Chapter 1881: Exodus
Chapter 1881: Exodus
Cain’s mastery over space and time had grown so formidable that, with a mere wave of his hand, Shura and Astrid instantly appeared before him. Initially startled by the abrupt teleportation, their surprise swiftly gave way to joy as they recognized Cain. Without hesitation, the two women rushed into his embrace, their eyes shining with affection.
A warm, gentle silence enveloped them, undisturbed by the outside world. The next few weeks became a period of peace, comfort, and relaxation for Cain—something he dearly needed. He spent precious days enjoying the warmth and companionship of the women he loved, allowing the accumulated tension, stress, and worries from his countless battles and relentless training to dissipate completely. This time of rest was invaluable, for Cain knew that soon, he would plunge into a level of bloodshed and conflict that the Everstrife Empyrean World had not witnessed in over five hundred million years.
When these days of tranquility finally came to an end, Cain felt utterly renewed, filled with a clarity of mind and a sense of purpose. The peace he gained was not simply physical, but also profoundly emotional and spiritual.
After bidding a temporary farewell to his wives, Cain directed his mind back toward strategy and preparation. His next destination was the highest level of the Tower of Babel, where the Six Chief Counselors of the Scarlet Alliance awaited his arrival with anticipation.
"Hail the Scarlet King!"
As soon as Cain materialized in the grand chamber atop the tower, all the men and women present immediately knelt, performing deep, respectful bows. Each of these counselors represented the greatest strategic, diplomatic, and administrative minds among the six major empires of Aether, and their dedication to Cain and the Scarlet Alliance was unquestioned.
Cain nodded slightly, signaling them to rise. As he examined them carefully, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes slightly at the sight of their cultivation. Although he had primarily selected these individuals for their intelligence and diplomatic skill rather than their strength, he knew that increased cultivation would only benefit their effectiveness. Higher cultivation meant superior mental clarity, greater stamina, and less need for rest—all invaluable qualities for the tasks ahead.
Without wasting any time, Cain ascended to the central throne and gestured for them to take their respective seats around him. As the Six Chief Counselors settled, they observed Cain with awe and reverence, barely concealing their admiration.
Just a short time ago, they had witnessed the Stars of Doomsday, and the thousands of elite geniuses from the Scarlet Alliance had suddenly returned from the Everstrife Empyrean World. Initially, this abrupt retreat sparked anxiety and confusion among the alliance, making them suspect that something had gone terribly wrong. But they soon learned the truth. The Scarlet King had returned stronger and more formidable than ever. He had challenged one of the supreme leaders of the Everstrife Empyrean World.
Realizing that Cain now stood before them, brimming with vitality and unfathomable power, they understood immediately—he had triumphed. The Scarlet King had reached a level of strength beyond their wildest imagination.
Cain’s eyes moved from one counselor to the next, perceiving clearly the awe, admiration, and devotion radiating from their hearts. A faint smile appeared on his lips before his gaze sharpened, turning focused and serious.
"You have all performed excellently," Cain began, his voice strong and commanding. "Aether is flourishing under your leadership. Prosperity and growth can be seen in every direction, from cultivation advancements to racial harmony. I am truly pleased with your accomplishments."
Hearing this praise, Minxet, Razputin, Wanton, Sebastian, Kamila, and Zorona clenched their fists with pride and excitement. Their hearts swelled with joy, knowing their efforts had gained the sincere approval of the Scarlet King. Still, they maintained their discipline, their expressions alert and composed, waiting attentively for Cain’s next words.
"I have summoned you here for a crucial reason," Cain continued, his tone firm and decisive. "My power has grown sufficient to secure our domain within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe. Therefore, I will relocate every single living being from Aether into the Everlife Continent of the Everstrife Empyrean World."
Immediately, shock rippled through the Chief Counselors as they absorbed this revelation. The fact that Cain possessed the strength to claim an entire continent within an Empyrean World was extraordinary, and undoubtedly, the vastly superior cosmic energies of that realm would greatly accelerate the growth of every cultivator and civilian under their care.
Yet, despite the clear advantages, the counselors hesitated. Relocating hundreds of billions of people from Aether to an entirely unfamiliar world at once was not merely a logistical nightmare—it would also impose immense psychological stress on ordinary people, particularly younger individuals and non-cultivators. Leaving behind their homes and familiar environments would be tremendously challenging and disruptive.
The counselors exchanged concerned glances until Minxet finally took a deep breath, his expression filled with determination and courage as he addressed Cain directly.
"My King, with all due respect, is relocating the entire population of Aether simultaneously truly the most prudent approach? Perhaps we might implement the exodus systematically, beginning with higher-level cultivators and then gradually transitioning civilians afterward. I believe such a structured approach could be accomplished within three years, greatly reducing psychological distress and upheaval among the general population."
"I share the same concern, my King," Razputin quickly added, his voice steady and confident.
Cain regarded Minxet and Razputin thoughtfully, a small, approving smile forming at the corners of his mouth. He did not need subordinates who merely repeated his words or unquestioningly agreed with his every decision. Instead, he deeply valued people willing to voice differing perspectives and challenge his ideas, demonstrating their true loyalty through sincerity and courage.
Yet, despite appreciating their input, Cain remained firm and resolute as he slowly shook his head.
"I understand your perspective and respect your concern about the mental and emotional strain caused by such a sudden exodus," Cain explained calmly but with unwavering authority. "However, time is a luxury we do not possess. I have now glimpsed the true nature and magnitude of our true enemy."
Cain’s voice grew more serious, emphasizing the gravity of his message. "It is absolutely paramount for all of us to grow stronger, and we must do so rapidly. For that reason, I have no choice but to move the entirety of Aether’s population into the Everstrife Empyrean World without delay."
