Chapter 2403: Capturing a Royal Blutlinie
Chapter 2403: Capturing a Royal Blutlinie
The arrows did not appear to carry much power, yet for some reason, Kameron felt his instincts screaming in warning. A deep sense of danger surged through him, sharp and undeniable. Without hesitation, he burned his energy and released a massive wave of ice energy forward.
The Royal Blutlinie was confident that his attack would freeze the arrows in place and eliminate the threat entirely.
However, just as the frost energy was about to reach them, a pulse of golden energy surged out from the Ocean of the Blood Sun. It bypassed the arrows completely and collided with Kameron’s frost wave.
Instead of crashing into it head-on, the golden energy deflected the frost to the side, forcibly altering its trajectory. The diverted attack slammed into an ArchDeity Blutlinie, freezing the man solid and sending his rigid body plummeting into the ocean below.
"What is that?!"
Shock and awe assaulted Kameron’s mind. It was a strange and unfamiliar power—one that the Royal Blutlinie did not recognize. It was neither an Omen nor Ancestor Power, nor anything he had ever encountered before.
Yet there was no time to dwell on it.
With nothing left to obstruct them, the arrows appeared directly in front of him.
Kameron swung his bone sword with explosive speed, managing to destroy a third of the incoming projectiles. Even so, twenty-one arrows slipped through his defense and struck his body.
At first, Kameron felt nothing more than a soft pressure where the arrows had made contact. There was no immediate pain, no visible damage. For a fleeting moment, he believed that the attack had failed.
Then, in the very next second, every point that had been struck erupted simultaneously.
His life force and soul force were forcibly reversed, their natural flow violently twisted and driven backward. The two energies collided within his body again and again, creating catastrophic internal damage. Blood burst from every orifice of the Royal Blutlinie as his body convulsed uncontrollably.
Horror and dread flooded Kameron’s eyes.
The damage was so severe that his body refused to respond. His muscles locked, his energy stagnated, and he was completely paralyzed. Before he could even begin to recover, a massive claw descended from above.
Satan’s expression was cold and merciless, a fierce smile carved into his draconic face as he struck Kameron with the full strength of his gargantuan body.
The sound of shattering bones echoed across the Ocean of the Blood Sun.
Kameron’s broken body was sent crashing into the depths below.
His thoughts were barely coherent as his skull cracked and his vision swam, but one instinct remained clear—he had to escape. Summoning every remaining ounce of energy, Kameron connected his will to the ring on his hand.
Just as the artifact was about to activate, an immense presence descended.
Darkness swallowed everything around him.
The world vanished, replaced by two scarlet eyes that pierced straight into the deepest part of his soul. The gaze alone paralyzed his mind and sealed his energy completely. In that frozen instant, countless torrents of golden blood surged forward, wrapping around his body and forging an unbreakable cocoon.
There was no escape.
"Yes! A Royal Blutlinie!"
Cain’s voice was filled with thrill and excitement. The value of a Royal Blutlinie’s Ancestor Drop was countless times greater than that of others, even those at the ArchDeity rank.
From the moment Cain was certain his safety was secured, he immediately focused all his power on activating the Flow Art of the Thirty-Three Stars. Although Kameron was extremely powerful—his Flow Points far more difficult to locate in such a short time—Cain had already fused with The Flow itself.
His domain had risen to an absurd level.
Within minutes, Cain successfully located Kameron’s Flow Points, despite observing the Royal Blutlinie only from a distance.
Of course, capturing a Royal Blutlinie was extraordinary, but it was not enough.
Cain’s focus swiftly shifted to the remaining Blutlinie army that had entered his domain.
"Satan, do not let any of them escape!"
The dragon roared in response. With a powerful beat of his bat-like wings, Satan flashed forward at terrifying speed and charged directly at the ArchDeities.
Although Satan had only just been born, by channeling the immense energy and vitality of the Ocean of the Blood Sun, his strength had already surpassed the Early Alpha-Omega Overgod rank. There was nothing the ArchDeities could do to resist him.
His claws tore through their limbs with ease, while the violent gales generated by his wings hurled them into the blood ocean, where Cain swiftly trapped them one by one.
As for the Prima Deities, the blood arms and spears were more than sufficient to deal with them.
It did not take long for the remaining Blutlinie to be overwhelmed by horror as they realized that there was no escape.
Yet credit had to be given where it was due.
While most races would have broken under such pressure, the Blutlinie upheld the ferocity of their race. Many descended into madness fueled by hatred and rage. Some charged forward like berserkers, abandoning all rationality. Others detonated themselves, releasing massive torrents of energy that pulverized everything around them.
Cain immediately focused his soul power, striking directly at the minds of the ArchDeities. He prevented them from self-destruction, abandoning the Prima Deities to their fate.
By the time the day ended, Cain had successfully captured one Royal Blutlinie, twenty-two ArchDeities, and one hundred and forty-eight Prima Deities.
All others had perished.
Satan hovered in the sky, his breathing heavy and uneven. Numerous wounds covered his massive body. Most had been inflicted during his battle with Kameron, though several came from clashes with the ArchDeities who had detonated themselves directly in front of him.
Slowly, the colossal dragon descended into the Ocean of the Blood Sun. His enormous body stood upon the surface as though it were solid ground rather than liquid. He gazed into the depths below with a confused expression.
"Who are you?" he muttered.
Then, after a pause, his voice—coarse and rough, filled with immense power yet heavy with disturbance—continued:
"...Who am I?"
