supporting their members. Even above all that, even though the war council smiled and helped with the wholehearted support they said they were giving, behind that smile was the blood raging in them, anger that threatened to swallow anything that came their path. Thus, the youngest of the war council received the full support to rip apart whatever Austin had built. There would be no consequences. Of course, all of them in secret, in a limited way. The academy wouldn’t handle anything more, not right now anyway.
Thus, Alex was going crazy dealing with and handling everything. The day he heard whatever happened to Austin, his eyes had gone mad with madness and anger. In fact, all of the men had almost gotten mad and gone berserk, but they held it in, and they held their pride as they all worked hard to keep everything straight, to make sure that the trust Austin had placed in them all those times ago wouldn’t be beaten.
Plus, it wasn’t as easy as the people expected it to be at all. When the war council thought they could move against Austin’s faction, they were met with a brick wall they couldn’t burst through because the whole of the academy, at least the members that belonged to the older students, had come together to support Austin.
Many of them owed their life to Austin, not to mention that several heads of factions were women madly in love with Austin. All of them came into action. They didn’t stop at all. They all came together to support and protect Austin. It was a single combined help coming together, something that had never seen before.
Normally, to anyone else’s eyes, the fall of a faction is only better, but this time it wasn’t that case. Everyone came to help. Olivia, with red eyes, made sure no one moved against this. Carmelia was like a sharp piece of ice that seemed to attack anything that wanted to threaten Austin. Marlene came with her support.
Angelina didn’t hesitate to give her word of protection, along with even Isabella stepping in, and those actions had consequences, too. For several of the organizations’ kids didn’t like it. It was as if the power level arranged from millennials ago was being threatened, and that led to problems, big, big problems.
But none of the students or leaders succumbed to the pressure. In fact, they fought harder back against it. The elders from back home wanted them to step away. The Emperors wanted them to step away, but the students didn’t bend, not even one of them bent to the power. If it were one, two, or even more, maybe, maybe it could have been dealt with.
But with all of them taking a stand forward, there was nothing more to be done. The powers at the top exist because the powers at the bottom are there. Without its citizens and its people, what use is a king?
It was a hard-earned question, but a powerful one indeed. And for the first time, the powerful had to be paused, because if they pushed any further, then the whole system would break. Every ant they controlled was rebelling back, and with everyone coming together, a form of unity and actions never seen before came into bloom, a beautiful, powerful bloom.
The strategic minds came as one. With support, Alex got his help from the sides of Emily and Ella coming together. Emily still needed to get that connection to move forward, and this situation was something she could finally use to get more information and get into the life of Austin’s life. And while Ella won’t mention it, she still has a crush on Austin, not to mention she is still owed a date.
The other girls weren’t silent either. Nathalia burned into her creation, this scene making her heart break and her mind run wild. Thus, she entered the forge, fully heartened to build something to keep Austin safe. Lanoa flowed into her music; her heart wrenched, but she focused on creating a tune or music that would shake the heart of Austin or even heal it.
Zoe threw herself into her work, trying to create some kind of potion that might help. Clara seemed the worst as she seemed to have gone crazy in a way, or more accurately, at least acting like it, as she pushed her healing ability to the limit again and again. Sonia seemed to have locked herself in training; her mind shifted with the help of Nyla, who seemed to have a blood glint in her eyes.
Everyone was focused on what they could do to help, what they could do to take their mind off whatever had happened. Even outside the academy, things weren’t all that good. The dwarven women were also extremely worried. They were only being held in place thanks to the news arriving wherever they wanted.
All of them were worried and hopeful in their own way. The legends were being etched little by little, and the classes were also dismissed for some time once again. The academy was under deep scrutiny, and it needed some time to bring itself back together.
It was chaos, growth, and beauty everywhere.
Though in the centre of where Austin lay, in his bed, in the manor that Grace owned within the academy, it was heavy, very heavy. One can only imagine the things the family was going through, and the situation was even more deadly than many could have imagined. The raw anger and killing intent running through the place was far more dangerous than anyone could even imagine.
The whole manor lay protected. The deepest, most trusted, and ruthless soldiers of Max Lionheart surrounded the place, their thick killing intent and power causing weaker minds just to tremble.
