Chapter 2408: Ahead of time
Chapter 2408: Ahead of time
A vast and terrifying force was flying toward the Ocean of the Blood Sun.
It consisted of more than one thousand Peak Prima Deities and dozens of extremely powerful ArchDeities. At the head of this army were two Alpha Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie—a man and a woman. The duo shared the defining traits of their lineage: white hair and a third red eye glowing with ancient authority.
However, they also possessed unique qualities that set them apart.
The man was nearly twice the size of a normal Royal Blutlinie, his massive frame carrying an overwhelming physical strength that distorted the space around him. His presence alone radiated crushing pressure. Yet despite his monstrous build, it was the woman who commanded even greater power.
She had short hair, and her body was covered in strange, intricate tattoos that pulsed faintly with energy. Every movement she made carried a lethal sharpness, as if she were a blade walking through the sky.
"Sister Airi," the man spoke with a solemn expression. Though his voice was firm, it carried both respect and caution. "We were supposed to wait until next month to exterminate the Ocean of the Blood Sun. If we had waited a little longer, we could have increased our forces by twenty percent. Not to mention, we have left our side of the border unprotected."
The woman glanced at him and nodded calmly.
"Brother Kantun, you are right," she said. "Rushing this operation will cost us some strength, and the King will not be pleased. However, there is a good reason."
She paused, her red eye glowing brighter.
"Our spies have just informed me of movements from members of the Aztorus Kingdom around the Ocean of the Blood Sun."
Kantun’s eyes widened. It did not take long for a disturbed expression to settle on his face.
"If the Aztorus Kingdom and the Master of the Blood Ocean gather their strength," he said slowly, "they could cut off our exit routes and trap us."
Airi nodded immediately.
"That is correct," she replied coldly. "Which is why we need to move now and destroy the Ocean of the Blood Sun."
She paused briefly before continuing, her voice turning merciless.
"Even if we lose the rest of the army, it will be worth it."
Kantun nodded firmly. To Royal Blutlinie, normal Blutlinie were nothing more than pawns—resources that could be sacrificed whenever the situation demanded it.
Their speed was immense. It did not take long before the shores of the Ocean of the Blood Sun came into view. Instantly, their energies surged, rising without restraint. Neither Airi nor Kantun made any effort to hide their presence.
Airi and Kantun’s eyes sharpened as they saw two figures rise from the blood ocean—Satan and Hades—followed by hundreds of blood arms and spears forming around them.
The duo was surprised by the presence of a second powerful creature. Their reports had only mentioned one. Still, there was no turning back now.
"I will take care of the dinosaur warrior," Airi said calmly, her red eye glowing as a thin, bladed sword appeared in her hand. "You focus on the dragon."
Kantun did not hesitate. His Ancestor Eye flared, and his body began to expand rapidly. His size increased at an alarming rate, but it was not just his physical mass that grew—his power surged alongside it, soon matching the gigantic scale of Satan.
Hades and Satan released their energies in full, channeling the life force of the blood ocean itself before diving toward the Royal Blutlinie.
"BOOOOOOOOOOM!"
A massive explosion echoed across the sky as the bladed gauntlet covering Hades’ arm clashed with the sword in Airi’s hand. Violent waves of dark energy erupted outward, tearing through space.
Both combatants displayed overwhelming strength, but it was their dark energies that were truly terrifying. The power emanating from Hades seemed to annihilate everything it touched, while the energy released by Airi corroded existence itself, melting space as though it were fragile metal.
Less than a second later, an even more thunderous explosion shook the heavens as the colossal bodies of Satan and Kantun collided. Dragon and humanoid grappled midair, their titanic forms struggling against one another as each tried to overpower the other.
Satan was immensely powerful. His scales released scorching heat that burned everything nearby. Yet Kantun endured the flames, his grappling techniques slowly beginning to overwhelm the dragon.
These two battles were the most explosive, but they were far from the only ones.
Thousands of clashes echoed across the Ocean of the Blood Sun as Prima Deity and ArchDeity Blutlinie attacked with everything they had. They did not focus solely on destroying the blood arms and spears. Instead, they unleashed massive waves of destruction directly onto the surface of the blood ocean, vaporizing enormous portions of it with every passing second.
Given the sheer size of the Ocean of the Blood Sun, it would take time to destroy it completely. However, the ferocity and killing intent burning in the attackers’ eyes made it clear—they had come prepared.
An hour passed.
The explosions only grew fiercer.
Hades and Satan fought with every ounce of power they possessed, but the two Royal Blutlinie were simply too strong. Severe wounds began to appear across their bodies, their regeneration struggling to keep up.
Even more horrifying was the fact that within a single hour, the Prima Deities and ArchDeities had managed to burn away nearly five percent of the Ocean of the Blood Sun.
The battle pushed deeper and deeper into the ocean, each shockwave threatening catastrophic consequences.
Airi and Kantun wore fierce smiles. They were tired, and though they had taken several injuries, the battle was progressing even better than they had expected.
"At this rate," Airi said coldly, "before the day ends, we will have inflicted enough damage on the Ocean of the Blood Sun that the soul using it as a vessel will surely crumble."
A wide smile appeared on her face as she considered the massive success.
Yet at that very moment, a sense of horror and doom assaulted her heart.
Her instincts screamed.
She gazed into the blood ocean—and froze.
Hundreds of golden cocoons were emerging from within it.
If she had not seen them with her own eyes, she would not have perceived them at all. Their presence was hidden, their aura perfectly concealed.
Then came the truly horrifying part.
The cocoons began to shatter.
And from within them emerged an army of Blutlinie.
