The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 607 - Han Zhentian (01)

Chapter 607: 607 - Han Zhentian (01)

Qingyi entered the crowded mission hall, where dozens of disciples were coming and going all the time.

He wasn’t surprised by the number of people. After all, that single building served more than seventy thousand disciples.

Even if only one percent of them were seeking missions at any given time, it would still be a large number.

Ignoring the few curious glances he received and the smiles of some flirtatious female disciples, Qingyi began to examine the available missions.

There were many different types, ranging from solo missions to those requiring dozens or even hundreds of disciples.

While searching, he even found a few diplomatic missions, though these were, for the most part, reserved for high-level inner disciples.

In the end, he managed to mark more than a dozen missions that interested him, some with rewards amounting to dozens of celestial spirit crystals.

There was just one problem.

All of them, without exception, were off the planet of the Rising Aurora.

If he were a star sovereign, that wouldn’t be a problem. He could simply traverse the cosmos freely.

Unfortunately, he was only at the first stage of the Astral Blood Realm and had with him only sect credits equivalent to a single celestial spirit crystal.

In other words, he was too weak and too poor.

He could even buy celestial spirit crystals from the system store and use them to rent a spaceship, but the crystals in the store were simply too expensive to be wasted like that.

"Ah... Ruxue, isn’t there at least one hidden treasure with billions in spirit crystals somewhere?" Qingyi sighed in defeat.

[I have a few, but you’ll hardly be able to reach them with your current power.]

"Then, there’s only one choice left." Qingyi whispered, fixing his gaze on the disciples gathered in groups, each led by an inner disciple.

For the most part, they were preparing to set out on pirate-hunting missions, one of the easiest types of missions to get assigned and, at the same time, the most avoided.

The reason was simple: the mortality rate.

Pirates could be hiding in groups numbering in the tens of thousands, and the sect often sent no more than a hundred disciples to wipe out these groups.

In such fierce confrontations, even with the support of inner disciples, deaths were still far more common than in any other type of mission.

As he looked at the many groups, one of the inner disciples seemed to notice his gaze, a broad smile spreading across his face.

They were just one short of being ready to depart, and apparently, he had just found what he needed.

"Junior brother, are you interested in joining a mission with us? We’re at sixty-nine and need one more to reach the minimum number of disciples required!" The inner disciple approached, placing his hand on Qingyi’s shoulder.

He was a little taller than the young black dragon in front of him, standing nearly two meters tall.

At the peak of the Celestial Ascension Realm, he was well-known among his fellow disciples, possessing a powerful fists lineage.

"Well... if Senior Brother allows me." Qingyi flashed a gentle smile, bowing respectfully.

"Oh... of course I do, hahaha." The inner disciple roared with laughter, pleased with the humility shown.

Black dragons were always arrogant bastards, so he’d been a little afraid that Qingyi would simply treat him like an insect.

Qingyi noticed this in his gaze, but said nothing. He only treated as insects those who deserved to be treated as insects.

Even the humblest mortal, with his heart in the right place, deserved some level of respect in his eyes. Unlike people like young Master Luo, whose heart was rotten.

"My name is Han Zhentian, by the way. And you, junior brother?" Zhentian asked, shaking Qingyi’s hand before starting to walk toward the group, where two other inner disciples with cultivation levels only slightly lower than his were waiting.

"Long Qingyi." The handsome young man replied, causing the inner disciple to freeze.

"Qingyi... the one who broke Young Master Guo’s record? Hahahaha." Zhentian gave Qingyi a firm slap on the back.

"Man, you should’ve seen his face when we were at a meeting with the elders and the sect leader’s daughter showed interest in you after hearing Elder Shen talk about your achievements. I thought he was going to explode with rage, hahahaha."

Qingyi couldn’t help but be surprised by those words.

Was Elder Shen really bragging about him to everyone? And what about him could possibly interest the sect leader’s daughter?

There were reasons for him to be interested in her, of course, but... He was just a humble outer disciple, after all, even with his achievement in the Hidden Moonlight Secret Realm.

A girl like her shouldn’t be interested in a man like him, even if she was known for being quite eccentric.

To Qingyi, that was just a nuisance. To Zhentian, it was a great comedy show.

Zhentian himself felt a little threatened by Guo Tianhao, whose time in the secret realm had been only one hour and twenty minutes. That’s why it was so satisfying to know that Tianhao had been surpassed, especially by such a wide margin.

"Your perception must be absurd to complete the Hidden Moonlight Secret Realm in just five minutes... When it was my turn, I thought I really wouldn’t even be able to get past that damn iron door." Zhentian muttered, motioning for the other disciples to follow him.

There was a vice-captain in the group, also an inner disciple and the one responsible for piloting the ship, but it was Qingyi who stayed by his side as he claimed the mission and then began walking toward the spaceship.

Although he wasn’t as wealthy as Guo Tianhao, Han Zhentian came from an extremely wealthy family and even had an uncle who was a sect elder, so he never lacked for money.

For any external disciple, getting close to and winning Zhentian’s favor was a dream that opened countless doors.

In fact, that was why many of those disciples had joined his group.

Seeing Qingyi there, treated by Zhentian as if they were old friends and not beings from completely different worlds, drew many hostile and envious glances.

Glances that Qingyi promptly ignored.
