Chapter 2345: No longer a Neo-Demon
Chapter 2345: No longer a Neo-Demon
The Scarlet King and the Crimson Exarch rose unsteadily, barely standing on the third step of the pyramid that led toward the Eternity Gate.
The Masters Chaos and Order were exhausted.
There was no strength left in their bodies, no reserves of power to draw from. Every breath burned, every movement screamed in protest. And yet, as the figure of the Ancient One slowly approached them, their wavering resolve hardened, their willpower erasing doubt and hesitation.
The Ancient One’s smile widened as he glanced at the two of them, savoring the moment before their spirits could finally break. Destroying their hopes would feel better than killing them.
"Option one," he said calmly. "Lower your heads, kneel, and obey my rules."
He raised a single finger.
"Option two, I crush you into pieces, and make sure you cease to exist."
Surrender or death.
Those were the only choices the Ancient One offered.
For a moment, silence reigned.
Then the Crimson Exarch released a long sigh and shrugged his shoulders, before showing a wild smile.
"Option three."
The instant those words left his mouth, the gun in his hand twisted and reshaped, metal flowing like liquid light as it transformed into a golden horn. In the same motion, he struck sideways.
Cain’s eyes widened.
Blood exploded in every direction.
The golden horn pierced straight through Cain’s chest, punching into his heart.
"CAIN!"
Meylin screamed, her voice filled with horror and rage. She tried to rise, but her body refused to obey. All she could do was stare.
"Bastard!"
The Demon King roared, fury blazing in his eyes as he glared at the Crimson Exarch, regret flooding him for not killing the man earlier when he had the chance.
"Hahaha! You seem to have regained your reason," the Ancient One said, his smile filled with amusement as he watched the apparent betrayal. "Better late than never."
The Scarlet King slowly turned his head toward the Crimson Exarch.
There was no longer any Depravita Aura to heal him.
This wound was fatal.
"You... son of a—"
He never finished the sentence.
His body suddenly trembled violently, and from his chest erupted a pillar of blue and violet light. It blasted into the sky like the spear of a vengeful god, generating a shockwave that sent the Crimson Exarch flying backward.
Every last iota of strength in the man’s body and soul seemed to have been spent. He crashed into the ground, battered and broken—yet a grin spread across his bloodied face as he saw the pillar of light.
"Jackpot."
Confusion spread across the core of Origin Island.
The Crimson Exarch had pierced the heart of the Scarlet King, and just as everyone assumed he had betrayed Cain for a chance at survival, an overwhelming surge of power and life erupted instead.
Even the Ancient One—who had believed victory was already his—was left utterly stunned, disbelief flashing across his face at the sudden reversal.
But his instincts screamed.
Something extremely dangerous was happening, and he needed to stop it.
Immediately, he cast aside all confusion and hesitation, blasting forward with overwhelming force, intent on crushing the pillar of light before whatever was occurring could finish.
Before he could reach it, the Matrix of Origin Island trembled, and tendrils of cosmic rules flashed into the pillar.
The power of the Matrix generated shockwaves that spread across the entire pyramid. The force was so immense that even the Ancient One was blasted backward, his feet dragging across the ground as he forced himself to regain control.
He stared at the pillar in disbelief.
The Matrix was reacting as it did when a Neo-Angel triggered their ultimate form—but this was different.
This was not merely sealing fragments of laws or bending rules to trigger a temporary transformation.
It was as if the rules of the universe themselves were reforging Cain’s very existence.
Evolving him. Not into a Neo-Angel or a Neo-Demon but into something else entirely.
The pillar of light did not last long. Slowly, it began to recede, its density thinning as the silhouette of the figure inside became visible.
Then it faded completely.
Cain stood revealed.
Neo-Demon armor spread across his arms and legs, but it was no longer bones. It had turned obsidian black, etched with countless glowing blue runes that seemed to carry fragments of the universe’s laws within them.
Above his head hovered an obsidian halo shaped like a crown. From it extended billions of nearly invisible threads, connecting his presence directly to the world around him.
His Wings of Chaos had evolved as well.
No longer made of pure plasma, they had transformed into massive obsidian feathers, each one glowing faintly with swirling Chaos energy flowing within.
Awe and amazement filled the faces of the Demon King, Meylin, and every remaining warrior of the Life Path.
It was not merely the visual transformation that shocked them—it was the power.
The sheer might radiating from Cain made the battlefield tremble.
The truth was, even Cain himself was stunned.
As he glanced inward, he realized the Neo-Demon Core and the Blue Matrix were gone. In their place, embedded within his heart, was a strange obsidian dodecahedron—a phenomenon anchoring every aspect of his existence and power.
"I am no longer a Neo-Demon..."
Cain did not know how to feel.
Countless questions flooded his mind, but he had no time to ask them.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed everything aside and clenched his fists.
"ZNNNN!"
Space itself trembled.
In the next instant, Cain vanished from the pyramid, only to reappear directly in front of the Ancient One. His fist slammed into the man’s chest, detonating with cataclysmic force and blasting the Ancient One straight into the sky.
The Ancient One quickly regained control, forcing aside shock and confusion. His eyes burned with cold fury and determination.
It did not matter what Cain had become.
He would kill him.
"Die, rat!"
With that roar of rage, the Ancient One dove from the sky as Cain surged upward to meet him.
