Chapter 2383: Combining Primordial Force and The Flow
Chapter 2383: Combining Primordial Force and The Flow
The cannon of Zero-State Force tore across the city, raging through space and reaching Hako in the blink of an eye—far too fast for the clown-like Curse Eater to dodge.
Just as it seemed the attack was about to land, Sozing appeared in front of him. The man raised his palm and released a repulsive force identical to the one that had sent Cain flying earlier. The Zero-State cannon was violently repelled, blasted away into the distance where it detonated harmlessly against the dark skyline.
"That power again," Cain muttered, his eyes sharpening.
The strength of that ability was immense, and it was clearly connected to the strange time dilation that had slowed his first strike. Cain knew he needed to find a way around it, but there was barely time to analyze it as the battle did not stop.
"BOOM!"
Bako erupted from the crater he had been smashed into, the ground cracking beneath his weight. The Curse Eater appeared fully recovered from the devastating blows he had suffered earlier, his obsidian skin flawless once more. Without hesitation, he lunged at Cain, his bladed arm slicing forward with lethal intent.
Cain reacted instantly, narrowly dodging the blade before delivering a devastating kick toward the Curse Eater’s head. Fourteen Gear pushed Cain’s speed to an overwhelming level, far beyond what Bako could track. The kick shattered nearly half of Bako’s masked face, sending his massive body crashing into a nearby building.
Yet Cain’s eyes narrowed.
Bako rose far faster than before.
Purple arteries glowed beneath his obsidian skin, pulsing with energy as his shattered head regenerated in moments. The Curse Eater flashed back into the fray, reappearing directly in front of Cain. His massive arm, covered in grotesque protrusions, surged forward again.
"He’s faster," Cain noted, his eyes widening slightly.
Bako’s speed had increased drastically. Even so, Cain managed to dodge the strike and fired a punch in response.
"BOOM!"
A powerful shockwave rippled outward—but not from a direct hit.
Bako had blocked the punch.
"He’s adapting," Cain realized immediately.
The Scarlet King understood the nature of the bulging Curse Eater’s ability. Bako responded instantly, driving a knee toward Cain’s jaw.
"Hmph."
Rather than being overwhelmed, Cain sneered and moved with a level of precision and skill that surpassed Bako’s limits. He dodged the knee strike effortlessly, seized the Curse Eater’s leg, and swung him downward with catastrophic force.
The impact shook the entire dark city, the ground trembling violently as Bako was slammed into the earth.
Before Cain could follow up, threads shot toward him from behind, aimed directly at the back of his head.
Hako’s eyes glowed with excitement as he saw his attack about to land.
Then Cain vanished.
Hako’s instincts screamed in terror.
Two scarlet eyes appeared behind him, burning with lethal intent. A hand reached toward the back of his head, each finger poised to unleash hundreds of invisible Zero-State blades.
At the last possible moment, Hako was violently shoved aside.
Sozing took his place, positioning himself between the Scarlet King and his fellow Curse Eater.
Cain’s eyes burned with even greater killing intent. Killing Sozing was an even better outcome.
His hand surged forward—but once more, time itself distorted.
What should have taken a fraction of a second stretched into what felt like minutes. Cain’s motion slowed unnaturally as Sozing released another repulsive blast. The force surged toward Cain, threatening to send him flying again.
This time, plasma-like tendrils erupted from Cain’s back, anchoring his body to the ground.
An unbearable weight crushed down on him, threatening to pulverize his frame, yet Cain resisted. Muscles screamed, bones groaned, but he held his ground.
Sozing’s eyes widened in shock.
His body trembled as he saw a bloody smile spread across Cain’s face.
The Curse Eater watched in confusion as the combined forces of Entropy and Nihility faded from Cain’s right arm, replaced instead by a radiant fusion of golden and violet energy.
Then, under Sozing’s stunned gaze, a punch landed squarely on his face.
The sound of cracking bones echoed through the air.
Utter shock filled Sozing’s eyes as his unique defensive ability failed completely, allowing the punch to land point-blank and blasting him into the ground.
Before he could rise, Cain grabbed his leg with his glowing violet hand, his smile widening.
"Just as I suspected," Cain said calmly. "You have an event horizon around your body. Everything slows down to the point it feels frozen."
Sozing’s eyes widened further as Cain continued.
"Unfortunately for you, by combining the Primordial Force of the Void with the vibrational power of the Flow, I can touch even the core of a black hole."
Those words were spoken within a single heartbeat.
Cain lifted Sozing overhead and slammed him into the ground with all his strength. Blood burst from the Curse Eater’s mouth as pain rippled through his body.
Yet even then, Sozing did not break.
He anchored his hand into the ground and twisted violently, breaking free from Cain’s grip at the cost of tearing muscle and bone. In the same motion, he twisted his body and launched a punch toward Cain.
Cain blocked it—but his eyes narrowed as he felt the strength behind the strike.
It was not as overwhelming as the repulsive force, but it carried a similar aura, amplifying the blow. Cain was forced back several steps.
Immediately, a brutal exchange erupted between Cain and Sozing.
The physical attributes of the human Curse Eater were astonishing. Sozing was able to keep pace with the Scarlet King blow for blow, his strikes precise and empowered by his spatial abilities.
However, it did not take long for the difference to show.
Cain’s eyes sharpened as he realized that any attack he performed without the golden-violet energy was slowed and rendered ineffective. The battle grew even more complicated as Hako rejoined the fray, his threads slicing through the air toward Cain.
A heartbeat later, Bako reappeared beside them, his massive form crashing down as he launched another devastating strike toward the Scarlet King.
