The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2382: The Scarlet King’s strongest form

Chapter 2382: The Scarlet King’s strongest form

Sozing showed a small smile as he heard the Scarlet King’s words, then shrugged lightly.

"Maybe," he said calmly, "or maybe I am just tricking you—making you believe I want this battle to last long, when in reality I need it to end as quickly as possible."

The towering Curse Eater, Bako, added in an amused tone, his many eyes narrowing slightly.

"That would also make sense. After all, I already told you the only way to leave this place is by killing me."

Finally, the clown-like Curse Eater spoke, threads swaying gently as his mask tilted.

"I tricked you once," Hako said softly. "Ican do it again."

Cain’s eyes sharpened at those words.

Throughout his rise in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, Cain had always dominated the mental aspect of battle. He had manipulated fear, intent, and expectation, forcing his enemies to dance to his rhythm. Yet this time, he had been outplayed—tricked by the Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World and dragged into a place he neither understood nor seemed capable of escaping.

The Scarlet King remained silent for a moment, gazing up at the starless sky above. Then he sighed—and smiled.

"There is no point in wasting my time trying to see through you," Cain said evenly. "You have already proven capable of hiding your true selves."

Those words made the trio frown. The stoic and emotional control of the Scarlet King made their instincts feel great danger, and things only grew worse as they detected a devouring intent behind his gaze.

"I have many questions, and the moment I send every piece of you into my throne, I am sure I will get my answers."

With those words, Cain lowered his center of gravity and adopted a battle stance. Zero-State Force burst like a flame, dense and oppressive, but instead of forming his usual spear, it wrapped tightly around his limb.

Sozing, Bako, and Hako frowned as they noticed the change.

They had analyzed Cain’s Zero-State Spear countless times, reviewing every clash he had fought against the Monster of the Root. They had learned its timing, its range, its destructive limits.

Yet now, all of that preparation seemed useless.

The Chaos Wings behind Cain began to writhe before folding inward. They pierced into his flesh and muscles, merging directly with his body. The Power of Chaos flowed unrestrained through his veins, forcing his physical capabilities to rise to terrifying new heights.

"I intended to keep this hidden until I faced the second entity born from the Emptiness," Cain said, his voice calm but dangerous. "But I suppose you will have the luxury of testing my strength firsthand."

A wide smile spread across his face as he took a deep breath.

"Asura Form."

For a moment, it felt as if reality itself froze. Time hesitated, bracing itself for something that defied its laws.

Then it came.

"Fourteen Gear!"

Red flames erupted from Cain’s body, swirling violently around him. They were not true fire, but his bloodstream itself—circulating with such overwhelming power that it ignored the limitations of blood and flesh entirely.

His heartbeat thundered like a war drum, each pulse generating massive shockwaves that shattered nearby buildings and sent debris flying. The Curse Eaters were blasted backward, forced to retreat several steps just to stabilize themselves.

Sozing, Bako, and Hako grounded their stances and immediately adopted battle formations. But before they could fully process what was happening, Cain was already upon them.

His open hand descended like a divine axe.

Reality screamed as the strike tore through it, sundering laws and splitting space itself. The blow was aimed directly at Sozing’s face, carrying enough force to cleave the Immortal Knight in half.

Yet just as the hand—moving faster than time itself—was about to land, it slowed.

Cain’s eyes narrowed.

An extremely powerful cosmic force interfered with his attack, dragging against his momentum. Before Cain could fully analyze it, Sozing raised his hand.

In the next instant, a repulsive force erupted outward—vast and overwhelming. Cain was hurled into the distance, crashing through one building, then another, before finally stopping inside the third.

A thin trail of blood ran from Cain’s mouth, but that was all. His endurance in this form was monstrous.

Unfortunately, before he could further assess Sozing’s power, his eyes sharpened again as a massive obsidian figure descended from the sky like a meteor.

"BOOM!"

Bako crashed down with overwhelming force—but to his surprise, he landed on nothing.

Before he could even detect Cain’s presence, a hand seized his neck and yanked him upward. Cain rose into the air, swinging Bako’s massive body like a battering ram as they exploded through the roof of a nearby building.

In the next moment, Cain clenched his fist and drove it straight into Bako’s chest.

"BOOM!"

The strike detonated with a violent explosion of Zero-State energy, blasting the towering Curse Eater into the ground. Before Bako could even attempt to rise, the energy in his chest ignited again—then again—each detonation carving deeper and wider craters into the cityscape.

A cold smile appeared on Cain’s face.

He had successfully fused Zero-State Force with his Resurrección innate abilities, turning every physical strike into a layered annihilation.

Not wasting a second, Cain raised his hand toward the crater, ready to release a finishing blast.

Then his eyes narrowed.

Countless threads flashed toward him from all directions.

They belonged to Hako.

The clown-like Curse Eater’s threads tore through buildings effortlessly, their slashing power undeniable. Cain dashed through them, weaving between strands, but they moved far too fast.

In moments, a massive net formed around him, tightening rapidly.

Just as the threads were about to reach his skin, Cain clasped his hands.

Invisible blades carrying Zero-State Force surged outward, slicing through the net in an instant.

Hako’s eyes widened as his threads were severed so easily. His shock only deepened as Cain opened his palm toward him in the next second.

A massive cannon of Zero-State Force erupted forward, swallowing the space between them entirely—aimed directly at the Curse Eater, ready to consume him whole.
