Chapter 2404: Time for speed
Chapter 2404: Time for speed
Cain was slightly surprised to hear those words.
He had created Satan using the essence and cosmic power of the Ocean of the Blood Sun, nurturing him with the Power of Chaos, the Flow, and his own Primordial Essence. That was precisely why Satan was such a powerful entity—one with a true soul, a mind, and the potential for genuine growth and cultivation.
"I suppose wisdom and curiosity came with the package."
A small sigh escaped Cain.
Paradise was not his home, and unlike the Crimson World, it was not a place where he could forge real relationships. He had seen enough to understand that the moment the Blutlinie discovered he came from another universe, their reactions would be immediate and extreme. They would either attempt to kill him outright or try to use him as a tool to explore new lands to conquer.
That was why it would have been better if Satan were no different from the other drones—creatures that merely gathered resources and followed commands.
But that was not the case.
"I created his soul and mind," Cain thought calmly. "I could erase his ego if I wanted to."
Yet he knew that doing so would greatly weaken Satan’s battle power and severely limit his potential for growth. An entity without will could never truly ascend.
Taking a moment to consider his words and the steps ahead, Cain finally spoke, his voice steady and measured.
"I am your Creator," he said. "And you are my weapon. I will make you stronger, and you will protect me."
As he continued, his voice grew colder and sharper, carrying a weight that reached deep into the essence of the dragon.
"A weapon is useless without its creator, and a creator needs his weapon to survive. We will stand together against everyone in this universe."
Determination and killing intent surged from Satan’s soul as he raised his head and roared in response.
"Yes, Creator," Satan declared. "Together against everything!"
His voice echoed across the sky, causing the clouds to tremble. As his massive body sank into the crimson waters, his wounds rapidly healed, and his strength continued to grow.
Cain was satisfied with the dragon’s response, but he did not allow himself to be distracted.
After such carnage—and especially after the loss of a Royal Blutlinie—the Kalous Kingdom would inevitably turn its attention toward him.
"They are hindered by the war for now," Cain thought, "but the moment an opening appears, they will come with a far more powerful army."
His gaze hardened.
"I need to grow. And I need to grow fast."
Cain extended his soul and pierced into the minds of Kameron and the other captured Blutlinie. He stripped away their memories, insights, and cultivation techniques. The process caused immense damage, but since they were going to die regardless, Cain felt no hesitation. He took everything he could without completely shattering their souls.
After that, the Omen of the Ocean of the Blood Sun activated immediately. The bodies of Kameron and the remaining Blutlinie were broken down and condensed, their physical forms dismantled without resistance. Hundreds of streams of vitality, energy, and soul force were forged from the remains, along with radiant drops of blood.
The streams were sent directly into the other two cocoons, enhancing their power and accelerating their growth.
Afterward, Cain began purifying the Ancestor Drops.
Every trace of corruption, weakness, and impurity was burned away until only the purest and strongest essence remained. Most of the drops were reduced by more than ninety-eight percent through this process. Even so, Kameron’s Ancestor Drop managed to retain nearly twenty percent of its original size.
The result surprised Cain.
At the same time, it was shocking to realize that even a Royal Blutlinie’s Ancestor Drop was still considered eighty percent impurities.
A wide smile appeared on Cain’s face as he gathered all the purified Ancestor Drops together, fusing them into a single one. The result was an Ancestor Drop roughly the size of a grape—many times larger than the first one he had condensed.
"Nearly eighty percent of this belongs to Kameron’s drop," Cain noted calmly. "Royal Blutlinie truly exist on a completely different level from the rest of their kind."
The more Cain understood about purity and strength within Ancestor Drops, the more obsessed he became with refining them to their absolute limits. His ultimate goal was clear: to gain enough strength to push his Primordial Essence to the point where it could use the Flow to traverse universes.
To achieve that, he might need to push himself beyond the limits of the Third Realm.
Cain did not even know whether such a feat was possible. He had never seen a single entity capable of that level of power.
"No... that’s not true."
Solemnity rose in Cain’s eyes as he remembered the red eyes that had pierced his soul when he had briefly gazed into the Tenth Empyrean World.
"That man," Cain thought, "he is far stronger than the Demon King, the Leader of the Masked Race, or the Ancient One."
Knowing that such a path existed brought a measure of comfort—but it also intensified Cain’s sense of urgency. Those eyes belonged to his ultimate enemy, the man Cain believed to be the leader of the Tenth Empyrean World.
Without wasting any more time, Cain sent the newly forged Ancestor Drop into the fourth cocoon at the bottom of the Ocean of the Blood Sun and fused it with the one he had been nurturing for months.
"RUMBLE!"
The moment the two Ancestor Drops merged, the cocoon began to tremble violently. Massive amounts of life force and energy surged inward, flooding its interior.
"Yes!" Cain exclaimed.
This was exactly what he wanted to see.
The tremor did not mean the body was ready—not even close. What it meant was that the Ancestor Drop had finally grown powerful enough to begin forging a body around itself.
A body born spontaneously from an Ancestor Drop was far stronger than one forged alongside it. That was why Cain had focused exclusively on strengthening the drop itself rather than interfering with the cocoon earlier.
Now that the body was beginning to form, Cain could safely alter it.
He did not rush the process. Instead, he carefully analyzed the developing form with patience and precision.
"My body in the Crimson World focused on strength," Cain reflected. "The one in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe focused on durability..."
Silence followed as he reached that conclusion. Then, a surge of excitement and thrill rose within him.
"It is time for speed."
